Regina succeeded in dragging and introducing Becca to many influential men at the wedding but Becca, on the other hand, kept comparing every single man she met to Leo in her head. Not that it was intentional, Leo was the first man she had ever done anything with so naturally her brain thought that for a man to be considered good enough, he had to be as good or even better than Leo. The only problem here was Leo set the bars way too high, it made every man Becca met that evening to fall short of something or seem to lack in a particular area.
Were they not good looking? No, it couldn't be that, all the men she met there were extremely handsome and all had extremely good physique but she still didn't find any of them eye-catching. None of them perked her interest. They were nothing like Leo, not even close.
There was just something about Leo that was different, majestic. His eyes were like doors to a magical universe, they were soul gripping but at the same time held a lot of dark secrets in them. It was intriguing.
The event soon ended and since it was held in New York, Becca immediately drove back to her apartment.
Exhausted and sad at the same time, she went to her room and stripped off her clothes, took a shower and put on a pair of pajamas, then went to the balcony where she stood holding on to it's railings. She stared out into the night as if looking for something, someone. As if knowing the person she was looking for was out there looking right back at her.
" I'm here, my love. I have always been right here." Leo muttered as he watched her fingers wiped under her eyes and narrowed his eyes to get a better look at her.
Was she crying?
His answer came when he saw her use the hem of her blue top to wipe her face. She was crying.
" Why, Becca? Please, no. Your tears are too precious. Is it because you miss me? I know, I miss you even more but this is only temporary, beautiful. We will be together soon enough and we will always be together. Nothing will ever come between us." Leo muttered again as he stood by large window of his condominium, gently stroking his beard as he stared at Becca through it.
He had rented the place as soon as he got back to America because it gave a perfect view of Becca's room but only chose to move into it that night because after seeing her again, after holding her, he couldn't seem to stay away. He wanted to be closer to her.
Leo never liked his house anyway so that was how he ended up staring at her while she stood at her balcony, fucking marveling at how beautiful she was.
He saw her hand moved to the top of her shoulders, feeling where his chin had rested and it made him smile.
She was thinking about him. She was missing him. He knew it.
Her fingers moved up to the side of her neck and back down to her shoulder, remembering the feeling of his skin on hers.
Becca's fingers then drifted down her collarbone slowly and sensually sliding inside her top which made Leo to instantly tear his gaze away and stare at the blank walls of her bedroom.
The demons in his head tugging hard at his forbidden desires, begging him to watch what he, I mean no other man should even watch. He would kill anyone who did.
'She's not fucking eight anymore but a grown woman now. Your woman.' The demons in Leo's head whispered.
'You have loved her since she was so little, you have been waiting for so long for the time Becca would think of you like this, so why look away now?' Leo covered his ears and shut his eyes, trying to tone out the voices in his head.
' You yourself said you would marry her in a heartbeat without caring if the entire world was against it so why are you looking away now? It's not like Becca belongs to someone else, she's yours, isn't she?'
Leo eyes soon betrayed him and he stole another glance at her balcony but she wasn't there anymore. She was now inside her room, on her bed with the lights on and by the way her body more under the sheets, there was no doubt of what she was doing.
His little kitten was touching herself while thinking about him.
Still watching the explicit show Becca was putting up for him, Leo gulped down the alcohol in his glass. His mind still feeling restless after some many shots and needed something way stronger than brandy.
So what if Becca wanted to pleasure herself while thinking of him, it was her business and she could do whatever she wanted.
A buzz on Leo's phone snatched him out of his thoughts. It was a text from one of his bodyguards letting him know his cousin was there. He went to the door and saw Thiago on the security cameras. Then punched the code and let him in.
With his hands wide open, he smiled. " Cousin."
Leo embrace him and patted him on the back. Though Leo tends to scold Thiago a lot, he still cared about him like crazy. Thiago was like the little brother he never had and one of his family members that didn't completely annoy the shit out of him.
A grumble left Thiago's lips but he still hugged Leo back. Then once they broke the hug, Leo searched Thiago for guns and nodded in satisfaction when he didn't find any.
