Other than stone gambling in the Lucky Cloud Pavilion, there was also another activity that people in Myanmar enjoyed and that’s watching the fight between two professional fighters in the taekwondo gym.
The gym was situated inside a four-story building next to the Lucky Cloud Pavilion.
The first floor was a restaurant that consisted of different cuisines from different countries. The second floor was the game site where everyone could bet on their favorite fighters. The third floor was the taekwondo experience center, while the fourth floor was the hot spring and swimming pool.
At eight o’clock in the morning, Xu Wei asked Ye Jiu to wake Fu Zhi up.
The air in the morning was humid, and the group of big white swans was trumpeting in the garden.
Ye Jiu pinched at Fu Zhi’s cheek and said, “Wakey-wakey! Rise and shine! Let’s go buy milk tea for me.”
Fu Zhi turned around and went back to sleep again.
“Good words never say twice.” Ye Jiu flipped Fu Zhi over and threw himself on her. “If you don’t buy me a milk tea, I will tell our mom that you’re seeing someone outside. And you went out to see him last night. That’s the reason why you came back late!”
Fu Zhi was speechless.
She lifted her head and looked at him.
“Let’s go.” Ye Jiu snuggled against Fu Zhi. “Didn’t you like Li Nanli type of man? If you buy me milk tea, I will bring you to the brothel!”
“Why would I go there?”
Ye Jiu cocked his head and replied, “Well, it’s kinda expensive to maintain your relationship with Li Nanli, so I suggest you change to another boyfriend. We can find a man who looks just like Li Nanli, and you can make him your new boyfriend!”
Fu Zhi did not know what to say.
After she got into the car, she looked outside through the window and fell into a deep silence. She began to wonder if it was the right decision to bring Ye Jiu here.

The street around the Lucky Cloud Pavilion had been one of the busiest streets in Myanmar. It was just that there were fewer people today after the riot last night.
After they got down from the car, the first thing they saw was a big banner on top of the entrance that read, [Whoever can win ten consecutive games or successfully defeat one of our professional fighters, he or she receive a gift from the Taekwondo gym or a free supply of milk tea for half a month! If you’re in for the fight, come and join us on the third floor!]
“So this is how they get people to participate in the match?” Ye Jiu asked.
There were only two milk tea shops in this street, and the one in the building was the best one in Myanmar. Wang Rao ordered her milk tea here when she first arrived in Myanmar. As for other cuisines in the restaurant, Wang Rao told her that they had better options somewhere else.
Suddenly, Xu Wei’s eyes glowed up. She wafted her fists in the air and said excitedly, “Wow! Let’s go to the third floor. I will win the milk tea for you!”
Fu Zhi and Ye Jiu exchanged a glance. They did not know why Xu Wei was so confident that she could defeat a professional fighter, but they were already used to her erratic behavior.
After they entered the building, the waiter on the first floor led them to the third floor through a special elevator.
Not long after they left, a man wearing a black trench coat and black face mask appeared at the entrance of the building.
He had a different vibe compared to other people around him, causing the people to keep a distance from him.
He glanced across the crowd and it was only then they realized he had a pair of deep blue eyes. He then turned his head and clapped his eyes at the banner on the top of the entrance as a sinister smile crossed his face.
—
The third floor.
According to the rules, every participant had to change into a taekwondo uniform.
After Xu Wei paid the money, a coach came up to them. His surname was Zhou. He was not tall, his skin was tanned, and he looked fierce.
Most of the participants were visitors, but it went without saying that some of them were professionals as well.
The playing field for men and women was separated. Xu Wei was the third to go on the stage, while Fu Zhi and Ye Jiu sat in the audience seats.
Right now, there were two women fighting on the stage. They were grabbing each other’s hair as they shouted and yelled at the top of their lungs.
Ye Jiu stood up from the chair and said. “What if our mother’s opponent is too strong for her to handle? We can’t let her get beaten up.”
Besides, considering Xu Wei’s behavior, Ye Jiu was confident that she would cry until the entire building was flooded with her tears, and one of the things that Ye Jiu scared the most was a girl crying in front of him.
However, Fu Zhi was not that worried about Xu Wei as compared to Ye Jiu. She was holding a few stones in her hand that she got from god knew where and said, “Don’t worry. I will help her if something happens.”
‘Then I will pull her down from the stage and admit defeat.’
Fu Zhi had everything planned out for Xu Wei. Just when she finished speaking, something happened on the fourth floor.
Chen Mei had just finished swimming. She was now standing beside the window in her bikini and when she saw Xu Wei, who was in a taekwondo outfit on the third floor, she raised her eyebrows slightly.
She turned her body sideways. The man that her father had set her up with. It was a fifty years old man with a portly figure. People always said that there was no despair if there was no comparison. If she had not met Li Nanli before, she was more or less willing to deal with the partner in front of her.
However, she just felt annoyed by him right now.
Not only was he not good-looking, but even the social status of his family was lower than the Chen Family. Also, he had a big mouth like Wu Qi.
Chen Mei’s patience was thinning.
“Mr. Kim,” she interrupted, “I have something else to do tonight, so I will not be joining you for dinner. Let’s do it another time.”
“When will it be then, Ms. Chen? Look, I’ve been here wasting my time to entertain you for more than half a month. You can’t just leave me hanging here like this. I’m sure you understand what your father wants as well. My wife passed away not long ago, and I…”
“Mr. Kim,” The woman interrupted before the man could finish his sentence.
