Chapter 1: Chapter 1 – Prologue

YGGDRASIL.

Everyone that heard the name will immediately know what is it.

A DMMO-RPG Game that is very popular, even if everyone heard "DMMO-RPG" term, their first mind will be 'YGGDRASIL'.

The game offered freedom to players, customization avatars, thousands of classes, and vast worlds to explore, the game garnered the most attention of public and became very popular after the release.

Sadly, everything will end.

After an intense run in twelve years, the game lost the vibrancy it had once and eventually, decided to shutdown their game.

In the majestic hall, there sat a girl on the throne, she wears white gown that show her curve, the girl seems 16 years old, with straight silver hair that reached her waist, with a pair of white wings behind her, and a triangle halo abover her head, she had  golden amber eyes, a very beautiful face, anyone can mistake the girl as a doll, there's a majestic aura coming from her.

She was the first player that played YGGDRASIL, way long before the game released.

She's special.

As a first player ever in YGGDRASIL, even in beta, she got favored by the developers of the game , even after the release of the game, the devs giving her many perks, such as special job classes, and racial classes, even inserting her character's lore as The Creator of YGGDRASIL (A/N : The devs were simp?)

Though, her relationships with developers is  more like business relationship, all she did is finding bugs and the devs owing her favours.

Right now, she is looking at the multiple floating panels infront her, overseeing the realms of YGGDRASIL. one of her special classes is [All-Seeing God], giving her multiple advantage to observe all the realms, even though higher Anti-Divination can counter it, it still useful for watching low-tier player playing the game, as her hobbies is observing low-players, it reminded her of the time whem she was a low-level player.

Forgot to mention, but she's the Guild Master of Trinity, the 1st ranked guild in YGGDRASIL.

As her eyes drawn to friend list console, especially toward the username 'Momonga'.

'It seems Momonga is online.' she thought, as she decided to message him, even though they're enemies, Alpha respected him as fellow Guild Master.

<Hello, Momonga-san, how you're doing?> (Alpha Omega)

<Ah, Hello, Alpha-san, just waiting for my friends to online.> (Momonga)

<Well, the game will end within twenty minutes, so inviting you friends at the end of game is a must.> (Alpha Omega)

<..Yeah, you're right.> (Momonga)

<What's up?, seems you're rather down..> (Alpha Omega)

<It's fine, This game is very fun, So knowing this game will shutdown got me a bit down..> (Momonga)

<Yeah, you're right..> (Alpha Omega)

<Ah, Sorry for hearing my grumbling..> (Momonga)

<No, It's okay, Momonga-san, knowing your favorite game going to end is painful,I know the feeling..> (Alpha Omega)

They both talked to each other, the topics ranging from telling their experience as YGGDRASIL's players to how they manage their guild.

<It seems the time flow faster..didn't realize it.> (Alpha Omega)

<Well, it's because we're so immersed that we didn't realize it.> (Momonga)

<Yeah, to think the game will shutdown....this game already gave me many things to my life...> (Alpha Omega)

<Hey, Momonga-san, if there's a sequel of the game.. will you play it?> (Alpha Omega)

<Of course, wait, are you hinting there's a sequel of YGGDRASIL?!?> (Momonga)

<Well, even though the developers want me to shut my mouth, there's no harm for telling one person, right?> (Alpha Omega)

<Um, Alpha-san, I think you shouldn't do that..> (Momonga)

"Good bye.." she muttered, sitting at her throne and closing her eyes.

She opened her eyes and blinked, suprised as she still in the game.

'Are the developers delayed the shutdown, or this is their usual prank?' She though as she regained her composure, looking around at the majestic hall, checking if there is anything suspicious, the developers often trolled her for their amusement, like giving her a shitty reward after completing hardcore quests, even making her guild base disappear from existence for a moment.

'Wait..why I can smell ?' The current technology of Neural-Nano Interface can't do that, so how the hell did they do that?

"No way.."  an ethereal and soothing voice could be heard from her,  she widened her eyes, closing her hand with her mouth

'What the hell is happening?' somehow, thrown into this situation, she can keep her composure more easily.

'Is this some sort of Isekai?' as an avid lover of Isekai genre, she knew many stories about characters gotten themselves thrown into another w0rld.

She pinched her cheek, wondering if it just a dream, yet, she felt pain from pinching it, another impossibility.

'You can't feel pain in the game...' She thought while she took a deep breath, fresh air breathed into her lungs.

'This is not a game..' she whispered in her mind, realized the difference between the game and reality.

Suddenly, she can sense someone coming toward the hall and decided to just sat at her throne, as the hall door opened, a woman in her twenty appeared, she had golden hair, mesmerizing emerald eyes, and beautiful face,with a voluptous body , also a pair of wings at her back, the woman wear silver almor that cover her figure.

"Mother!" shouted the woman, there is worriness at her face, as her eyes drawn to Alpha Omega, she sighed  in relief.

"What is it, Gabriel?" she asked with disinterest tone, while maintaining her neutral face.

'Did she just talked?, and why did she calling me mother?' she thought in her mind, making theory about the situation she got herself in, she remember that she wrote all of her NPC's backstory, and inserting herself as the mothel of them because it seems cool.

'So, not only NPCs were real, they may got the personality that I wrote in their backstory, I wonder what other NPCs is like?' she deduced her investigation, not only she can regain her calm easily, but it seems her intelligence has increased several times.

"There is something happened to the Heaven, some minutes ago, the heaven was in the realm of Asgard, but now, we find ourselves at seemingly another realm, possibly Midgard." Gabriel reported their current situation.

Hearing this, Alpha frowned.

'The Heaven was teleported?, so we're not in Asgard, but Midgard?' she thought as she decided what to say.

"Set the Heaven to full alert, also gather all of the Seraph at  5th layer of Heaven immediately." Alpha ordered Gabriel.

"Mother, do you know what actually happened?" Gabriel asked her mother curiously,while she is the direct creation of her mother, it didn't mean that she can understood what actually happened, so asking her mother, who is All-Knowing.

"I will tell you at the gathering, now, just do what I said" she replied with neutral tone.

"Understood, Mother" she nodded and left the hall, leaving Alpha alone.

Now she is alone, let's check her current condition first, and the future plan about the situation.

Author Note : I got inspired by Holo_Lover fanfic, and decided to write Overlord fanfic, I don't know I should continue this story or no, I wrote this story because it was stuck in my mind.
