Chapter 49: The Lost Crypts of Gothmog – Page 96

The bear zombie swings its claws at you, but you dodge out of the way. You deliver a powerful punch to its stomach, but it doesn't seem to phase the bear zombie. It swings at you again, and this time its claws connect with your arm, tearing through flesh and muscle.

You cry out in pain, but you don't have time to think about it. You keep fighting

The pain in your arm is like fire, and the blood dripping from your wound is making the floor slippery. You slash at the bear zombie with your sword, cutting through its fur and flesh. It roars in pain and fury, but keeps coming. You manage to slash it with your sword a few more times, but the bear zombie just keeps coming. You keep slashing and stabbing at the bear zombie, until finally it collapses to the ground, dead. You're covered in blood and bruises, but you're alive. And that's all that matters.

You clean your weight on your sword, victorious, panting from the effort. That was one fight you'll never forget!

The wound on your arm needs to be looked at by a doctor, but you’re the only one here. Animal claws are notoriously dirty, and this one was a zombie to boot. You cut strips of cloth from your shirt and bind the arm, hoping that you’ll be able to find proper medical care soon.

Now your need to complete the dungeon is a lot more urgent than before.

You look around you at the room, and find a table full of bottles and miscellaneous items in the alcove behind the curtain where the zombie had come from. There you find a small silver key with the number “60” engraved on it. Most of the bottles are empty but you find a glass vial full of a white liquid. The words “drink me” are engraved on it.

There’s nothing else of interest in the room except for a door to the west with the words “Do Not Disturb” written on it in red paint.
