Chapter 5: The orphanage part 2

As the boys circled Around Kevin’s group like a group of vultures or wolves ready to pounce for the kill, Kevin was shocked that you had to participate in a fight between 5 year olds and nine year olds.

How sadistic this system be he thought. Whether I am in the five year old’s body, I am still an adult in mind and spirit so no. I refuse to participate in this quest!

 

“aaaaahh…..” screamed Jett As he couldn't take the emotional breakdown from the boy circling and laughing That continued to taunt him.

 

This method was effective in breaking down the confidence of Kevin’s group as even he felt as if he had and each he couldn't scratch like someone was hovering behind his skull, like he was being watched by a wild animal ready to attack.

 

Kevin decided to try and ease the moment and remove the intense pressure by speaking rationally to the head of the gang, “we can do this in a more civilized manner, what about I bring you 10 buns tomorrow afternoon once I’m done with school”

 

“who the hell are you?, I don’t remember seeing you around, are you new.” Said Zack

“I’m a friend of Zett from School” said Kevin. This might actually work thought Kevin.

 

“ah… so you're one of those entitled brats that have three meals a day, now you’re here to give us orders. I see… well hate to break it to you, but you're on the wrong side of things this time around” Zack then signaled his people to move closer and boom the intense pressure was back.

 

“your little group is the only thing preventing us from completely owning this orphanage. This could have been a lot easier if you just bent your knee from the start. But now your little friend he’s going to get a beating.” said one of the kids that was preparing to attack.

 

Out of nowhere, a wind blew past by Kevin that he almost ducked and what shocked he was that it was non other than Jett’s younger sister Zola with her small build attacking Zack.

 

She leaped up, put her teeth around Zack's neck and sunk her teeth into his face: the boy seemed to be in great pain considering that he squeaked like a stuffed animal. Every one else was still for a moment as they watched on, they all jumped at each other.

 

Two guys attacked Jett , they punched and kicked him but the damage seemed not to exist. He seemed not to feel anything as his face remained unfazed as he bent his knees a little and choke slammed on of the kids …..making him leak saliva from his eyes,nose and mouth; atleast Kevin hoped it was saliva.

 

Meanwhile one of the other nine year old goons managed to tear Zola off of Zack ’s face who seemed to be scared for life with blood all over his face. Gus and Otis each seemed to be getting there asses handed to them by the two nine year olds like rag dolls and had started to look purple and kind of disfigured.

 

I have to do something or else we are definitely going to lose this fight …….so he took a deep breath and decided to attack the kid that was killing Otis. He punched him and instantly regretted it.

 

The kid he had punch was definitely one of the biggest nine year olds he had every seen in both lives combined and he was sure that kid could be mistaken for a 16 year old but that was not what scared him.

 

What terrified him were three things : one was fact that he definitely had a bone break, second was the big boy flying through the air like a baseball that will definitely guarantee a homerun and lastly was that not a single sound could be heard from the entire place of course not counting the death scream of the big kid.

 

The fights had all stopped and everyone was looking at Kevin that seemed to be just as surprised as they were.

 

Oh my God, I killed a kid; it was just a simple punch but it turned into something that would make Mike Tyson grow new teeth just to say “damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn…..his not coming back up"

Kevin didn’t know how to stop the messages from coming and kept on trying to see of the kid was dead or not. One of the goons rushed and checked on him and seemed relieved.

 

Everyone thought the kid was dead , when they saw the kid sigh in relief they all breathed out like they had all stopped breathing. Otis and the rest re-gathered besides Kevin but they all seemed to look at him with a look of new found respect.

 

In a voice oozing with excitement and merry, Jett said “am glad you were on our side" and then broke into a laughter that made everyone lose all their tension except Zack and is goons who seemed to be running for the hills without looking back at the imaginary wolf chasing them. To them , the small kid called Kevin had transformed into a beast that was going to eat them for supper.

 

A few minutes later,

 

The Gus was applying some healing paste on Otis who really got the worst of it on there side, Jett was talking to some new kids that had now switched sides and become his new followers; the orphanage was now finally under one ruler. His sister on the other hand was busy brushing her teeth for the hundredth time as she kept on saying she beat the nose a little too deep. Gross

 

 

As for Kevin, he couldn’t even move a muscle, he just couldn’t believe what he was seeing. “ this can’t be possible….what kind of disfigured luck is this “ he kept on saying in a low tone under his breathe.

 

Hahaha …… he suddenly started laughing and giggling like he was plankton finally reading the secret formula.

About 5 minutes ago, he had finished reading through the system messages and had discovered that his mana was recharged when he leveled up; so he had activated the heavenly eye.

In front of him stood 3 epic class potentials and one rare class potential. So far he had only seen the common class potential but now not one, not two but for high level talents stood in front of him ready for the taking.

 

Another shocking thing was that the small cute girl with black eyes and hair ,that was usually quite calm and quiet; had the highest potential as the Rare class potential.
According to the system, the ranks for potential where common, epic, rare, unique and finally legendary and the heavenly eye could even specify there best suited elements and paths if he leveled it up once more.

 

“I am going to gloom them into my generals. This is a goof start, I love you heavenly eye, I love you system” said Kevin as he stood up and walked towards the group.

 

“I am going to meet you guys tomorrow, I have to start heading home" he said to them.

 

“Oh ok…..see you tomorrow, thanks for the help today.” Said Otis

 

“yeah….we owe you big time” said Jett as he waved Kevin a goodbye.

 

As Kevin started walking away, he realized he didn’t know the way home since it was his fast day outside but luckily his luck had not run out yet as he had completed the understanding the new world quest during the day and had acquired the map skill which mapped out the routes he had taken before.

 

As he walked down the road home, he decided to check his status window;

His job had changed and discovered that his stats might have been a little too high after punching that kid. He decide to do some research about them when he got home, in order to get a better grasp of his power.
