Chapter 477: Li Nanli Brags About His Perfect Relationship – 1

Li Nanli was inside his study right now, and the room was brightly lit. He was holding a cigarette between his fingers and there was a wisp of smoke swirling in the air. He opened up the document containing the essay and killed the cigarette.

At the same time, Gu Yanqi’s voice came through the video call on the computer. He seemed like he was working out just now, for his breathing was heavy. He continued their conversation as he said, “Can you help me to put in some good words for me with Fu Zhi? Money is not a problem at all…”

However, Li Nanli was not listening to him. Keeping his head low, he flipped through the essay and a grin slowly materialized on his face as he reached the last page of the essay.

He could see that Fu Zhi had put a lot of effort into the essay and the frustration in his heart disappeared.

Fu Zhi sent a rabbit emoticon to him and asked, [It’s late. Are you not going to sleep yet?]

Li Nanli felt his heart had melted.

What he did not know was that the essay was not written by Fu Zhi but Lu Jingqing, and as an affectionate man who cherished his wife a lot, whenever he wrote a love letter for Xu Wei, he would throw in plenty of terms and phrases that suggested his yearning of spending the rest of his life with her.

LI Nanli stroked his phone and then he raised his head to look at his computer. Let’s put the matter aside for the time being. You’re noisy.”

Gu Yanqi was stunned. Then, before he could say anything in return, Li Nanli hung up the video call and made a call to Fu Zhi.

Very soon, Fu Zhi answered the call.

It was rather noisy in the movie set, and Li Nanli could vaguely hear Feng Bo shouting and spewing vulgarity through the phone.

He frowned a little and asked, “Where are you now?”

Fu Zhi was sitting behind Feng Bo. Li Nanli’s voice was drowned out by Feng Bo’s voice, so she could not hear what Li Nanli was saying.

“Hold on,” she said before rising to her feet.

She went to a corner and told everything that happened in the movie set to Li Nanli. When Luis came out of the dressing room with his agent, the first thing he saw was a young lady standing in front of a window.

At her back were the lights of the city. The night sky was full of stars, and the moon was exceptionally bright tonight. Luis had no idea why but he suddenly had an urge to create a poem.

He liked everything about China, including the girls in China. Unlike the girls in his country, most of the girls in China were pretty like dolls and they could always evoke his desire to protect them.

“Luis?” His agent looked dubiously at Luis.

Luis turned around and replied, “You go ahead first. I have something to talk to Ms. Fu.”

His agent knew Luis inside out, so he knew what Luis was going to do. He felt she was familiar but he could not remember where he had seen her before. He rummaged through his brain, and it took him quite a long while before he finally remembered seeing Fu Zhi’s name on Weibo.

Then, he said to Luis, “Mind your manners. She’s the investor and she is definitely the same as those oriental dolls that you met in the past.”

Luis just nodded his head in reply as to say yes. He pulled a rose out from a vase and approached Fu Zhi. “Ms. Fu.”

Fu Zhi turned around, and Luis made eyes at her. Fu Zhi did not know what he was doing, but she did not like it. She brought her brows together in a tight frown and said in a chilly voice, “What’s the matter? Your eyes hurt?”

Luis was stumped.

Since Luis was one of the casts for her movie and they had just finished making the trailer, she did not want to go through the trouble of recast the play and repeat everything again if he really went blind. As such, she paused for a moment and continued, “Take a taxi at the gate and go straight for one kilometer. Turn right on Rong Hua Street and you will find Yu City General Hospital on your right-hand side. Go into the hospital and tell the nurse that you’re looking for Dr. Li. The sooner you receive treatment, the higher the chances of you getting healed. Don’t worry too much and don’t feel guilty about bringing trouble to the crew. I will certainly deduct your money for delaying the shooting.”

Something in Luis’s brain snapped. It was only now he realized how dense Fu Zhi was, and how difficult it was to make a move on her or to make her understand how he felt about her.

That said, he refused to give up just like that. He held the rose between his lips, and Fu Zhi just did not know what to say.

She felt he was being melodramatic, but what she did not know was that Luis could be even more melodramatic. When he saw that Fu Zhi did not have any reaction towards him, he spun 360 degrees, placed his arm on the windowsill beside Fu Zhi, and looked down at her.

Then, Fu Zhi grabbed her scarf to cover her face and lowered her head to continue her conversation with Li Nanli.

“The moon is beautiful tonight,” Luis said.

‘So?’ Fu Zhi thought inwardly.

Luis then gave the rose to Fu Zhi and continued, “It’s getting late. May I have the honor to invite you for dinner? After dinner, I will send you home.”

His voice wafted into Li Nanli’s ear through the phone, and Li Nanli squinted his eyes dangerously.

It seemed to him that someone was making a move on his girlfriend again, and he began to wonder if he should ask his mother to transfer another million to her bank account or not.

After all, the only thing that could get Fu Zhi’s attention was not gifts or luxury goods but money.

