In front of the service counter, a man and a woman were standing with their backs facing Su Wan and Lin Fei’er.
Li Peng, who was in casual clothing, was still handsome and gentle while Yang Xiaobing, dressed in a red dress, was leaning against Li Peng’s arm like a timid and lovable little woman. From time to time, she would tell Li Peng what she wanted to eat.
Yang Xiaobing was slender but her stomach had a bump. She stroked her slightly protruding stomach with her left hand and there was a joyful smile on her face.
Lin Fei’er had gone to Dong Chen for a long time and thought that she would be calm when she saw this scumbag and b*tch.
However, when Lin Fei’er saw Yang Xiaobing’s hand on her stomach, she realized that she would never be able to get past some things.
Why did she have to lose her baby while Yang Xiaobing could be here with Li Peng like a loving couple as if nothing had happened?
Lin Fei’er bit her lips bitterly. A baffling sadness ran from her heart to her limbs and bones.
She no longer had feelings for Li Peng but the baby she had lost during the car accident had been a thorn in her heart which she could not remove.
She didn’t even know if the baby had been a boy or a girl. She had once racked her head to think of a name for the baby but in the end, the higher the expectation, the bigger the disappointment…
It would be better to have never known that the child existed and it would be better to have not met Li Peng.
However, there was no ‘ifs’ in this world.
Lin Fei’er felt her heart being seized tightly by someone. She stared at the two people who were close to one another at that moment and felt pain in her eyes.
Lin Fei’er was in a trance. She seemed to have an auditory hallucination.
One moment, she heard Yang Xiaobing kneeling down in front of her and begging her, “Sis Fei’er, I know you love me the most. Please give Brother Peng to me. I’m a child without a father and know how bitter it is to not have a father. I can’t let my child be fatherless.”
Another moment was Li Peng looking at her and murmuring repeatedly, “Fei’er, the person I love most is you. I don’t want things to happen like this. Fei’er, I betrayed you but I’ll treat you well from now on. Let’s not divorce, okay?”

Heat arose in Lin Fei’er’s eyes. She tilted her face up and forced her tears back.
When Su Wan saw Lin Fei’er’s sorrowful look, she was extremely worried.
The heavens could prove that S City was not too big and not too small. If she were to know they would meet this couple at Yun Shuixuan, she would not come even if it was a free lunch.
Worry crept into Su Wan’s clear almond eyes. She asked carefully, “Fei’er, are you alright? Should we go to another restaurant?”
To achieve a 360-degree view without dead angles, Yun Shuixuan had no private rooms. Su Wan was afraid Lin Fei’er would have no appetite to eat when she saw Li Peng and Yang Xiaobing.
Although she had seen only their backs, she was already unhappy.
Su Wan’s voice was soft but one could feel her care and concern for Lin Fei’er through what she said.
Lin Fei’er shook her head faintly. She forced a smile to show that she was fine.
“It’s not necessary. We’ll just have our lunch here. Didn’t you say to have seafood?”
They were all living in S City. Even if she could avoid them now, she wouldn’t be able to avoid them for the rest of her life. Some things were better faced directly than avoided.
With heartache, Su Wan took a glance at Lin Fei’er. Then, just as they turned around to go to their seats, they heard a man’s startled voice which sounded joyful with a mixture of guilt.
“Fei’er, is it you?”

Lin Fei’er had only told Su Wan about her return. Even her parents didn’t know about it.
Lin Fei’er was afraid of a slip of tongue because Li Peng would frequently disturb her parents although her parents had been shutting the door upon his face.
She didn’t want to have anything to do with Li Peng anymore.
The sound of hurried footsteps was heard and Li Peng quickly came forward to block Lin Fei’er and Su Wan.
Li Peng only knew Lin Fei’er went abroad for a holiday but had not expected her to return so quickly!
Li Peng looked at Lin Fei’er steadily and in his clear eyes were surprise and shame.
Although Lin Fei’er had her hair cut short and looked skinnier than before, Li Peng could make out at one glance that it was her.
Ever since he and Lin Fei’er had gotten divorced, Li Peng knew he couldn’t bear to part with her. Lin Fei’er’s name was imprinted deeply at the bottom of his heart.
Even if he saw Yang Xiaobing’s smiley face every day, Li Peng couldn’t help feeling desolate. Every night, he would think of the scene of Lin Fei’er in a white dress being hit by the car.
She was like a beautiful white butterfly stained with blood. It was heartbreaking.
He had wronged Lin Fei’er and perhaps because of this, he did not marry Yang Xiaobing even when her stomach was more and more obvious.
He had been dragging and dragging as if dragging in this manner could wait for Lin Fei’er to change her mind.
With heartache, Li Peng looked at Lin Fei’er with eyes filled with care and concern, “Fei’er, you’re thinner now. Have you not been eating well?”
Yang Xiaobing stared at Li Peng and Lin Fei’er. She had not thought with the appearance of Lin Fei’er, Li Peng would leave her alone to go to that woman!
Lin Fei’er looked at the man in front of her. Her chest felt tight and a sharp emotion flashed through her mind, making it difficult for her to keep calm.
“Excuse me, you’re in my way.”
When Lin Fei’er uttered these words, she was indifferent and stoic, as if Li Peng was a stranger.
Li Peng’s heart was painful. He would rather have Lin Fei’er speak to him indignantly than look at him with cold eyes.
“Fei’er, listen to me, I didn’t marry Yang Xiaobing…”
He didn’t know why but he unconsciously blurted out this sentence.
When Su Wan heard Li Peng’s anxious explanation, she was taken aback. Almost immediately, she looked at Yang Xiaobing.
Yang Xiaobing didn’t expect Li Peng to humiliate her like this. She twisted her red skirt in great embarrassment. She had a pathetic look, as if she could cry at any time.
Among those present, only Lin Fei’er was the calmest. Without looking at Yang Xiaobing, she looked faintly at Li Peng.
“Have you said enough? Could you please get out of the way?”
Now, whether he and Yang Xiaobing were married had nothing to do with her.
The thing that Lin Fei’er cared most about had been crushed on the day of the car accident.
Little by little, it had disappeared in the air, not leaving behind a single thought.
Li Peng had thought that Lin Fei’er would be more or less moved when he told her of his persistence but what he got was her indifference!
When Lin Fei’er turned to go, Li Peng was anxious. He grabbed her wrist and found that she had really lost a lot of weight.
Her wrist was so skinny that Li Peng could feel her bones.
“Fei’er, could you please give me another chance?”
