Leyte Gulf,

7th of April 1945 

         POP-POP-POP! The sound of Anti-Aircraft shells filled the air. Hundreds of American aircraft swarmed the sky, like mosquitos they came relentlessly. BOOM! another torpedo hit her. The 10Th since the start of the battle. Suddenly she felt a splitting pain and her forward ammo magazine detonated sending plumes of black smoke miles into the sky. Slowly the cold seeped in and the oceans depth came close filling every nook and cranny of her corridors. the sun slowly becoming blurred and light slowly fading. She had failed, The one she loved were gone with the home she knew.

          "P-please... I don't want my family... my sister. . . t-to be l-left alone.." slowly her mind faded and she lost the battle against her critical wounds.

        {Why do we wage war? Is it for a greater good? Is war fun for those who watch it, dose it entertain them to watch us die? Is it just a game those in a higher position control?... do they care about us?} Years alone, It has allowed for plenty of time to think. I feel I am going slowly insane down here. I wonder if my family misses me, and if Musashi and Shinano are ok.

          Who said that?, Am I finally  losing it? have I been her so long I am hearing voices?

           From the surrounding water came a voice silent but audible "who are you?" my voice came out barely stronger than a whisper. Answer young one!    The almost ethereal voice once again spoke, its strict yet gentle tone reflecting the dark cold water surrounding me. "No... I do not wish death, I wish to be with my family again. I wish to see my sisters again."

What would you do to see them again?

           " . . . I would do anything to for the chance to see my sisters again."
