Xie Jiling smiled and said, “Alright. I got it.”
Han Zhuofeng stopped looking serious. He then asked, “Are you free that day?”
“I won’t let you go for free. I will pay you for checking that area!” Han Zhuofeng said.
Maybe it was because she was getting paid, but Xie Jiling agreed without any hesitation. “Sure. Send me the address, and I will go take a look at it later on.”
It was almost as though Han Zhuofeng was worried that Xie Jiling would change her mind because he quickly sent her the address.
“Since the production crew will be going as well, why don’t we all go together?” Han Zhuofeng suggested.
“Sure.” Xie Jiling thought about it and realized that this was more convenient.
Whenever she accepted a commission, she would always do things by herself, including traveling.
She had always been by herself while she was on the road and it had always been really lonely.
She had never once experienced the liveliness that usually happened whenever people traveled in droves.
Her class had organized a trip once, and she was planning on going…
But suddenly, there was a commission, and she couldn’t join them on the trip.
This would be her first time having the opportunity to travel with so many people.
With there being so many people on the production crew, Xie Jiling thought that this trip would be really lively.
And so, Xie Jiling agreed without any hesitation.
“I will book your plane ticket and hotel room.” Han Zhuofeng was really happy.
He would leave with Xie Jiling and stay in the same hotel as her.
He would be the safest with her.
By then, he could arrange for Xie Jiling to stay next door.
If something really happened, Xie Jiling would be next door, and he would have nothing to fear!
“Sure.” Xie Jiling nodded and agreed without any hesitation.
She didn’t think that there would be anything in the ghost town.
Places with such obviously scary names were usually safe.

Vengeful spirits were not foolish.
They knew that famous places like those attracted not just adventurous humans but exorcists as well.
As such, who would dare to stay there?!
However, Han Zhuofeng would pay and cover her food and living expenses.
Honestly, such carefree clients were few in number.
After making an agreement with Xie Jiling, Han Zhuofeng went back on set.
When Xie Jiling went back to the dorm, Ren Linna and the others were there.
They were playing PUBG together.
It just so happened that they all died one after another. The only one who remained was the teammate randomly assigned to their team.
However, the three felt lazy to watch the fight. So, they all left.
The moment they left the game, they saw that Xie Jiling had returned.
“Eh? You came back so early?” Ren Linna asked in surprise.
They thought that Xie Jiling would stay outside with Han Zhuofeng for a little longer.
It had only been a short while.
She came back so quickly.
“I came back after we were done eating.” Xie Jiling checked the time on her phone and saw that she had been gone for over an hour. How was that early?
Kuang Xiaorou, who had the best sense of smell, sniffed around. She inhaled a couple of times and moved closer and close to Xie Jiling.
“…” Xie Jiling dodged to the back and asked, “What are you doing?”
“You smell like river snail rice noodles,” Kuang Xiaorou said.
Feng Yaqing was surprised as she blurted out, “Please don’t tell me you brought Han Zhuofeng out to eat river snail rice noodles?”
When Feng Yaqing said that, Ren Linna and Kuang Xiaorou were both shocked.

Amazing!
She brought the third son of the Han Family to eat river snail rice noodles!
That wasn’t just a food stall.
It was a very smelly food stall!
If she had brought Han Zhuofeng to eat crayfish or barbeque, it wouldn’t be as shocking as eating river snail rice noodles!
In addition, Han Zhuofeng actually agreed!
They couldn’t even imagine how Han Zhuofeng sat in the restaurant and ate noodles with Xie Jiling.
“Yeah,” Xie Jiling said, “He said he wanted to treat me to a meal. Since he was going to treat me to a meal, I obviously get to choose what I wanted to eat.”
Xie Jiling didn’t think there was anything wrong. And while her roommates were staring at her with their eyes wide and mouths agape, she said, “I have been wanting to get a taste of the river snail rice noodles, but you three wouldn’t go with me because you three said it reeks.”
The noodles didn’t just reek. Ren Linna and the other two also thought that eating those noodles would ruin their image.
They were girls. They obviously had to smell good and look good.
If they ate that and came back smelling pungent, that wouldn’t be good.
“It was rare for him to say that he wanted to treat me to a meal, so I obviously dragged him there with me. If not, I doubt that I could find another person willing to go there with me,” Xie Jiling said.
Xie Jiling looked a little proud of herself.
She thought that it was really smart of her to be able to find someone.
She was really smart.
Everyone: “…”
Xie Jiling clearly had no emotional intelligence.
They didn’t even know what to say.
Initially, they were going to ask Xie Jiling about her relationship with Han Zhuofeng.
Now, there was no need to ask.
Just by looking at Xie Jiling’s reaction, they knew that they wouldn’t be able to get any answers.
They didn’t know if Han Zhuofeng liked her or not.
However, Xie Jiling definitely felt nothing for him. At least, there was nothing, to begin with.
She probably didn’t even know if she potentially had feelings for him.
As Xie Jiling’s roommates, they were the people who had spent the most time with Xie Jiling aside from the members of the Xie Family.
They remembered that Xie Jiling had been really naive when she first enrolled in school.
She had been so naive she seemed like she had just emerged from the forest.
Xie Jiling knew nothing. She had been curious about many things they considered common knowledge.
She was also really simple in the way she dealt with relationships.
You would know based on the way she talked.
As such, they really liked Xie Jiling.
Who wouldn’t like hanging out with someone so straightforward and simple?
When everyone became more familiar with each other, they also found out about Xie Jiling’s capabilities.
In the beginning, Xie Jiling would provide solutions for avoiding disasters and calamities. Until a while ago, they saw her exorcise with their own eyes.
They then found out about the Xie Family.
Of course, Xie Jiling had told them these things.
Xie Jiling was simple, but she was not stupid. As such, she told them the things she was allowed to say.
To Ren Linna and the others, the Xie Family was a family of exorcists.
They couldn’t think of any other way to describe the Xie Family.
And so, Xie Jiling’s relationship with the other classmates deepened.
She became the most favorable existence in class.
Although they didn’t ask Xie Jiling about her relationship with Han Zhuofeng, Ren Linna still reminded Xie Jiling, “Many people saw Han Zhuofeng visit you today, and they will surely gossip about it. I am guessing that the whole school knows about what happened already.”
“You have a good relationship with everyone in our class because we have seen what you are capable of doing. However, the people in other classes of other years and of other majors think that you are a scammer who spouts nonsense,” Ren Linna said.
“Many people are gossipping about you.” Kuang Xiaorou said.
Xie Jiling nodded and said, “I know, but it doesn’t matter to me. They can gossip about me. It won’t hurt me anyway.”
“In addition, if something actually happened to them, they would be begging me for help.” Xie Jiling didn’t care at all. She had thought it through.
She had no conflict with them. And their gossip about her wouldn’t hurt her.
Seeing that Xie Jiling was aware of it, yet she was showing no concern, Ren Linna stopped talking about it.