With that thought in mind, he sent a text message to Huo Ningxin.

——

Flower and a date.

No matter how dense Fu Zhi was, she could see through Luis’s attention right now. She wrapped the scarf even tighter around her face and said, “I don’t want to.”

“You don’t want to eat at night?” Luis pressed on, “That’s fine, then. How about we go have some wine at a bar?”

“I have wine at home.”

Most of the people would give up at this point, but Luis was not an ordinary person. He was tenacious and he was someone who would not give up unless he got something he wanted. Grinning from ear to ear, he said, “That’s great to hear, Ms. Fu. Since you have wine at your home, why don’t we go to your home instead?”

“I’m sorry,” Fu Zhi replied expressionlessly, “I don’t have a home.”

Luis was speechless.

Li Nanli nodded in satisfaction about his girlfriend’s attitude.

As the main investor of the movie, Fu Zhi felt that she should take care of the psychological and mental status of her crew. She did not want to hurt Luis’s feelings, so she said to him in a polite way, “You’re way too old for me, and I don’t like you.”

Before Luis could say anything, Li Nanli, who was on the other side of the line, was stumped when he remembered that he was 5 years older than Fu Zhi.

Refusing to back away, Luis continued, “I can clearly see that you have a thing on me when we’re shooting the scene just now. Everyone keeps saying that eyes are the window to the soul, so I know you have fallen for me as well…”

His face was serious and his voice was stern as he moved on, “Although I’m someone in the Never-Marry Group, if you can inspire me to write poetry, I can make an exemption for you and marry you.”

Fu Zhi did not know what to say at all.

‘Nope. You don’t want to.’

Luis continued, “Don’t just look at the surface! As long as we love each other, age is not a problem at all!”

“I have a boyfriend,” Fu Zhi replied.

“I know. Ye Shiyun, right? If you like it, I can settle for a three-way relationship as well,” Luis said, “The only demand I have is please don’t leave me alone. I don’t like loneliness. All three of us can sleep on the same bed. I will sleep in between you two and hold both of your hands.”

Both Fu Zhi and Li Nanli were stunned. Their brains were blank, and they just did not know what they should say at all. It took Fu Zhi quite a while to come around to her senses and said, “I don’t like you.”

“No, you like me.”

“No, I don’t like you.”

“No, you like me.”

‘Alright, then. Since you’re being such a nuisance, then don’t blame me.’

With that thought in mind, Fu Zhi grabbed the ashtray from the windowsill and crushed it with one hand.

Luis was shocked.

Before he could say anything, Fu Zhi waved at her assistant and said, “The sky is getting dark, and I think it’s good timing to send him off to Africa to be a miner.”

It was only now that Luis realized he had messed with the wrong person. His blood turned cold and right now, he just wanted to get as far away as possible from Fu Zhi.

The driver from the Lu Family had arrived at the movie set. Perhaps he was very satisfied with Fu Zhi’s attitude, Li Nanli’s voice was gentle as he said, “You’re going to Myanmar this week, right? I will go pick you up.”

Fu Zhi said something in return and hung up the call. She heaved out a sigh of relief, and she felt she should learn more from her father when she thought about the essay that her father wrote.

Before she exited the WeChat group created by Xu Wei, she mentioned her father and said, [I’ll be going to Myanmar this week. I’ve already told my school.]

Everyone in the group fell silent.

Lu Jingqing, [??? You’re in the group as well??]

Addiction, [Yeah? I’ve been here the whole time.]

Xu Weiwei, the gentle beauty, [I let her in! I want her to praise me!]

Lu Jingqing, [@Xu Weiwei, the gentle beauty. Zhizhi is not good at praising others. Kick her out so that we can have the entire WeChat group for both of us only.]

Xu Weiwei, the gentle beauty, [Are you sure about that, hubby?]

That said, Xu Wei still removed Fu Zhi from the WeChat group.

At the Li mansion.

After Fu Zhi had hung up the call, Li Nanli then saved the document containing Fu Zhi’s essay into his phone. He also saved another backup on a USB stick and locked it in the safe.

Li Nanli stroked the picture of Fu Zhi on the screen saver of his phone.

It was a picture of her speaking on the stage in a yellow dress. He got the photo from the forum of No.1 High School.

Li Nanli was in a good mood right now, and he had an urge to tell everyone about it.

However, most of the people were not active on WeChat Moments at a time like this, so very few people would see his post. He thought for a while, and he suddenly had an idea when he saw his contact list in his WeChat.

The contact list was short. Most of them were the shareholders and executives of his company as well as some business partners.

Li Nanli created a WeChat group and invited all of them.

Everyone in the group was dumbfounded as they did not know what Li Nanli was going to tell them.

After that, Li Nanli sent the document containing the essay to the WeChat group.

Li Nanli, [Everyone, please take a look at this document.]

Everyone clicked into the document, and they all were even more confused after they read the first sentence.

‘What the? Is President Li confessing his love to us?!’ All of them thought inwardly.