Leo might have loved the boy to bits but didn't like how overly inquisitive he was about things concerning the mafia. Thiago was too mischievous for his own good and Leo didn't want his beloved cousin to end up like he did, a heartless killer. He wanted Thiago to enjoy his youth and be free from the madness that being a Kane came with, something he never escaped from.
Again grumble left Thiago as he rolled his eyes at Leo who had just given him a thorough body search. " Ugh, I'm not a thief you know." Thiago folded his arms, his eyes holding arrogant defiance and Leo just scoffed at him
There was nothing Thiago did that Leo didn't know about or haven't done before. Blood was thicker than water, Thiago was so much like Leo when he was his age even though he didn't like admitting it. He still knew.
" Maybe not tonight but you were when you stole Damien's gun from his house." Leo watched Thiago walk over to his couch and sunk his body into it.
" I didn't steal his gun. It was calling my name and I borrowed it." Thiago defended himself, nervously scratching the back of his neck with his hand.
" Taking things without permission is called stealing, Thiago." Leo lectured and didn't miss the way Thiago eyes rolled in a sassy manner.
" Yes, father." Thiago's mouth dripped on scalding hot sarcasm and threw his hands on the couch without a care in the world.
Leo returned to the bar in the condo and poured drinks for the both of them. Whiskey— he knew it was Thiago's favorite and walked back to the living room, handing his cousin a glass of it.
Thiago looked at the glass of whiskey then at Leo and shook his head.
" I'm not old enough to drink, remember?" Thiago said, acting all innocent and Leo rolled his eyes.
" Like you haven't been drinking for years, who are you trying to fool?" Leo scoffed when Thiago finally took the glass from him and quickly drank it's contents in one gulp.
" I went to your house but the housekeeper said you packed most of your things and moved." Thiago started, his eyes still looking around the fancy apartment. " You good?"
On hearing Thiago's words, Leo smirked and took a seat on one of the other available chairs. He knew that whatever Thiago was saying was just code for 'I squandered all the allowance money my parents gave me and I need more'.
Leo knew Thiago very well, he knew his father wouldn't give him the money easily so he was using a sly way of approaching his extremely rich cousin for it.
" Yeah, I'm good. I just needed so time to be alone." Leo knew Thiago's game but still chose to play along with it.
Then Leo's eyes, as if having a mind of its own, trailed to Becca's room and saw her lights were now off. She must have fallen asleep or probably passed out from all the pleasure she was giving herself.
Thiago noticed Leo's attention was no longer on him and stood up to get a better look at what took away Leo's concentration like that.
" What are you staring at?" Thiago's voice brought his cousin out of his trance and Leo reflexively, protectively, rose then used his back to block the view before Thiago found out.
Thiago might be younger but he was a grown man now, eighteen to be precised. He could be a potential threat.
Leo didn't want him to see Becca, he didn't want anyone to look at her. She was only his to look at, especially now after she had just finished pleasuring herself while thinking about him. Only him.
" It's nothing." Leo dipped his hands in his pockets and brought out a stack of cash that he knew would definitely distract Thiago from trying to figure out what he was looking at. " Here kid, take it and go enjoy yourself." Leo handed only God knows how much money to Thiago since it was what he actually came over for.
On seeing the money, Thiago grinned and quickly snatched it away from Leo's hands before he changed his mind, like the sneaky little thief he was. And as soon as Thiago got what he came for, he said goodbye and went away, leaving Leo alone in the condo. Not that he minded, Leo loved being alone. He had been alone for so long, he had gotten used to the feeling.
He glanced at Becca's room one last time, seeing as the lights were still off, he decided to call it a night and went to bed.
The next day, Becca woke up but didn't want to get out of bed. It was sunday and she had nowhere important to be that day. Still laying lazily on her bed, Becca bit her lip and her face warmed up as she recalled what she did last night. Remembering how she touched and the ecstatic feeling afterwards.
