I have been jogging for two days and I think I'm finally close to civilization. The monsters have been sparse for the last few hours and the grass is more trodden. I pause, thinking of my wings, tail, and horns and if I should keep them the way they are.
I know that succubus are lower demons, and I don't think humans will like seeing one of them among them. Though I don't care for what they think about me, I am not foolish enough to think there are nobody stronger than me. Worst case scenario, I can run and hide away.
I want something that stands apart from succubus and I have always been more into feathery wings. I used my limited change trait to slightly change the shape and add feathers to them. When I finished and spread my wings, I see they have taken a more angel wings look but with my own flare.(picture in comments)
I try to sharpen my wings to make sure that feature works and the results are better than I expected. I can sharpen the edge of my wings or make all the feathers sharpen individually to shave instead of cut.
I take a few minutes to get used to them, then continue my trek towards civilization. The thought of just hiding the extra appendages crossed my mind but I just scoffed and shook my head. It was comfortable to leave them out and I refuse to hide parts of myself for the sensibilities and beliefs.
I spot a stone wall in the distance that looks pretty old but still strong. It stands about 12 feet high with soldiers patrolling the top. Soon after I spot fields and people working those fields from far away. The farmer's clothes are starting to paint a picture in my head and I wonder what I would it would be like to live in a magical fantasy world.
I take my spear out and put it in the black holster I made on my back. I don't know if inventory rings are rare but I don't want to show off I have one and create unnecessary problems for myself. I also would rather show I am capable of fighting and didn't walk out of a dangerous forest unarmed.
When I got close enough that the villagers were able to see me, varied responses were given. The men mostly dropped their tools and stared at me, my great vision allowing me to see the tents that shot up in their pants. The rest of the men tried to hide their awe but failed miserably. They failed to hide their repeated glances and then suddenly worked harder.
The women's responses were more subtle. The majority shot me jealous and hateful looks, whispering to the women around them or hitting their husbands and yelling at them. Some gave me curious looks and went back to work, and some gave me the same looks as the majority of the men. The women that gave me these looks were surprisingly more than I thought.
I notice that nobody makes a ruckus about my extra appendages, confirming my earlier thoughts. I stop in front of one of the guards, who is standing to the side of the opened gate. He seems to
It takes him a few moments but he quickly regains his bearings. ‘Cute’ I thought while watching the young man try to form a sentence while blushing. The laughs that come a few seconds later from the top of the wall doesn't seem to help his situation.
“W-Welcome to Buitewyke.” he stuttered, finally looking me in the eyes. I hear the sounds of him hitching his breath and I suddenly want to smother his head in my chest.
‘Must be my motherly instinct.’ I think. I lean forward to give even more just to see his response and respond “It's a pleasure.” while looking him up and down as I say the last word. His childish face turns slightly lustful and I feel a tingle go up my spine.
He struggles to take his eyes away from my chest, but his speech is surprisingly clear for someone who was a blushing mess when he finally controls himself.. “I apologize but I must ask your intentions in this village,” he asks. The slight blush on his tan face is the only thing showing me he's still flustered since he gained a steely look.
I tell him the story I've prepared while journeying here, “I would like to rest my head on an actual bed instead of sleeping in the jungle.” I say while activating my bewitching voice magic to make him more trusting. “And this was the first place I have seen in a while.”
The young man's gaze went towards the pear at my back before looking behind me into the forest I just walked out of. I just smile while seeing the thoughts he tries to conceal from showing on his face. The tension drains from his face and he slightly goes back to his previous heavily flustered look.

“A-As long as you make no trouble then you're welcomed by her.” He says to me while gesturing to the opened gate. I thanked him while walking past him to go towards the village. When I walk past the gate I feel someone suddenly grab my arm. I had to consciously stop my tail from stabbing whoever it was and remind myself I'm in civilization now.
I turn around to see the heavily blushing boy with a face of determination. “My name is Jongeling. I usually guard here if you ever want to talk.” The young man quickly turns around and scampers away when he finishes talking.
I just let out a small laugh and continued walking in the town. Though I make sure to remember his name in case I take him up on his offer.
………..
The village was much bigger than I thought it would be. There was a giant town square that was a constant buzz of activity. The town square had four roads running North, South, East, and West.
The South Road was filled with regular looking homes and had nothing spectacular about them. Though I could see what looked like slums behind these houses. Creepy people in corners and corridors were giving me dangerous looks and it didn't take a genius to know what they were thinking.
The East Road seemed to be full of merchants and people trying to sell wares ranging from simple food to jewelry. When I was walking here, everyone seemed to pause and look at me for a second before continuing whatever they were doing.
Though the constant glances from people told me my presence was still noticed. I also had to dodge a few people's hands that tried to take advantage of the closeness that was the result of the market being full of people. The desire to let a few of them get a feel was there though.
The North Road was filled with rich people with the biggest mansion I've seen so far at the end of this road. All the houses seemed to be mansions and the people that lived here seemed to have clothes that seemed unique instead of the general poor quality cloth that everyone else wore.
I received hungry and uniquely possessive looks with offers to become people's mistress and invitations to tea. A few men even outright asked me to be his bedmate for some coins. The thought of me lowering myself for basic coin both disgusted me and made a pleasurable tingle go through my spine. Guess I have mixed feelings about that.
The wives of these rich people gave me the same dirty looks as the farmer wives and the single rich women mostly gave me pondering looks. Guess these women are more educated and dangerous then the others.
The South Road was filled with regular looking homes and had nothing spectacular about them. Though I could see what looked like slums behind these houses. Creepy people in corners and corridors were giving me dangerous looks and it didn't take a genius to know what they were thinking.
The Western Road seemed to be the place for official building. I saw a blacksmith, alchemist, tailor, and more. The alchemist store showed me that brewing potions was a thing which was not in the books that I was allowed in the library back home. The one
The one thing that I happily noted above everything else was that magic seems to be widely used on a basic level. Almost everyone seems to be able to use magic though they have to say spells instead of just willing the magic like I do. Guess humanoids don't use magic like monsters do. There also seem to be a wide variety of species instead of just humans. I saw people with cat ears, dog ears, blue skin, and giant horns just to name a few.
The place that made me pause out of everything was the building I was standing in front of now. The place that has a sign that clearly reads ‘ADVENTURER'S GUILD’.
