Chapter 31: How the turn tables

Last time:

"What should I do with them," Akio spoke to himself before he decided to deal with them later. He spent time making a new dimension and leaving them there. He left plenty of food and gave them orders to wait for him. 

When he was done he continued his ascension upward to the top of the labyrinth.

Without much trouble, the group had easily reached the top.

*Splat*

"That's all of them." Taking a look around Aurora noticed that all the dragon-like lava monsters had been defeated. 

The group had now finished the last level of the labyrinth after about 18 hours. They had taken a break in the middle and went to rest and check in on the kids in the dimension. 

The children had gained a little more light in their eyes and were all eating, albeit slowly. Myu had managed to get some of the kids to open up to her and started a conversation trying to find out where they lived. It was more than likely that they all had come from somewhere in the 'Sea of Trees' but the place was huge and would require a lot of searching to find the exact location. 

When everyone was well-rested they resumed their conquest of the labyrinth.

Now the group was currently walking up a stairway that led to the actual dome of the volcano. When they reached the top they were met with a grey doorway that opened upon the presence of Akio and co. When they walked inside the doorway closed and a familiar magic circle was drawn on the floor. The same process as Orcus and Miledi took place with information being shoved into the brains of the group.

"So this is spatial magic," Shizuku spoke after her headache died down. A grin formed on her lips unconsciously. Shizuku already held very high talent with space magic and with the new magic she just learned she thought she could achieve even higher forms of power. 

Akio was the same in this regard, he already held X rank space magic which gave him abilities like forming isolation barriers and dimensions. The new magic only served as an upgrade to his current and with it, he felt he gained a slight control over the specific properties of the space. One example was being able to isolate air from that said space or removing light. 

Everyone who had received Ava's blessing already had a high aptitude for it making it so their spatial abilities were better than the liberators who gave it to them. 

Surprisingly with everyone talking about the new magic, Miledi was the only one staying silent. It could be seen she was lost in thought thinking of something troubling.

Akio took notice of this and walked over to Miledi. Like he does with most of his girls he instinctually patted the head of Miledi. 

"Huh, oh Akio, geez you just can't resist my charm, huh, well I can't blame you." When Miledi noticed Akio she snapped out of her thoughts and tried to act normal with her annoying nature. 

Still, Akio just continued patting her head not minding Miledi trying to act normal. "You miss them don't you?" Akio put on a warm smile while looking at Miledi. 

Miledi knowing she was seen through just sadly shook her head. Like that they stood there for a while in silence before Akio spoke up. "You know- it's not impossible to bring them back." 

Miledi upon hearing those words froze completely before turning around and starting at Akio tears slowly going down her cheek. "Y-you can do t-that?" 

Akio seeing her reaction responded while still patting her. "Eventually, what I'm reaching for is a place where I would be omnipotent. This includes being able to simply bring back souls to the living world or if need be going back in time and directly bringing their souls to the future. You know Aurora right, she was my girlfriend in my previous life, I asked Ava to give her to me and she did just what I described." 

Hearing Akio's words Miledi began crying harder than ever burying her face into the Akio's chest and damping his shirt. She didn't beg Akio to do what he said when he gained the power to do it or anything of the like. She knew by bringing up the possibility he was already planning to do it for her. That realization made her unbearably happy.

A smile started to form on Akio's lips as he heard the notification. This brung Miledi's affection level to exactly 100, which made her feelings forward him something of budding love. 

Akio didn't bring up the possibility of reviving Miledi's friends without ulterior motive. He now was actively pursuing Miledi as a lover and with the news, he just gave her he was sure he was taking one step further. He would do the same with Shea's mom and anyone else his harem wanted alive. It was his responsibility to make his lovers as happy as possible and he would follow through with the responsibility. 

Eventually, Miledi stopped crying after a while and nos just stood her face still buried in Akio's chest. Her face which was already red from crying turned even redder when she realized what she had just done. She couldn't hate it though as she found it comfortable in his arms and it made her heart start beating hard.

'Geez, this guy.' 

Miledi turned her head a little and saw the amused faces of her boss's lovers. Now her face turned even redder upon the realization that she was being watched in her vulnerable state. 

Quickly yet regrettably she tried to pull away from Akio but was met with some resistance. 

"Let me go you, idiot," Miledi whispered to Akio still struggling but Akio didn't listen. 

Instead, he took advantage of her vulnerable state and budding feelings and planted a kiss on her lips, before finally letting her go. 

Miledi stood frozen looking like she just had red paint plastered all over her skin. Soon however she just lost it and without saying a word she used her portal opener and jumped inside of it leaving back to the dimension. 

Akio walked over to the still grinning girls. *Sigh* "Don't bully her too much." Akio knew that with how much Miledi teased the girls they would use what they just saw to enact a little revenge. 

"No promises." Multiple of the girls responded causing Akio to sigh again. Soon he just opened a portal back to his dimension going to yet again check on the children.

Just like that time passed and it was now nighttime. 

After the girls had thoroughly teased Miledi until near tears they left her alone before dedicating the rest of the day to trying to comfort the children. By the end of the day, most of the kids were comfortable enough to talk about where they were from. 

As expected they were all from the 'Sea of Trees and more specifically Verbergen. With that found out, Akio decided to teleport them all home once Hajime was done clearing Miledi's labyrinth. 

It had become an unspoken agreement that Akio and Hajime would clear the labyrinth separately. This was mainly due to Hajime's need to gain the rest of the ancient magic to further improve his creations. Hajime felt like going in with Akio would dull his skills as Akio was simply too strong for anything to challenge him. 

With that Akio would wait for Hajime to give the signal that he had finished and would simply try to improve the mental state of the children before uniting them with their families.

(A/N: I'm gonna make another chapter about updated statuses and the like. I'll also add more to auxiliary chapters if needed. I'll release at least one more chapter by the end of today before working on my other fix.)
