Han Yanyan set out on her crusade against Tang Ke. When her spaceship encountered an ambush in the asteroid belt, a smile appeared on her gorgeous face.

It's been so long that I've become a little bored. Wake up quickly, old man.

She donned her mecha suit, flew out from the landing deck, drew her sword and fought bravely.

When the wolf-patterned mecha pulled out its own sword and collided with her blade, sparks flew. They were in a vacuum, and there was no earth to shake. Even if there were, everyone around was engrossed in battle and had no time to notice.

Only Han Yanyan caught sight of the nearest asteroid, as big as the moon... shaking. She smiled. As she had thought, sure enough, she was the final point of his life of love and hatred.

The hearts and emotions of man were intricate, yet simple.

"I heard that you never married and have no children. What, was no one capable of satisfying you after I left?" Tang Ke's voice came from the comm channel.

"You sound little more manly now," Han Yanyan jeered, "Are you finally taller than me?"

For a while now their two swords had been colliding, sparks flying all around them. The moment Han Yanyan withdrew her sword, she pulled out a laser gun and took a shot. At the very last moment, the wolf-patterned mecha narrowly dodged it.

"Not bad, you haven't forgotten what I taught you," she praised.

Tang Ke snorted. There was no denying that he had laid a solid foundation through his time in the Han family, and that Han Yanyan had made great contributions to it.

But so what? She had regarded him as a plaything, molding and polishing him however she liked. Tang Ke remembered how father and daughter had played with mother and son, and hatred welled up within his heart.

No matter how much these lofty aristocrats talked about actual combat, how could their days of pampering be compared with the tempering of licking blood off the blade of a knife?!

The two mecha circled each other at a speed higher than that of the average spaceship, gradually moving out of the asteroid belt and coming closer to the planet's surface.

Tang Ke had the strangest feeling.

Han Yanyan was weaker than he had expected, and there were far fewer men with her than she should have been able to bring. Surely... this wasn't a trap?

"Did you watch the video I sent you?" he provoked.

She had. Han Jingshan had succumbed to a nervous breakdown upon regaining consciousness because she had watched with her own eyes as Tang Ke killed her uncle.

Han Yanyan had been wandering this world for forty years, and had been taught by Han Jùn to be as emotionless as an iceberg. But Tang Ke's words touched some nerve deep down in her heart.

Her mecha suddenly lost its composure, abandoned its defenses and launched a flurry of attacks! Tang Ke narrowed his eyes, saw a flaw, and cut off an arm.

Han Yanyan calmed back down.

"He... died never having yielded. Angry?" She grinned through gritted teeth.

"You actually watched the whole thing," Tang Ke admired. His men hadn't been able to make it through. Some had vomited, and others had lasting aftereffects.

"That old thing had the hardest bones I've ever seen," he admitted.

"Of course," Han Yanyan replied, proud. "He was the most implacable man I've ever met. His heart was as hard as iron, and no one and nothing could shake him. "

Not gentleness and beauty, nor tender sentiment, nor knife or axe, nor the the slicing of meat and the chopping of bone.

"He has no weaknesses, a true powerhouse. If he hadn't been my father, I might have fallen for him," she said. "Weren't you wondering why I'm not married? It's because there's no man like him in this world strong enough to make me fall in love. "

Tang Ke let out an 'Ah'.

"I knew it. In your eyes, only strength matters!"

"You knew what he did to my mother. You knew what she was going through. And you didn't do anything! "

"You confused me with your smile, trained me with your methods, tried to turn me into a plaything just like my mother!"

"Han Yanyan! If it's strength you like so much, let me show you what strength is!"

The wolf-patterned mecha raised its sword high. The blade came whistling down as if it might split the mountains and the seas.

Han Yanyan raised her own sword to meet it.

The blade shattered, and she lost her remaining arm. In the cracks, various explosions of different sizes occurred. The attack wasn't yet over; halfway through the blow, the wolf-patterned mecha turned. Resting on its shoulder was a photon gun and it boomed in her direction.

At the moment in which white light left the gun barrel, Han Yanyan's pupils shrank. and she decisively abandoned the mecha, ejecting from it seat and all.

The beloved mecha that she had used for many years shattered to pieces before her eyes, shielding her from the blast!

The immense shockwave that resulted pushed her into the planet's atmosphere.

She could see the reflection of the explosion shimmering off the mask of her spacesuit.

In that momentary flash, they heard each other's voices coming from the comm.

"You won," she said.

"I won," said Tang Ke.

"Don't even think about dying," he said, his voice full of excitement and malice. Like a shooting star, the wolf-patterned mecha shot toward Han Yanyan.

He would capture her alive, torture her, violate her, and crush that haughty, cold beauty of hers beneath his foot! The mere anticipation made Tang Ke's blood boil with excitement.

In response to his excitement, Han Yanyan smiled.

Obviously, they were in a vacuum, yet she could clearly hear the sound of the air around them surging, the scream of the planet breaking apart. Obviously there were no stars nearby, yet she could see the white light streaming toward her, lighting up the wolf-patterned mecha from behind.

She watched the universe split open behind him and the white light pour out.

It was time for the world to end, for this deceased man to awaken.

In the end Han Yanyan couldn't help but ask, "Tang Ke, you've become the person you hated the most. Are you happy?"

The world was about to end, and throughout this last high-speed flight, Tang Ke had been in a dreamlike trance. "Am I happy?" he whispered subconsciously.

"I'm happy."

Of course he was happy. As a child, he had been looked down upon by those around him, and ever since then he had been envious, jealous, always dreaming that one day he might become a master one day and step on those who had once trampled him.

Then he had done it. He had brought their family to utter ruin.

Ah, how happy he was!

"I'm glad that you're happy..." Han Yanyan said, "Tang Ke."

The moment that voice reached his ears, he froze.

Tang Ke? Who was Tang Ke? Was he Tang Ke?

No... He wasn't!

He remembered who he was! Why was he here? What was going on with this world? What was this life about?

"Goodbye, my little star," Han Yanyan said with a smile, waiting for the world to end.

...Little star?

"This is it for you and me. It's the day we say goodbye, the time of life and death."

Her!

It was her!?

Han Yanyan's smile suddenly froze.

In her eyes, the white light from the cracks in the universe was about to swallow the world. Within this harsh white light, the wolf-patterned mecha blurred, transformed into a ball of cyan light, and rushed toward her at an unsurpassable speed.

That was not a mecha, nor was it Tang Ke. That was something that had transcended this world!

Realizing what it was, she stretched out her hand toward that cyan light.

The white light surged in, and the world melted.

But before it could melt, Han Yanyan's fingertips brushed the cyan light. In terms of real-world time, they touched for only 0.000001 seconds.

Her consciousness came into direct contact with the soul of an SS-class deceased for 0.00000001 seconds.

That was enough.
