Deion saw that Bruce entered a moment of enlightenment and stopped bothering him. According to the literature, enlightenment is a very rare phenomenon for cultivators. Most cultivators never had a chance to experience enlightenment. Those who do are said to evolve from their former self. Deion was curious to see what Bruce had learned during these fleeting moments.
Bruce continuously absorbed the information from the Worldly Supreme heavenly beast arts until it was over. He needed time to digest the new information and practice the techniques. However, just as he was about to break out of enlightenment, the book transmitted a fighting scene to his mind.
In the scene, he saw an unarmed cultivator fighting against various types of beasts such as Dragons, Phoenixes, Tigers, and so on. His movements were extremely agile and precise as he blocked the beast's attacks and stroked back whenever he could.
Even against all odds, he managed to defeat all the divine beasts by combining all his techniques together and masterfully destroying the enemies. Every movement and action that he took was flawless.
'So, this is the God Fist that headmaster Steven was talking about' Bruce immediately knew that the person he had just witnessed is the author of the book. Bruce memorized all of his movements and could not wait to practice what he had just learned.
"That was fun" Bruce let out a sigh of relief and woke up from the enlightenment.
"Bruce, what happened?" Deion asked.
"I just learned the secret from this book" Bruce put down the book and began to tell Deion what he had learned.
"Amazing… So, to become Worldly Supreme, we need to break the shackles of this world?" Deion slowly contemplated what Bruce just told him.
"Correct, I believe that unless one breaks the shackles of this world, they will always be stuck at the Great Emperor stage" Bruce nodded.
"But I don't feel shackled by the world though" Deion still didn't quite understand the message from the book.
"To put it simply, everyone is born with some sort of shackles placed on them by the world."
"Humans are naturally weaker than divine beasts"
"Divine beasts are unable to master more than one element"
"Some people are born with more talents than others"
"Worldly Supreme is a stage where you no longer have to obey the laws of the world, instead, you can rule the world"
"Amazing…" Deion slowly understood the might of Worldly Supreme.
"Do you think our master can reach that stage?" Deion asked.
"Maybe, but I don't know how to reach that stage myself" Bruce sighed.
Knowing what the stage entails and actually reaching it are two different stories.
"Bruce, aren't we all screwed when the Worldly Supreme beings from other continents attack us?" Deion got worried as he recalled the dangers that will befall their continent in the future.
"No, because I'm here!" Bruce smiled.
"What would you be able to do? Both of us are getting protected by others" Deion thought it was impossible for Bruce to reach Worldly Supreme in this century.
"What use is there to be fearful of the future?" Bruce answered Deion's question with a question.
"Just have confidence in yourself and keep on improving your strengths"
"I'd like to remind you that there's something more powerful than the so-called Worldly Supreme"
"What's that?" Deion guessed Bruce had a secret weapon.
"It's fate" Bruce said mysteriously.
"Fate? Are you high?" Deion thought his best friend went crazy after obtaining enlightenment.
"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. Who knows" Bruce laughed.
"Let's head out to the training field, I need to test out the new techniques that I just learned"
"Urgh, I want to meet Chelsey later today…" Deion didn't want to train after the battle they have been through.
"Humor me for a little bit. I need to see how effective these techniques are"
"Fine, but you will only get 20 minutes of my time" Deion huffed.

The duo arrived at the training facility and found an empty spot to spar.
"What do you want me to do?" Deion asked.
"Just dodge and defend against my attacks" Bruce began to remember the techniques once again in his mind. He memorized the fight between the God Fist and the other beasts.
"First art, Dragon Ascend" Bruce muttered.
Bruce's fist began to glow with a golden color. The glow began to spread to his entire body. A faint image of a dragon appeared behind him making him look tyrannical.
"Here I come" Bruce barely managed to use the technique as the form took a lot of toll on his body.
"Shit, don't come over here!" Deion didn't want to fight Bruce at that moment due to the oppressive dragon looking at him.
Bruce dashed directly at Deion and threw out his fist. The intent was the same as that of a dragon which triggered Deion's bloodline.
Deion's golden hair glowed, and an image of the Golden Griffin appeared on his back. Both beasts stared at each other with great ferocity.
"My body is telling me to not back down, so I'm going to fight you for real" Deion said as he pulled out his spear.
"Fine by me" Bruce smiled. It's been a long time since the two had sparred seriously.
Deion thrust his spears at Bruce with the intent to kill. This was no longer a friendly spar as it turned into a full-blown battle.
Bruce dodged Deion's attack, but he wanted to surpass his limit.
"Tiger Descent"
Bruce's body turned into feathers as he increased his speed tremendously. Deion could no longer see Bruce. Instead, all he saw were after images of Bruce. Deion closed his eyes and relied on his instincts to track down Bruce.
"Over here!" Deion thrust his spear at the location which Bruce would move to next.
Seeing that he could no longer dodge Deion's attack, Bruce turned off his previous techniques and used the defensive technique.
"Tortoise Stance"
An invisible force was created between Bruce and Deion's spear that propelled the spear away.
"Fuck, this is not fair!" Deion complained. Bruce was already overpowered before. Now with the new techniques Bruce just learned, there was no chance for him to defeat Bruce.
"The fun hasn't begun yet buddy" Bruce turned off his Tortoise Stance while he stabilized his body. Using all the Heavenly Beast Arts took too much energy from his body. He needed to get much stronger to reliably use these techniques.
"Originally, I wanted to practice my close combat skills but since things have turned out like this…"
"I'm going to try to surpass my limits!"
Deion recognized something was wrong when Bruce's aura increased at a rapid pace. He felt that Bruce was transforming into a different being altogether.
"World Breaker"
The ground beneath their feet shook as Bruce attempted to use the final technique that he had learned today. This technique would combine all the previous techniques and allow him to have the ability to break past the limits imposed by this world.
For a moment, Bruce saw that the world was under his control. He could clearly see Deion's breathing and his subtle movements. With so much power available to him, his mind was telling him nothing is impossible!
"Here I c…" Just before Bruce could finish his sentence, he fell to the ground. Bruce didn't know what just happened as his eyes slowly closed.
"BRUCE!" Deion yelled out when he saw Bruce fainting. Deion let out a sigh of relief after confirming that Bruce was alive. Truth be told, Deion's instincts were telling him that he was going to die if Bruce attacked him at that moment. He didn't know what Bruce did, but it seemed to be a taboo technique.
"What happened here?" Headmaster Steven came to the training facility after sensing a fluctuation in Bruce's vitality.
Deion smiled grimly because he didn't know what to say.
"Headmaster, Bruce passed out because he got hungry" Deion came up with the worst excuse in his entire life.
