Chapter 11 - He Wanted Hu YuJiao To Be Gone (2)
One of the villagers looked over at Li CuiHua and suddenly said to her, “And you were just yelling at Chi YunChen over this person who faked passing out. You even called him an animal. Well, Li CuiHua, now that we have learned of the truth, don’t you think you own Chi YunChen an apology?”
“Exactly, words can hurt too, you know, Li CuiHua. How could you call him an animal? He’s your nephew after all. Who says that about their own nephews?”
“All day long she tried to blame everything onto his wife too. This Li CuiHua is so sinister!”
“Weren’t you defending Hu YuJiao this entire time? Then why don’t you just have her stay with you instead? She should have been staying with you this whole time anyway. She was only living with the Chi’s because you didn’t want her staying with you.”
“Exactly. Judging by the way you were defending her, you must be very fond of her. Take her to your place quickly then,” Another villager chimed in.
Li CuiHua gritted her teeth. She only sided with Hu YuJiao because she wanted to attack Chi YunChen and Su Man-er. What did they mean she likes Hu YuJiao? That Hu YuJiao, she couldn’t lift with her shoulder or carry with her arms. She was as useless as garbage. And she was going to school too. She had heard that the annual tuition was very expensive. She couldn’t have someone like that in her house. A woman like that was only good at spending money. She didn’t have that much money for her to spend!
Chi YunChen, after giving Li CuiHua and the rest of them one more dark look, turned around, and continued walking away with Su Man-er in his arms.
Su Man-er looked very unwell. He must take her home quickly.
Su Man-er glanced over at Hu YuJiao one more time. After today, Hu YuJiao’s reputation was pretty much completely ruined.
But compared to the life of the original owner, Hu YuJiao’s reputation was nothing.
After all, a life was much more important than some reputation.
Gu ChunMei and Hua ChunRong were still at it. They were still arguing over the matters between Zhao DaShun and Qiao XinXin.
Su Man-er couldn’t care about them anymore. She felt so sick. Her last breath was the only thing that was holding her together.

Chi YunChen was going to take Su Man-er home at first, but Su Man-er was looking worse and worse. Not wanting anything to happen to her, he took her to the bare-feet doctor Sun BaiSong’s place.
Sun BaiSung examined Su Man-er thoroughly, looked up at Chi YunChen, and said, “She had sustained a blow to the back of her head. It looks like it was done by a wooden club. How did you let that happen to her?”
Chi YunChen’s face was dark. He hadn’t noticed that before at all. Now that he had seen it; it looked very serious.
The doctor frowned, looked straight at Su Man-er, and asked, “How did you let her be hurt like that?”
Su Man-er felt so bad. She just wanted to sleep.

She lifted her head and gave Chi YunChen a look before replying weakly, “If I said it was Hu YuJiao who hit me, would you believe me?”
Chi YunChen, “….” He paused for a little, as though stunned by her words. Then, he said to her, “Yes, I believe you.”
Now Su Man-er was the one who was surprised.
She hadn’t expected him to have so much trust in her.
She gave him a look and recounted the entire event of how Hu YuJiao tricked her to go to the hut and how she had knocked her out.
Having said that, she paused for a little and carried on, “If I didn’t wake up in time and convinced Zhao DaShun, everyone would think I was having an affair with him by now.”
As Chi YunChen was listening to her, his look became darker and darker.
To one side of them, Sun BaiSong’s eyes widened as he listened to the story. “I’d never have thought Hu YuJiao could be that sinister and vicious. I have always thought of her as a kind and naïve child.”
Su Man-er chuckled to herself.
Kind and naïve? That woman Hu YuJiao was a poisonous snake, and a cobra at that!
Su Man-er wanted to comment on Sun BaiSong’s remark but dizziness overcame her, and she finally lost consciousness.

When she had woken up again, she was lying on a bed. The one inside her and Chi YunChen’s bedroom.
She looked around the house, and there was nobody else there but herself.
She frowned. Right when she was wondering where Chi YunChen had gone, she heard noises coming from the outside.
“Third Brother, don’t kick me out. Please don’t kick me out. I promised I won’t plot against Su Man-er again. I promise I won’t try to pull anything else again. Will you forgive me, Third Brother? I am begging you. Please forgive me.” The voice belonged to Hu YuJiao.
Smr frowned. Chi YunChen wanted to kick Hu YuJiao out?
Hu YuJiao said again, “Please forgive me, Third Brother. You used to spoil me so much. You’d forgive me no matter what I have done. Please, Third Brother, I am begging you. Please forgive me and let me stay.”
