Chapter 536: Fu Zhi Wants Some Alone Time

The security guard did not feel enough after reprimanding the Wus. He made a call to holler up the other security guards. Perhaps Shen Cizhou did not pay him enough, he was still using the old flip phone.

As soon as the call connected, he shouted, “Guys, someone is bullying Ms. Fu and her family. Get all your stuff. We’re going to beat the hell out of them!”

Fu Zhi and her family became speechless.

A group of security guards that were taking a nap rushed out from the villa.

Xu Wei turned her head over and she saw some of them were holding guns while the others were clutching bombs. There were also axes, blades, meteor hammers, and some weapons that Xu Wei could not name. One of the security guards, perhaps he was not happy for being woken up from his nap, his hair was messy and he was still wearing his pajamas. He was brandishing the machete so fast in his hands that she could only see afterimages as he shouted, “Who dares to come to our villa and make trouble? I’ll hack him to death!”

Xu Wei became speechless.

She looked towards Fu Zhi and said falteringly, “Why does this group of security guards look different from the security guard in our house? They look just like hooligans…”

“Is that so? They look pretty normal to me,” Fu Zhi said, “Maybe they are not happy because they’re taking a nap just now. They might look scary on the surface, but they are actually a bunch of good people with good hearts. Besides, all of the security guards are the same, whether they are from our country or other countries, they all always get up from the wrong side of the bed.

“Anyway, don’t worry about them.”

Xu Wei did not know what to say.

She had no idea why but she had a feeling that her daughter had a very different understanding of security guards from her. However, she did not have any evidence to prove her daughter wrong. Besides that, there was something more important than that.

She asked, “Zhizhi, when did you have such a big villa?”

‘The time has come at last.’

“For my first birthday, I randomly drew lots on the table and got it.”

Xu Wei was stunned, “You’re already a money-grubber when you’re one year old?!”

Lu Jingqing looked helplessly at his wife.

‘Is that the main point right now?’

Not far away, the Wus were surrounded by the group of security guards.

Wu Zhiheng’s expression was turning darker and darker with each passing second.

He glanced across the security guard in front of him, and each and every one of them was holding a weapon. He also wanted to hide behind someone else’s back, but the group of securities behind him did not give him the chance. They all rushed behind his back and refused to step forward.

Wu Qi then stepped forward, putting himself in between Wu Zhiheng and the group of security guards.

“This is just a misunderstanding,” he said, offering them a smile, “It’s our fault. We thought they were not staying in the villa and if there’s anything my son and I did wrong…”

He threw a glance at Wu Zhiheng before ending his sentence. There was no way he would apologize to the Lus. However, Fu Zhi might be able to fool Xu Wei, but she could not fool him. He could see in a single glance that this group of security guards was different from other security guards.

The way they held their weapons was different and he had a hunch that they would not hesitate to obliterate them if they were given the chance. Therefore, to prevent anything bad from happening, he pushed Wu Zhiheng to the front and commanded, “Say sorry to Uncle Lu and his family.”

“Dad?!” Wu Zhiheng looked at Wu Qi in disbelief. “You’re here and you ask me to apologize to them?!”

Wu Zhiheng thought Wu Qi was going to support him.

Truth be told, Wu Qi’s face turned stern when he received the signal from his son. However, there was nothing he could do as well. The group of security guards was staring at them like a bunch of lambs waiting to be slaughtered, while the Lus did not seem to have any intention of letting them go.

Wu Qi’s patience was running thin. He just wanted to get out of here as soon as possible, so he pushed his son again. “Stop saying nonsense. Chop-chop and apologies to them.”

Then, he went nearer to Wu Zhiheng and whispered to his son, “It wouldn’t do us any good if we fight them here. Fortune is fickle. I’m sure we will be able to get back at them one day in the future.”

Wu Zhiheng froze. His face was dark as he replied, “You know what, dad? I know I shouldn’t say this, but you’re just bullsh*tting.”

Ever since he came across Fu Zhi, he had been the one on the losing side.

“Smack!”

Wu Qi smacked his head, and Wu Zhiheng could hear the sloshing of his brain juice inside of his head.

“What the hell are you talking about, you moron?” Wu Qi snarled, “How dare you talk to your father like that? Stop acting like a spoiled brat and apologize to them!”

Wu Zhiheng became speechless.

He felt so heartbroken that he had the urge to disown Wu Qi. That said, he knew he could not do that. Therefore, he took a deep breath, turned back to face Lu Jingqing, and said, “I’m sorry Uncle Lu. I must have been blinded and I shouldn’t simply accuse you guys of trespassing. And… Fu Zhi too. I’m sorry about that, and I hope you can forgive me!”

There was no expression on Lu Jingqing’s face. “People always say that parents are the best role models for their kids. I hope Mr. Wu will get the facts right next time and educate your son in advance. Don’t wait until the end to have your son come forward and apologize.”

“Yes…” Wu Qi said, “Since we’re clear now, I guess it’s time for us to leave.”

No sooner had he finished speaking than they all went into the limousine that brought them here.

The group of secretaries of the Wu family was still in a daze even after the car door closed.

They could not fathom how and why the Lu Family and Fu Zhi would become the owner of Iris Time Villa in the end. It just did not make any sense.

“So that means Lu Jingqing and his family have been staying in Iris Time Villa the whole time?”

“Duh. Can’t you see the keycard in Mrs. Lu’s hand? So the owner of the villa that we’ve been searching for so many days has been in front of us the entire time!”

“It’s nothing impressive at all, in my opinion. I’m sure we will be able to find another better location to stay than Iris Time Villa.”