After laying down there blushing for a while more, Becca moved the duvet cover and slipped out of her bed, grabbed a robe then headed to the bathroom.
Thinking that having a shower would take her mind off him but Becca couldn't have been more wrong.
In the shower, Becca worked the lather on the side of her neck and the feeling of Leo's Beard on her skin revisited her. Not like the feeling ever left in the first place.
The brief memory of their encounter stay with her until she fell asleep, invading her dreams and even waking up with her as didn't want to leave her mind and body yet.
She closed her eyes and licked her lips, feeling the heavy throbs between her thighs that she had only started to have since last night.
To say she was confused was an understatement, how she was feeling about meeting him again was messed up her mind.
Her hands, as if they had a mind of their own, slipped down her soapy boobs, feeling her painfully erect nipples and the wetness between her thighs intensified.
Becca had always heard that cold showers helped cool off people but even that couldn't help conquer the horny spell Leo put her under just with his presence.
She moaned as her fingers slipped down her hips, touching her wet core, the urge for another release too hard to resist.
Becca had never masturbated before last night, she had never wanted to. Never had the urge to. Just the word alone made her cheeks burn, and to be honest, shaky.
The idea of being touched, even by herself was terrifying. She had never felt this way before, all the emotions that bubbled inside her scared the shit out of her and it was all because of Leo. Ever since Leo came into her life, things hadn't been the same. Nothing had been the same. Her mind wasn't hers anymore, now her body and feelings weren't hers as well. They were all his and the worst part of it was that he wasn't even with her but here she was, masturbating with him on her mind.
Becca's legs trembled as she remembered his words, his low voice, picturing him in the shower with her. The water pouring down on both their bodies as they held each other in their embrace.
Her wet finger rubbed over her wetness as she imagined it was him, holding her hands and rubbing it against her. Ordering her to stay still while making her come for him.
She gasped the same way she did when she felt his breath on her skin but now because of the pressure that was building up in her abdomen as she kept imagining his hands moving freely on her boobs and his mouth on hers.
The orgasm soon hit her hard with Leo's name on her lips. It was the second time in her life she had experience the ecstatic feeling of having a release, the first time was last night.
Becca was still a virgin, that fact was already established. She had never felt anything like this towards any man before Leo. And it got her thinking, if that was how it felt when she touched herself, how would it feel when Leo was the one touching her. How would it feel when he made love to her?
After her long shower, Becca wore her robe and stepped out of the bathroom but was overcame with the feeling of sadness when she saw the stock pile made entirely of Leo previous gifts. Wiping the single tear that ran down her cheek, Becca went to her phone and picked it up.
Since Leo approached her last night, since he spoke to her, it meant he wasn't angry anymore, right? He even said she was his so it must mean that they were okay now, didn't it?
With the questions running round in her head, Becca tapped her contact icon on her phone and scrolled down to Leo's number, contemplating whether to call him again or not.
The short time they spent together last night did nothing but made her miss him even more and now she badly wanted to see him, to hear his voice. With that thought, she dialled his number and her heart broke into a million pieces when the call went straight to voicemail.
It hurt. It hurt her so much but she couldn't even get herself to be mad at Leo for ignoring her because it was all her fault in the first place.
After seven unanswered calls later, Becca eventually gave up and decided to get dressed. She got dressed in a pair of sweatpants and a large tshirt, getting ready to head out to the cafe down the street for her sunday morning muffins. She always frequented the cafe on Sundays and was head over heels in love with the muffins they made.
Leaving her apartment, Becca made up her mind to stop thinking about Leo from now on. If he wouldn't pick up her call then why should she think of him?
But of course she betrayed herself and went back on her resolve when she came back home and saw another round of presents sitting in front of her door.
Becca walked towards it and picked up the giant teddy bear and the beautiful bouquet of flowers it came with. Just like the previous gifts, this one also came with a note card that had only one sentence written on it.
' Please don't be sad anymore, my love.'
Her lips stretched with a smile as she read the note in her hand, happily embracing the teddy bear and walked back into her apartment.
