Chapter 293: Not Elementary School Student

Jiang Xuecheng was skillful at lying and he was even able to do it without blinking.

He looked natural and calmly put another slice of sweet and sour lotus root into his mouth to prove that he really liked the dish.

However, Su Wan sensed something amiss. Recalling his frown earlier on, she felt his behavior was abnormal.

She remembered him telling her that he was not picky when it came to food and had no preference to taste!

Su Wan casted him a doubtful look. While he was not paying attention, she quickly snatched a few slices of lotus root with her chopsticks.

When Jiang Xuecheng saw Su Wan’s gesture, he hastily called out to her, “Don’t eat it!”

However, it was too late. Su Wan had taken a bite.

The minute she chewed, she spat out the slice of lotus root.

God, why was it so salty?

Su Wan looked at Jiang Xuecheng in disbelief. He had lied to her that he liked this dish!

Realizing his care and thoughtfulness, Su Wan’s face changed. She looked down and said, “You don’t have to care about my pride. This sweet and sour lotus root is too salty, let’s throw it away.”

Upon hearing this, Jiang Xuecheng walked over to Su Wan and laughed. “Who just told me not to hit her confidence?”

Su Wan seized her hands in embarrassment. “It’s not contradictory. The soft deep-fried pork fillet I cooked is quite good. Let’s not talk about it, okay?”

“Sure, as you wish.”

‘As you wish’, when uttered by Jiang Xuecheng felt sweet. Suddenly, Su Wan felt the saltiness in her mouth cleanly dispersed.

The minute she ate the lotus root, she felt it was salty and spat it out. How could Jiang Xuecheng eat a few slices without a change in his expression?

Su Wan brought out her doubts. Jiang Xuecheng looked steadily at her and with a calm voice, replied, “Because you cooked it. No matter how bad it is, it’s still out of your good intention. Although it tastes salty in the mouth, my heart is happy.”

Su Wan was stunned. Then, she blushed and replied, “You’re good at saying things to make me happy. Too much salt isn’t good for health. Don’t force yourself.”

“I’m serious, I’m not just coaxing you.”

Jiang Xuecheng’s face was still smiling but looked serious.

Su Wan’s heart trembled and felt touched. Then, she quickly diverted the topic.

“There are only two dishes left. Is it enough? Do you want me to cook vermicelli or something?”

Upon hearing, Jiang Xuecheng shook his hand immediately. “No, thank you. I’m not hungry.”

As the Chinese saying goes, ‘when two people are in love with one another, even water can make them full’. Although it was an exaggeration, it currently felt like that to Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng.

After Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng finished their dinner, they switched on the television to watch a movie together. In fact, Jiang Xuecheng didn’t like this kind of TV series but because Su Wan wanted to watch, he accompanied her.

In today’s movie, the male and female leads were quarreling because of various misunderstandings, and this was followed by a cold war. They had even found themselves fake partners to jar one another.

Su Wan looked at Jiang Xuecheng and leaned her head on his shoulders.

“Xuecheng, will we quarrel next time?”

Someone once said how a pair of husband and wife who have never once quarreled prove that their love for one another are not deep enough.

“You’re being silly again. You’ve watched too many movies like this, it’s no wonder you have such thoughts.”

Jiang Xuecheng shook his head speechlessly and then brought Su Wan into his embrace. He reached out for Su Wan’s hair as he caressed her hair.

“Do you think I look like a man who would quarrel with a woman?”

Su Wan gaped and recalled that the male lead in the movie didn’t look like such a man too but he was he and could not be compared to Jiang Xuecheng.

Su Wan smiled. She tilted her face and placed a kiss on Jiang Xuecheng’s cheek. “You don’t look like one.”

She was really blessed to have met Jiang Xuecheng.

In this marriage, Jiang Xuecheng had satisfied all her imaginations of her other half and was even more perfect than she had imagined.

Su Wan had been disappointed about love and marriage probably after experiencing failure in love with Gu Zihang.

If not for Jiang Xuecheng who warmed her up, Su Wan felt she might seal her heart and live through the rest of her life without love.

Fortunately, she met him…

Jiang Xuecheng was surprised when Su Wan took the initiative to kiss him. He immediately tugged her shoulder, locked her head and headed in a deep kiss.

The temperature in the air rose a few degrees higher. Su Wan heard a strong wind in the movie. The male lead and female lead began a heart-rending vindication in the rainy night, ending with a hug as they made up.

The cold war between the male lead and the female lead might have lasted too long and their yearning for one another became more intense. The scene showed the two of them caught in a passion and their love was rekindled. Then, the scene turned X-rated and was not suitable for children.

The previous movies would stop when the meaning was conveyed but why did today’s movie turn out like this?

Su Wan was embarrassed. She said softly, “Let’s switch off the television.”

Jiang Xuecheng gave a soft laughter and took over the remote control as he switched off the television.

“Wan Wan, why do I feel as if you react like an elementary school student?”

As Jiang Xuecheng spoke, he let out a puff of air near Su Wan’s ear. When the scorching hot breath brushed on her skin, Su Wan’s ear immediately stained red.

Su Wan immediately sat on the other side of the sofa and stayed a distance away from Jiang Xuecheng. She began to fight back, retoring, “You’re the one who’s behaving childishly like an elementary school student.”

Before Su Wan could finish, Jiang Xuecheng blocked the rest of her words in her mouth.

Caught off guard, Jiang Xuecheng kissed Su Wan’s lips and pinned her against the sofa.

“Do you think an elementary school student would treat you like this?”

His deep kiss came like a storm, so irresistible.

Under his attack, the air seemed to have been stolen, becoming extremely thin.

Su Wan’s heart leapt. After Jiang Xuecheng withdrew his lips, she grasped for air and then hammered him. “Get down quickly.”

Jiang Xuecheng was not heavy but Su Wan felt she couldn’t breathe being pinned down by him.

“Alright.”

When Su Wan was surprised why this man agreed so simply, Jiang Xuecheng turned her over and now, she was on top of him.

Even when both of them were still completely dressed, Su Wan could feel the obvious change in Jiang Xuecheng.

Su Wan felt as if she had been electrified. Her body shook and when she was about to get up, Jiang Xuecheng pressed her shoulders tightly to stop her from getting up.

“Wan Wan, don’t you want to try being on top?”

Realizing what he meant, Su Wan answered without thinking, “No!”

The minute her voice died down, Su Wan’s face felt hot and she blushed like a little tomato.

“This is what you said.”

Jiang Xuecheng shot her an unfathomable glance and then pressed her underneath him once again. In an instant, he was like a huge wave, swallowing her.
