The large stone idol in the center of the room is the first thing that catches your eye. It is at least twice your height and carved with intricate detail. The idol is of a horned creature with a long body and a tail. Its eyes seem to almost follow you as you move around the room.
The room is dimly lit by torches on the walls and it takes a moment for your eyes to adjust. You see that the floor is covered in a thick layer of dust and there are cobwebs in the corners. There are also bones scattered around the room, some of them human.
You get the feeling that this room has not been visited in many years. The air is stale and there is a musty smell. You hear the sound of rats scurrying around in the distance.
You approach the idol cautiously, half expecting it to come to life. But it remains still and silent. As you get closer, you see that there is something carved into the base of the statue, but it’s written in a language you don’t know.
There are three doors that lead to the east, west, and south.

Go South. (Page 61)
