"What the hell just happened?" Deion said in shock as he saw the thunder tribulation disappearing and an earthquake occurred throughout the City of Rebirth.

"I heard someone yell to the sky" Chelsey picked herself up from the ground. This day had truly been a roller coaster of emotions for her. She had gone through several life-and-death situations and advanced her cultivation realm.

With her cultivation realm at high stage Soul Manifestation at the age of 18, everyone in the continent would surely praise her as a prodigy. However, she had seen the real prodigies of this generation. Bruce, Deion, and Sophia greatly exceeded her strengths.

Looking at her best friend still absent-minded from speaking with Sophia, she walked up to her.

"Meredith, what's wrong?" Chelsey asked.

Meredith looked at Chelsey and hugged her tightly.

"Too many things have happened today. I'm feeling overwhelmed" Meredith whispered as she enjoyed Chelsey's warm embrace.

"Tell me about it. I just want to go back home and relax after what we've been through" Chelsey sighed.

"How come you haven't been talking with Deion?" Meredith asked.

"He's been stressed all this time after Bruce left for the third trial. I want to calm him down but it's hard to do so with him and Edward strategizing the entire time" Sophia answered in a depressed tone.

She wanted to help share Deion's burden as well but unfortunately, she was too weak. Looking at the dragons and demons eyeing them, she knew that she would suffer defeat if she went up against any of them.

"Chelsey, have some pride in yourself. You're the heiress of the Carter family" Meredith tried to cheer up her friend. It was tough for both prideful women to only be protected by their boyfriends.

"Yeah, you're right" Sophia smiled and let go of Meredith. She then walked to Deion to ask about the situation.

"Deion, what are you thinking?" She asked as Deion stared at the groups on the opposite side.

"Chelsey, can you call Meredith over?" Deion turned around with a serious look, much different than his usual casual expression.

Chelsey called Meredith over and the group huddled up.

"I have a feeling that the trial will be over any minute now which means we have 15 minutes to fend for ourselves before exiting this place"

"That's the best-case scenario because we don't know where the exit would be."

"My guess is that the exit will appear on the tower where we originally landed" Edward spoke up.

"It's best if we all move back to the tower." Deion suggested.

"Agreed. Those dragons and demons look at us as prey the entire time. In our current situation, we can't afford to take on all of them." Sophia added.

"30 dragons and 21 demons will be our enemies." Edward spoke solemnly.

"Let's head out now" Deion declared and the group quickly moved back to the tower.

The demons and dragons saw the group moving and followed them immediately. The dragon leader had a demented look on his face as he chased the group.

"It's too late for you monkeys to regret your actions"

"The men in your group will die a gruesome death and the women will be treated as toys for my men" The dragon leader laughed as he imagined the torture he planned for the group.

"Keep talking lizard, I'll gouge out your eyes before I cook your flesh in front of everyone" Deion yelled angrily as the group continued to move forward to the building.

Meanwhile, the demons didn't say anything as they chased the group. They planned to hold the group as hostages to extort the inheritance from Bruce. Though they were surprised that the angels didn't decide to do the same thing.

'You fools' The angel leader thought to himself. He had felt great power stemming out of Bruce before he left for the third trial. By the off chance that Bruce managed to obtain the inheritance of Worldly Supreme, he would be able to slaughter everyone here.

Such a small chance was too much of a risk for him to lead his clansmen to chase after the humans. He looked toward the other human group and found them remaining at their original positions without any intention of doing anything else.

The beautiful woman who led the other human group didn't bother to look at the chase. Instead, her beautiful eyes focused on the sky that originally had thunder tribulations. Many things had happened in this place that she needed to report back to her clan.

"Looks like your time is up monkey" The dragon leader grinned as he felt the mysterious protection aura around him vanished.

The dragon leader transformed his body into a small dragon. He then charged directly at Deion, the person who had been pissing him off the entire time.

"Stupid lizard, you think I'm afraid of you?" Seeing that running away is no longer an option, Deion turned back to face the dragon.

"Sophia, support us with your light power as long as you can!" Deion yelled out while drawing out his Divine Emperor spear.

He dashed in front of the dragon and stabbed his spear toward the dragon's head.

"Your puny spear can't penetrate through my skin stupid monkey" The dragon leader gladly accepted the spearhead and pushed forward his claws to Deion's head.

Though the scale of a dragon is indeed the sturdiest defense in the world, under Sophia's weakening spell and Deion's fully charged Divine Emperor spear, even the dragon scales of a Divine King are useless.

Sensing that his defense suddenly got weaker, and the danger posed by the spear, the dragon leader retracted his claws and dodged the attack.

"Everyone, get that woman with the veil!" The dragon leader yelled out. He finally took Deion and the gang seriously after a near-death experience.

The other dragons pounced on Sophia, but they got blocked by Edward, Chelsey, and Meredith. The trio created an elemental wall preventing anyone from reaching Sophia.

Only Deion was on the offensive at that moment because he could easily run away with his immense speed. Sensing that the fight was going nowhere, the dragon leader locked onto Deion's soul.

"Soul Suppression!"

Dragon is known to have an extremely sturdy body and powerful soul. Deion began to feel dizzy as his soul was getting attacked by the dragon leader. He began to falter but stopped when he saw the demons were getting close to his group.

"Bastards, how will I explain to my best friend if everyone dies here under my watch?"

Lights began to appear behind Deion as he recovered his soul. The attack from the dragon leader no longer affected him as he felt more powerful than ever. Something deep in his bloodline awakened at that moment. His blonde hair started to glow bright golden. The oppressive aura sent from the dragon leader completely disappeared from his body.

"Impossible…" Edward muttered as he saw the lights appear behind Deion.

"I didn't expect you to have the bloodline of the Golden Griffin" The dragon leader stared at Deion maliciously.

The Golden Griffin is among the ancient beasts in the world. It is the master of the sky and the ruler of the wind. The bloodline of the Golden Griffin had long been extinguished in the past. The dragon leader had never imagined that the monkey he had been making fun of has the Golden Griffin bloodline.

"Bitch, what are you talking about?" Deion had no idea about the Golden Griffin. He picked up his spear and spun it around to create a storm. The enemies were swept up by the storm and getting hammered by Sophia's light deterioration power.

"Hey, are you finally going to attack or not? The dragon leader turned around to look at the leader of the demon group.

"No, I have a feeling that I will regret it once that person comes out" The demon leader replied. He had sent his group to capture Sophia to no avail.

If Bruce manages to get out of the trial alive and got stronger, the human group will surely wipe out everyone. He too was surprised at the powers of this group of humans. He always thought that human was at the bottom of the food chain.

"Tsk. You do realize that if that bastard obtains the Worldly Supreme inheritance, the only way we get out of this alive is to eliminate his group right?" The dragon leader needed to convince the demons to fight together. Things were currently looking extremely bleak for them.

"He doesn't have any hatred for my group. Why would I be afraid?" The demon leader remained motionless at his location.

"Tell that to the demons you sent out to attack his group" The dragon leader pointed at the demons struggling inside the storm created by Deion.

"Fuck…" The demon leader changed his expression for the first time. He sighed and finally joined the attack.

"Hmph, that's more like it" The dragon leader smiled.
