Both Broly and Emma stared at the dark-skinned old man sitting on the side of the saloon door.
"Good morning, young men, what can Easy Pete do for you?" asked the old man kindly.
The man (75-80) known as 'Easy Pete' has a dark complexion and his height is 5'8'' ft. He has white hair due to gray hair and dark brown eyes. His clothing consists of a day laborer's suit and a cowboy cattleman's hat.
As the Legendary Saiyan remained silent, the former Mojave Express Courier decided to take the floor.
"...Do you know anything about the people who attacked me?" asked Emma with a touch of nervousness and fear that the person who shot her in the head would come back to finish the job.
The old man stood for a while in thought trying to remember those dangerous people with airs of superiority.
"The one in the modern suit looked like the boss .... That's all I know. Maybe they know something else in town," Easy Pete said with his gaze in the direction where Primm was standing.
The green-eyed woman was depressed, and at the same time angry at the old man's response ... And the latter obviously noticed it easily, so he decided to add something else to his words to calm her down a bit.
"A word of advice, young lady. If you ever meet him, be careful ... That man has a look that chills the blood. I think he's not to be trusted," Easy Pete assured her in a very serious tone; which was also reflected in his expression. "If you're going to go after that guy, at least go accompanied by someone.... Him, for example." He pointed to the huge man, who had apparently stopped listening to them quite a while ago.
Broly who until now had been distracted looking around with boredom because he was not very interested in the conversation between the old man and the woman ... But that changed when these two began to look at him expectantly for a couple of seconds, so he returned their gaze in silence without knowing what to say about it.
"Understood," Emma accepted the elder's advice with a smile, though she suddenly remembered the latter's name.
At all this, the Legendary Saiyan had been looking around for something to catch his attention to forget his obvious boredom a bit ... But to his 'misfortune' he found nothing.
"Why do they call you 'Easy Pete'?" asked Emma this time with a curious expression.
Of course, she wasn't the only one because Broly stopped what he was doing; and instead started to listen with some attention to the old man's next answer.
The old man at the green-eyed woman's question chuckled because he knew that sooner or later, they would ask about his peculiar nickname.
"I was a seeker of sorts until I decided to settle here to escape the NCR. Now I take it easy; and I help out with the Brahmins and mouflons," Easy Pete replied with a rather peaceful expression.
"NCR?" thought Broly with a clearly confused look, as he was obviously unfamiliar with such a word.
While, the Legendary Saiyan was in his own thoughts, the former Mojave Express courier continued the conversation with the kindly grandfather.
"You were a miner ... The kind that dig for gold and silver?" asked Emma with the same level of curiosity as before.
The old man again laughed in great amusement at the young blonde-haired woman's question.
"No, no ... He searched old buildings looking for technology that worked and such. Some people called him a 'junk finder', but I don't like that term," Easy Pete said with a frown; as he remembered the people who identified him that way. "To me, junk is something that is broken; almost unusable. I was looking for good stuff, weapons, chemicals, spare parts. Valuable things; and in good condition," he finished explaining with a nostalgic smile as his thoughts were temporarily lost in his youth.
Both the green-eyed human and the Legendary Saiyan; where surprisingly the latter decided to say something in the conversation due to it taking a somewhat 'interesting' turn.
"Did you ever find anything good or ... interesting ever?" asked Broly with a touch of interest.
Emma and the old man shuddered at the imposing voice of the man with the exotic tousled spiky black hair, which made them feel like a pair of Brahmins in the clutches of a Legendary Deathclaw ... Anyway, the old man was the first to recover; and continue the conversation.
"No ... But I once had a pretty good concession, east, by the river; though it fizzled out with the raiders. In the end, I got too old to get out; and here I am enjoying my retirement," Easy Pete replied, pointing to himself with an amused tone.
The Legendary Saiyan seemed somewhat disappointed with the old man's response, but he brushed it aside anyway; and this time his thoughts focused on the person who defeated him in New Vegeta.
"What's wrong with the NCR?" asked Emma with a frown because she was of the opinion that the NCR were very noble soldiers, protecting people from looters and other unsavory people.
The old man noticed the green-eyed woman's somewhat angry expression, so he quickly decided to explain himself about it and reassure her a bit.
"Don't misunderstand me, young lady. There are a lot of decent people in the NCR, but they force you to be part of them whether you want to be or not," Easy Pete explained with a grimace at the somewhat imperialistic attitude of the NCR; though luckily his attention was focused on keeping certain scum at bay ... For now.
These words of the old man apparently caught the attention again of the man with eyes as dark as coal, as this 'NCR' reminded him to some extent of his damned dead father ... Though remembering that he killed him with his own hands made him form a disturbing smile; which made both the old man and the green-eyed woman uncomfortable.
"If the NCR gets their eye on them, the towns of Goodsprings and Primm lose their independence right away. Though the NCR keeps the Legion at bay," Easy Pete admitted with a sigh at the end of his words.
The blonde nodded at the older man's explanation, but hearing the word 'Legion' sent a shiver of fear throughout her body.

"Tell me about this ... Legion. who are they?" asked Broly crossly, as there was another faction coming face to face with this 'NCR'; and that no doubt truly got his attention.