“If you have the patience to wait, then wait. If you don’t,” Chen Mei lifted her hand and pointed at the 2nd floor of the Lucky Cloud Pavilion next door, “I want you to understand that you are not the only option I have.”
The 2nd floor of the Lucky Cloud Pavilion was crowded with different tycoons from across the country.

As the only daughter of the boss of the Lucky Cloud Pavilion, the status of her family outweighed her identity as a remarried woman. Even some single older men around 50 to 60 years old were still surrounded her like flies, especially that another batch of jade stones was about to come in this month and nobody knew about the quality of the jade stones better than Chen Min.
Mr. Kim worked in the jewelry industry as well. When he heard what Chen Min had said, his attitude changed and he replied with a smile and a respectful tone, “What are you talking about, Ms. Chen? Of course I’m willing to wait. I’ll be looking forward to hearing from you again, Ms. Chen.”
After that, he left through the elevator on the side.
Chen Min scoffed.
In the meantime, the match of the girls’ group ended and a round of applause erupted from below.
The woman who had won nine in a row stood on the stage, waving at the audience. She was a new member that joined the taekwondo gym six months ago, and she participated in the match to promote the gym.
Chen Mei went downstairs and went up to Mr. Zhou, the coach of the taekwondo gym. She waved at him and said, “That woman.”
She pointed at Xu Wei. Jealousy began to bubble in her heart when she thought of how much Lu Jingqing loved Xu Wei. After all, she had not come across a good man even after she ended her marriage two years ago.
A glint of darkness crossed her eyes as she said, “Can you arrange the next match for us? I want to fight her.”
Since Chen Mei was the owner of the taekwondo gym, it went without saying that she was a professional and she held a sixth-degree black belt.
Generally, someone who had gotten a second-degree black belt was eligible to participate in international matches, a fourth-degree was considered to be a Master rank, and a fifth-degree could become an instructor.
Mr. Zhou’s expression changed. “You want to fight her in a match?”
Mr. Zhou turned and looked at Xu Wei, who was stretching her body below the stage.
No matter how he saw it, Xu Wei still looked like a punching bag to him.
Chen Mei lifted her brows and asked, “Why? Am I not allowed to fight her?”
“Of course you can, but…” Mr. Zhou paused for a moment before continuing hesitantly, “Don’t you think it’s a little bit harsh on her?”
‘Harsh?’
Chen Mei let out a cold smirk.
She looked down on those women who relied on men, and she also wanted to teach Xu Wei some lessons for being a coquettish woman.
Mr. Zhou nodded. “I will inform her then.”
“That’s not necessary,” Chen Mei said, “She will know about it when we go on the stage later.”
After that, she went into the dressing room to get herself changed.
Mr. Zhou wiped the sweat off his forehead and he did not know why but he felt Chen Mei did not like Xu Wei a lot.
His intuition had been very spot-on. However, as Chen Mei’s employee, it was without a question that he would be standing on Chen Mei’s side. As such, he went up to Xu Wei and asked, “Have you ever practiced taekwondo? Have you learned anything about taekwondo? Have you ever fought someone?”
The coach fired one question after another at Xu Wei and Xu Wei was stunned. It took her a few seconds to come around to her senses and shook her head. “Nope. I have never practiced taekwondo before. I’ve only ever beaten my son and the ducks that twittered in the garden.”
Mr. Zhou let out a sigh of relief.
Xu Wei was still confused. She pondered for a moment before asking, “Why do you ask?”
“Nope, nope. I just want to make sure if you are a punch… Ahem, ahem, nothing. Just take care of yourself. You’re going up next, so be ready.”
After that, Mr. Zhou turned around and picked up a microphone.
“But…” Xu Wei still wanted to say something, but Mr. Zhou had already gone away.
Another match ended and another trainee received a milk tea voucher.
Xu Wei let out a sigh. Since Mr. Zhou was waving at her from the stage, there was nothing she could do but go up the stage.
Before her opponent appeared, Mr. Zhou suddenly waved his hand and shouted, “Hold on a second! I’ve just been informed that our participant no.3 has the honor of being selected to fight with our gym leader! Without further ado, let’s welcome our gym leader, Chen Min, Ms. Chen, with a round of applause!”
A great round of applause erupted from the crowd. Perhaps this was the first time the gym leader fought someone, all of them were excited.
“I believe that this will be an exciting match!”
After that, he got down from the stage.
In the audience seat, Fu Zhi and Ye Jiu looked at each other and they could sense something fishy.
Chen Mei went up the stage, and both of them bowed at each other before the match started.
“It’s such a surprise to see you here, Mrs. Lu. I’m supposed to go easy on you, but unfortunately, as a renowned taekwondo gym, we can’t do that. After all, it’s unfair to other participants as well.”
“So that means we have to go all out?” Xu Wei was a little nervous. When Chen Mei nodded, she stammered, “All, all right, then.”
Chen Mei entered her battle stance.
“Why must our gym leader fight with her?”
“She looks so weak!”
“Yeah right. We should not waste our time on her!”
“This will end in a second. How is there any possibility that that woman can accept a punch from our gym leader?”
All of them were trainees in the gym, and they all idolized Chen Mei a lot.
Seeing that Xu Wei was not going to make her first move, Chen Mei narrowed her eyes and dashed straight towards her.
Fu Zhi and Ye Jiu’s expressions were grim.
Fu Zhi tossed the stones in her hands, and just when she was about to help Fu Zhi, a figure flew through the air and the stones in her hand fell to the floor.
