“Alright, stay focused and alert guys, we’re about to reach the summit.” Said the bald-headed man with a serious expression on his face as they were getting closer to the summit of the desolate mountain peak.
The bald-headed man’s name was Bard. He was currently acting as the guide and also the leader of the group.
Bard was a very sensitive person and could feel even the slightest bit of change. Due to this, as he was getting closer to the summit, he felt an indescribable sensation.
He had an uneasy feeling as if the most frightening fiend currently resided on the summit of the mountain peak.
‘Strange.’ He thought. He didn’t feel that way when he first climbed the desolate mountain peak and stumbled upon the Blood Raging Ape which was kinda weird. Nonetheless, he didn’t stop as he continued to climb higher.
Meanwhile, listening to Bard’s words, all the hunters behind him were quite excited and their mouths were watering with greed. Unlike Bard, they didn’t feel the slightest indescribable sensation or danger.
It was unknown whether it was because their danger awareness was simply lower than Bard's or their greed have just simply overshadowed their awareness.
Knowing that they were getting close to the summit, they all hastened their footsteps. As such, after a long trek through the ever-winding and rocky path, they finally reached the peak of the desolate mountain.
The moment they set foot into the peak of the mountain, whether it was Bard or the other hunters, they all unsheathed their weapons and their battle intent was surging in a peak state like war gods ready for a life-and-death battle.
Even though their group was comprised of five Gold Rank hunters and nine peak Silver Rank hunters, they didn’t dare to let their guards down even if their opponent was a single Gold Rank Blood Raging Ape.
It was a fact that they would come out victorious in the battle against the Gold Rank Blood Raging Ape. However, none of them wanted to die in the process. A magic beast was still a magic beast after all.
The combat strength of magic beasts was, by nature, many times stronger compared to humans at the same level.
Not only that, but their vitality also far exceeded that of humanity and hence, had a higher recovery and level of endurance.
As such, though they were confident in killing the Gold Rank Blood Raging Ape with their group, it didn’t mean that they would all come out unscathed.
‘Hmph! That’s not the Blood Raging Ape.”Blurted out Bard with a surprised expression on his face as his eyes fell into the unknown creature lazily laying beneath the giant Magoi Tree a few meters with his eyes closed as if it was sleeping.
Unlike the Blood Raging Ape, this creature was pitch black from top to bottom and had six legs.
It seemed to have the body of a panther but instead of furs, it had glossy dragon scales black like obsidian including two terrible horns, black as onyx, crest its sloping forehead.
It had bone spurs growing on its back all the way to its ten feet long tails which splits into a dozen tiny tentacles that ended in pads of sharp spiky edges. It looked quite scary and nightmarish.
“Bard, I thought you said the Magoi Tree was guarded by a Gold Rank Blood Raging Ape, I don’t know if I am seeing things but this magic beast doesn’t look like the Blood Raging Ape.”Said Cain with a frightened expression on his face.
Cain was also another Gold Rank hunter and the second most powerful warrior of the group.
“I am not blind Cain, I can also see that.”Angrily answered Bard as his expression darkened. At the same time, an uncontrollable fear clutched his gut, writhing and scratching within him, like a creature trying to escape.
The creature ahead of him looked like the blackest night brought to life by his worst nightmares.
Though the beast wasn’t actively exerting its aura, whether it was Bard, Cain, and even the rest of the hunters, they all could vividly feel a dangerous and destructive aura like the coming of an unbeatable fiend coming out from the unknown beast’s body.
This daunting aura was no weaker than of peak Gold Rank Magic beast. However, the aura of a Gold Rank Magic beast was one worthy of awe and fear while this creature’s aura caused the souls of others to flee into the clouds. Its aura was quite shiver-inducing.
At this point, an even more powerful dreadful sensation overcame them as the pitch-black creature whose eyes were closed, opened slowly.
It was a fiendish pair of red searing eyes. It was quite intimidating. Even the experienced warriors would feel their legs giving in. The creature’s eyes could drain someone’s soul away.

“Just what exactly is this thing?” Another horrified Gold Rank hunter suddenly asked as his heart was beating fast while looking at the fiendish monster laying on the ground whose eyes were now fixated upon them.
Bard and Cain were both peak Gold Rank warriors, but at this minute, both of their legs couldn’t stop shaking as they were unable to stand straight as they were all being stared at by the monster.
‘You guys finally made it to the top. I almost fell asleep while waiting for you.’ Inwardly thought Primordius before getting up.
He had long known about their presence the moment they stepped foot at the base of the desolate mountain peak with his Mind Eye’s Skill.
Unlike before when he was only able to cover a distance of forty meters radius with his Mind Eye’s Skill, now it was powerful enough to cover the entire Desolate Mountain Peak
As an Epic Rank Skill, the Mind Eye skill grew with the user. Hence, the more powerful Primordius got, the more powerful the Mind Eye Skill became, and the Primordius has gotten quite strong in the past four months.

‘It’s been such a long time since I heard that beautiful melody and taste human flesh.’ He added as he opened his gaping and cavernous mouth, revealing row after row of serrated teeth, glistening with thick saliva before his mouth curved upward into an evil smile.
At this moment, whether it was Bard or the other hunters, they couldn’t help but shiver at the cruelty and savagery of the monster’s smile.
