Chapter 3: First Words

"Little Eli! Where are you? Let big sis read you a book and after that, we'll play." Shouted Linda coming to look for me to read me books and play with me, while I'm sitting on the sofa in the living room.

So, I try to crawl off of the sofa towards the table so I can hide under it because I don't want to play with her right now. Just as I was about to do so she shouts: "Eli, I brought a new book about cultivation that mother told me to study." When I heard that I leaned back on the sofa and waited for her on the sofa as she sat next to me and start to read it.

"Eli, when I'm done reading let's go outside in the front yard to play, okay? I'll ask permission from mother when she comes back from hunting."

Are they deaf or what I just said 'mama' clearly. Let me say it again: "Mama!" As to confirm their thoughts they heard me call her again. They both beamed in joy and mother rushed towards me and took me in her embrace and gave me big hug in which Linda also joined.

"We heard little Eli correct! He said 'mama'. Little Eli is so smart. Sweetie say it again let mama hear you clearly."

"Mama!" Because I was pleased with her strong and meaty embrace I complied with her.