“That’s right. Did you guys see their faces just now? They all acted all high and mighty just because they have a villa. Have they forgotten that they’re the ones who begged us to guide them during the stone gambling session?”

“Hmph! Just wait! Fortune knocks once at every man’s door. I’m sure we will be able to show them who’s the true boss one day!”

The secretaries were chiding at the Lu Family. As for Wu Qi, he pinched at the center of his eyebrows and looked at Chen Min. He said, “I’m sorry for what happened today, Ms. Chen.”

Chen Mei shook her head. She still could not forget the things that happened in front of Iris Time Villa just now.

‘So the Lus are the owners of Iris Time Villa?’

With that thought in mind, Chen Mei asked, “Mrs. Lu’s surname is Xu, right? Her daughter’s surname is Fu. Why doesn’t she follow after her mother or her father’s surname…”

“Fu Zhi and Ye Jiu are both adopted by the Lu Family. They are not related to them by blood.”

“But Lu Jingqing treats them as if they are his own kids.”

Chen Mei was shocked. Her husband used to physically and verbally abuse their daughter, and that’s the reason she chose to end her marriage with her husband. She had seen Fu Zhi more than once, and she could see that she was living a good life.

Therefore, she was positive that Lu Jingqing and Xu Wei did not treat her differently even if she was not their real kid.

Wu Qi did not say anything and just nodded.

The car was heading slowly towards the Lucky Cloud Pavilion.

After Chen Mei and her daughter got out of the car, Wu Zhiheng could not hold himself anymore and said, “Dad, why must you force me to apologize to them just now? We’re not entirely on the losing side just now. Besides, our family status is no lower than the Lu Family and if you want to stay in Iris Time Villa, we can just…”

“Shut up!”

Wu Qi glared at Wu Zhiheng, “Stay with them in the same villa? Live there? You know it’s the Lu family’s villa and you still want to stay there? What reasonable explanation do you have if Ouyang Ya finds out? Besides, do you really think that the villa belongs to Lu Jingqing?”

Wu Zhiheng saw the light. “Are you saying that they’re lying? But how about the security guards? It is impossible that they will help them to lie to us.”

Wu Qi looked at his son as if he was looking at an idiot and continued, “Lu Jingqing is the head of the family, but the group of security guards only listen to Fu Zhi. I have known Lu Jingqing for so many years. He only started a jewelry business four or five years ago, but Iris Time Villa was built on Mount Qiu Ling more than ten years ago. If the Lu family can afford to buy the Iris villa, there’s no way I won’t know about it.

“Initially, I thought Fu Zhi was just a girl who relies on her biological parents’ influences and wealth. However, if she really is the owner of Iris Time Villa, it will get a lot trickier.”

“Dad, are you saying that you want to draw her to our side?”

“That won’t work anymore considering our relationship. Remember one thing, Zhiheng, as a businessman, you have to be firm and unable to make up your mind is a taboo. Since we’ve decided to stand with Ms. Ouyang, then we must not go back and make friends with Fu Zhi. You will end up getting nothing if that happens.”

Wu Qi wanted to push the Wu Family to a higher level, and in his opinion, he had a better chance of achieving his goal by standing on Ouyang Ya’s side.

Meanwhile, Fu Zhi received a call from Gu Yanqi after she entered the villa.

Gu Yanqi knew that Lu Jingqing was here for stone gambling, and he owed Fu Zhi a life. Therefore, he figured that he should do something to help them to pay Fu Zhi back for saving his life.

“I have a friend and he has a friend known as Mr. Chu. He has a lot of experience in stone gambling. I won’t say that he could win nine times out of ten bets, at the very least he’s better than those people that your father is consulting. I will set up a meeting for you guys, and I told him about you guys yesterday. He will be returning from Country M today, so are you guys free to meet him tonight?”

His voice was rather breathy and it seemed to Fu Zhi that he was walking right now.

“Chu? Are you talking about Chu Yunsheng?”

“You know him?” Gu Yanqi was surprised. “I heard that his intuition is very spot-on. Not only is he good at stone gambling, but he also is experienced in appraising artifacts. This is the first time you guys attend a stone gambling session so you have to be very careful. If you make a small mistake, you might end up losing all your money.”

Gu Yanqi paused for a while before continuing, “But I won’t let that happen now that I’m here. Even if you lost all your money, I will not let you beg for food at the side of the street!”

Fu Zhi was speechless.

As long as her country was still there, she would not have to become a beggar even if she lost all her money.

“Well, Chu Yunsheng demands a high price for his service, and in my opinion, he isn’t that great.”

Fu Zhi was certain that his luck was not as good as Ye Jiu and he was no better than her in stone gambling.

Gu Yanqi knew that Fu Zhi was rejecting him.

“You don’t have to worry about the pay. I will help you to pay him.”

“In that case, I suggest you give the money to me instead.”

“Give the money to you? You would only use the money to buy milk tea, so I’ve already transferred the money to him in advance. It’s okay if you guys don’t want to meet him tonight, but he will follow you to pick jade stones at the Lucky Cloud Pavilion tomorrow morning.”

Fu Zhi was speechless.

“Wow, you are so efficient.”

“It’s nothing compared to you.”

“By the way, about the videos you sent to Nanli… I know I shouldn’t watch them, but I have to say that you’ve got a great taste.”

Fu Zhi was stunned.

“Huh?”

“You don’t have to feel embarrassed at all. I know your feelings towards Nanli. It’s just that I didn’t expect you to be so… erm… How should I put it, so daring.”

Fu Zhi was confused.

“What are you talking about?”