Both the messenger and the old man concluded that the huge man was a foreigner from lands too far away not to have seen or heard of Caesar's Legion and their aberrant crimes throughout the Mojave Wasteland.
"Well, in simple words they are the scum of the Mojave. But they are also slaves led by a guy named Cesar or Caesar ... I'm not quite sure how to pronounce it..." said Easy Pete with a slightly nervous laugh.
Broly nodded his head silently, and again returned to his spectator state.
Meanwhile, Emma shifted uncomfortably as she heard about those people because they were some of the worst that could have ever set foot in the Mojave Wasteland.
"A couple of years ago they tried to take over the Hoover Dam, but the RNC defeated them. The NCR wouldn't, or couldn't finish the job, though. The Legion has regained its strength and is almost ready for another showdown at the dam. My money's on the NCR, but you never know..." said Easy Pete almost in a whisper; thinking about the possibility of the two-headed bear losing to the bull.
The blonde gulped at the thought of what would happen if the Legion were to beat the NCR ... It would all be a real nightmare.
"We hear there are Legionnaires on the Nevada side of the river, so keep your guns handy if you don't want to get killed or worse ..." warned Easy Pete to the duo with a very serious tone, as he didn't want to be left with the burden of conscience that those assassins would kill or do one thing worse to these two.
The man with eyes as dark as coal let out a mocking laugh, which obviously caught the attention of the old man and the blonde-haired woman.
"Let them try; they'll end up under my foot," Broly stated with a wry and somewhat sadistic smile on his lips.
Both Emma and the old man stared at the muscular young man in amazement and disbelief at the ignorance in his words (of course they were both oblivious to the latter's exploits) ... No doubt he did not know how sadistic and ruthless Caesar's Legion was, but they both shook their heads anyway as they realized that the latter was most likely.
"... I warned you," Easy Pete said with a neutral tone; while at the same time shrugging his shoulders as the charge of conscience took him out of his mind warning him.
The confident smile of the man with tousled black spiky hair remained on his lips, even after hearing those last words from the old man.
"Yes, well ... Why is the Hoover Dam so important?" asked Emma with the obvious intention of changing the subject.
The old man stopped looking at the arrogant muscular man to start looking at the woman with beautiful blonde hair again.
"The dam gives a lot of power to New Vegas. And besides there's all that clean water from Lake Mead. Whoever controls the dam; will control the territory," Easy Pete explained the logic of why such a place was a strategic location for both factions.
The Legendary Saiyan who had been quietly listening to that last suddenly remembered something that again caught some of his curiosity, but had nothing to do with the current topic.
"A while ago you named these ... 'Bighorners' ... What are they?" asked Broly with his gaze going from the old man to the blonde haired woman waiting for an answer from either of them.
The old man raised his right hand, and pointed to a specific spot where there was a small herd of Bighorners drinking water from a small trough.
"Those are Bighorners over there," Easy Pete replied fondly at the tame animals.
When the huge Saiyan's coal-dark eyes met the large animal his mouth almost immediately turned to water ... That was ... That was food!
"What do you use them for?" asked Emma intending to get the muscular young man's attention because she saw that 'wild' look he gave the Bighorners.
The old man was quite concerned to see the 'primitive' look the huge man was giving his cattle, but he had to say something about it anyway.
"For the meat and hide, basically. You can't put a load on them; they stand still until it's off," Easy Pete replied with a look between the muscular young man and his cattle. "You may run into a herd of wild specimens high in the hills. Be careful. They will attack if they get caught," he warned with a serious tone; but at the same time, he was not sure of his words because in reality the real danger was likely to be Broly ... He didn't know why, but this one had a very intimidating and dangerous aura.
The Legendary Saiyan seemed more excited at the prospect of encountering a large herd of those 'wild Bighorners', and roasting them over a large campfire to satiate his large apatite.
The old man and the green-eyed woman noticing that the huge man was again lost in thought let out a sigh that the Bighorners were safe from the latter ... For now.
"By any chance ... Have you heard from Victor?" asked Emma this time with concern, as she too did not entirely trust said robot.
The old man tilted his head with a thoughtful expression as he remembered the talking robot that moved on its single wheel, and liked as a 'hobby' to observe the Goodsprings inhabitants from some distance ... Kind of creepy in his opinion, but it didn't hurt anyone; and that was more than enough to prove to him that it wasn't a threat.
"The machine? It's harmless. Don't mind Trudy. She thinks there's something hidden, but I think it's nothing more than an unusable relic of an interesting past..." replied Easy Pete with a little hint of mystery in his voice.
The former Mojave Express Courier chuckled at the tone of voice the older man used.
Meanwhile, Broly suddenly came out of his thoughts; and realized that the conversation had come to an end ... He unconsciously gave thanks to some divine being out there.
"Understood. Thank you, sir," Emma said sincerely for the helpful information the elderly man had kindly provided.
The old man formed a small smile on his lips, while at the same time settling into his rocking chair.
"For whatever you need, young lady," Easy Pete assured in a somewhat tired tone; once he closed his eyes and began to try to get some sleep.
After talking to the old man, the Human and the Legendary Saiyan opened the door of the tavern; and finally entered the said place.
