Jiang Haoxuan had been watching Sheng An’ning by the side. When he saw her crying, his heart felt as if it had been punched hard by someone.
What was his position in her heart?
It seemed that when Jiang Xuecheng appeared, he, who had been accompanying her, became air.
He knew Sheng An’ning cared about his own brother but till now, he was still stubborn. As long as he saw her crying face, he couldn’t stop feeling heartache for her.
Jiang Haoxuan laughed at himself. He was looking for his own trouble.
How much longer could he persist?
On the other hand, Sheng An’ning, who only had Jiang Xuecheng in her mind, did not notice anything wrong with Jiang Haoxuan.
She stared at Jiang Xuecheng and her eyes sparkled. Even her delicate shoulders trembled uncontrollably.
“Brother Xuecheng, would you let me talk to you in private for a while? Just for a while, please…”
Sheng An’ning choked and her voice which was known as the voice of nature was now hoarse because of her crying.
Seeing Sheng An’ning’s pathetic look, Jiang Xuecheng’s heart was still as cold as a rock, completely unmoved. He shifted his eyes to Su Wan, as if asking for her opinion.
Su Wan nodded faintly. She trusted Jiang Xuecheng and therefore, believed that he would not waver at Sheng An’ning’s words.
When Jiang Xuecheng saw Su Wan’s nod, he shot a cold look at Sheng An’ning and said, “Okay.”
As soon as this word was uttered, Sheng An’ning’s pale face turned a little redder. There was endless joy in her eyes as if they were suddenly filled with vitality.
When Jiang Haoxuan saw that Sheng An’ning’s heart was all on his brother, a light of pain flashed through his eyes. He stood up slowly and spoke to Su Wan and Xu Ziyao.
“Mom, Sis-in-Law, let’s go out first.”
Su Wan nodded slightly. She caught up with Jiang Haoxuan’s pace and walked out quickly. Xu Ziyao gracefully walked out of the ward in her cheongsam.
That moment, only Jiang Xuecheng and Sheng An’ning were left in the intensive care unit.
The slightly bright light in the room shone on Jiang Xuecheng’s face, making his facial contour look deeper. He looked like a noble god in the sky, making one who looked at him lose their mind.
Sheng An’ning looked at the man in front of her fondly. Complicated emotions flashed through her eyes that instant.
Infatuation, irrationality, admiration, and a strong desire to possess appeared in her mind.
Jiang Xuecheng looked closely at Sheng An’ning. When he saw the infatuation on her face, he had a sudden disgust.
“What do you want to tell me? My time is limited.”
Jiang Xuecheng’s cold and magnetic voice was like the quiet water of a lake without any waves.
Sheng An’ning took a deep breath. She smiled bitterly.
“Brother Xuecheng, you gave Sis-in-Law so much time. Why can’t you give me some time?”
When Sheng An’ning’s voice entered his ears, there was a moment when he felt Sheng An’ning was a lunatic.
“She is my wife.”
They were merely four simple words but they seemed very heavy, pressing down on her heart and she couldn’t breathe.

Suddenly, Sheng An’ning laughed hysterically. Then, her voice became softer with a few sounds of sobs.
“Brother Xuecheng, do you still remember the first time we met? I was only five years old then. I was brought to the Jiang family and felt everything was so unfamiliar. Then, I cried and you gave me a tissue and wiped away my tears.”
Jiang Xuecheng shook his head coldly. To be honest, who would care about such thing which had happened many years ago?
Seeing his stoic face, Sheng An’ning continued crying and her look was complicated.
She started liking him the first time they met. At that time, she thought that this big brother was good looking. When she grew up, she must become his bride.
Jiang Xuecheng had gradually grown up from a handsome youth to an outstanding man. For many years, she had not been able to enter his heart but she was still glad because no other women had entered Jiang Xuecheng’s heart as well. She was at least the closest woman to Jiang Xuecheng!
However, now everything had changed because of Su Wan’s existence!
Sheng An’ning’s hands seized tightly. There was some resentment in her beautiful eyes.
“Brother Xuecheng, since you were young, you were exceptional no matter where you stood. I’ve always felt that you are different from other men. I’ve never seen you laugh and you seem so lonely. I’ve been thinking how to warm you up.”
As Sheng An’ning spoke, she seemed to have fallen into some kind of obsession. The tear marks on her pretty face were particularly conspicuous.
“Everyone knew how I felt for you but you seem to have not felt anything. I thought there were no women around you, so naturally, you would accept me.”
Sheng An’ning sobbed and finally raised her hand to wipe her tears. In her blurry vision, Jiang Xuecheng was still looking at her faintly and calmly.
Tears filled her whole face and she felt uneasy but she continued.
“You like girls with long hair and I kept my hair long for you. You said girls who learn the cello are classy, so I left my guqin behind and went to Dong Chen to learn the cello. I’ve done more than that for you. You have always been my target and I hope that one day, I can rightfully stand by your side.”
“Brother Xuecheng…”
Sheng An’ning’s voice was hoarse from crying. After calling Jiang Xuecheng’s name, she choked with sobs.
Jiang Xuecheng looked at her indifferently. He was not at all moved by the pale Sheng An’ning in front of him.
“I’ve been chasing after you for years, why won’t you see me? That day, when you and Su Wan came to pick us up at the airport, I saw for the first time that you could look at someone with those gentle eyes of yours.”
“How am I not better than Su Wan? In terms of appearance, temperament, self-cultivation, and talent, which of these is she better at that is worth your love?”
Hearing Sheng An’ning’s question, Jiang Xuecheng gave his answer almost without thinking.
“Because she’s in my heart and no one is better than her.”
That’s right, which part of Su Wan was good?
It wasn’t because Jiang Xuecheng had not met a better woman than Su Wan but no matter how outstanding the woman was, she was not the one he liked.
Su Wan was exceptional and no one could replace her.
Sheng An’ning shook upon hearing this. She seemed to have not expected such answer from Jiang Xuecheng.
Because Su Wan was in his heart, so no one was her match?
Sheng An’ning cried and laughed crazily. “But she’s not good enough for you to like her. Do you know how many men have been involved with her?”
“Enough!”
Jiang Xuecheng’s dark eyes darkened all of a sudden.
“You know Mr. Chen, don’t you?”
Hearing this name, Sheng An’ning’s eyes widened and a strong chill rose on her back.
