During the second round of examinations, she was quite relaxed. The reason why she had decided to study hard and pursue her further studies in this world was that the last few worlds had proven that she retained the memories and knowledge from each world.

She had never been in business, yet she had the business experience of Eldest Miss Han; she had never touched a gun, yet thanks to Policewoman Han Yanyan she knew firearms inside and out and was a skilled shooter. And the the skills of fist and knife that she had learned from the apocalyptic world she had verified the inheritance of in her last world.

The only thing that could not be passed down was the body. Every time she switched to a new world, she obtained a new body. Female student Han Yanyan had not been in good shape thanks to lack of exercise, and she had gradually developed this body little by little through physical training.

Therefore no matter what Han Yanyan learnt in any world, she took it very seriously. Because what she learned would not stay in the world, but was truly her own.

But she had also considered more than once - if an architect kept shuttling through these so-called "quick transmigration worlds", always learning, always forging their bodies, taking into consideration that time was infinite, it could be surmised that after many, many worlds in theory the architect themselves would become very powerful.

Therein lay the problem.

First, would Leo ever allow this to happen?

Second, regardless of whether Leo's existence was science fiction or fantasy, could the architect, by shuttling endlessly through all the different worlds and perhaps by acquiring certain technologies or skills, somehow become strong enough to cast off Leo's shackles of obedience and coercion?

It was theoretically feasible, but in reality Leo was still in control. He had once mentioned that three other architects had already died.

Han Yanyan could only press on down the fire in her heart and slowly, earnestly work on her mission in this world.

The final results came out in the beginning of May. Han Yanyan was admitted to the graduate student program of S University.

Yao Chen hosted a celebration in Jinhao, with plenty of red envelopes. Sanhu and the rest gathered to stir up trouble, jeer and tease, but Yao Chen never allowed them to go too far, always stopping things before they reached her.

She was the woman who was about to become his wife. Since he had defended and upheld her publicly, no matter what anyone really thought in their secret hearts they all flattered and complimented her on the surface.

The party room was full of smoke. Han Yanyan wandered out quietly for air while the men were immersed in their fighting and drinking.

She ran into the supervisor that she had once worked under. "Yanyan, I hear that the wedding will be held in August? Congratulations!"

A year later, he was still supervisor. Nothing had changed. Just now he too had gone to the party room and snatched a few red envelopes, joining in the fun. But there had been too many people gathered together in the excitement back then, so he hadn't spoken to her.

Han Yanyan hadn't been to Jinhao in quite a while. The two of them reminisced and caught up in the corridor.

The supervisor had once taken care of her, and her attitude toward him hadn't changed a bit, not at all condescending just because she was about to become Mrs Yao. She spoke to him as if he were still that hardworking supervisor, and she still his little junior sister who worked to pay her tuition.

The supervisor relaxed, let go of some of his polite mannerisms, and once again saw her as that little sister with not much social experience.

"Are they making too much noise?" He asked her, a look of 'I get it' showing all over his face.

Han Yanyan sneered. "You can't teach an old dog new tricks. They'll be at this level all their lives. "

"Yao Chen is on his way up, yet they're still standing still. Just watch. Those who aren't eager to make progress will sooner or later be left behind," she said. "Did they really think that they would rely on that little bit of brotherhood for their whole lives?"

"Sister-in-law! Sister-in-law! Mr. Yao is looking for you!" Xiao Yang called to her, coming out from the party room.

Xiao Yang had now been around Yao Chen for nearly two years, and was finally being allowed into the private rooms.

Han Yanyan bid goodbye to the supervisor and went back in.

Three may keep a secret if two are dead. Once something comes out of your mouth, it's no longer a secret.

Similarly, the person you speak ill of behind their back will always find out in the end.

Han Yanyan had deliberately released such words so that Sanhu would hear them. It wasn't that Sanhu and his ilk didn't know that Yao Chen was changing, but that they themselves weren't capable of being involved in legitimate business dealings.

Yao Chen had once put Sanhu and another brother of his who had gone through life-and-death with him in charge of a business. Sanhu had been given management of a cultural film and television company, with an investment in a show that, from the lineup, was sure to make a lot of money. In the end he had raped an actress, causing quite a storm, and forcing Yao Chen to clean up after him.

The other was put into the real estate business, resulting in him taking bribes and there being quality issues with the buildings. Yao Chen had also been furious with him.

These people had all gone out in high spirits, and come back crestfallen. They felt like official businesses had far too many rules. It was boring and their hands were always tied behind their backs. It was still the underground that was better; if you dared to fight, dared to kill, and dared to risk your life, if you dared to contend with the police in a battle of wits and courage, one could turn an amazing profit from a single suitcase of white powder.

Far more interesting, far more exciting!

It was precisely then that Han Yanyan had first encountered Yao Chen and sounded him out in Room 812 with a few sentences of business administration principles. Yao Chen had listened then, and lost his heart.

Now she was the person sleeping next to him, and even more than that, she would soon become their sister-in-law.

Did her words reflect Yao Chen's thoughts? Had Yao Chen begun to despise his, was he planning on getting rid of them in the future?

Han Yanyan had moved her hand to plunge a thorn between Yao Chen and his closest brothers.

August came. The wedding was grand and magnificent to the point of being nouveau rich. Han Yanyan, clad all in white, walked down the red carpet. This time the earth did not shake, and the world did not collapse.

She became Yao Chen's lawful wife.
