Chapter 9: CHAPTER 9: DEPARTURE 

In just a short time of 2 weeks, Ari has started seeing Davy as a big brother and she is always clinging to him. Davy most of the time just ignores her and lets her do as she pleases.

They haven't been able to go inside the necromancer dungeon because it has been closed off. Davy asked system what happened but even system didn't know. A report came in just a few hours ago stating that the dungeon is reacting unstably.

System immediately warns Davy that a dungeon break is about to happen. They all run toward the dungeon, not for some duty to protect the civilians but because they want all the exp for themselves. At the gate, there are already many hunters, D-ranks and many  C-ranks. This ranking system was made by the association, Davy and his team are classified as ??? but their estimated strength is at least B-rank. Davy looks around and notices that the strongest person among the hunters has a CA of 15,000 which impresses Davy.

A skeleton comes out of the dungeon, the all hunters go into battle formation but they are surprised as a group of skeletons come flooding out. The skeletons by themselves are weak but together they are a threat. Behind the skeletons are mages and knights.

The hunters attack, Davy and his team are observing the situation, for now, he looks around and sees that the boss is not around, it is still in the dungeon. Davy runs towards the dungeon and tells his team to follow him, they kill all the skeletons in their way. Davy looks back at Ari and is surprised at how good she is at using magic. They enter the dungeon and a huge group of skeletons show up, many would be nervous in this situation but Davy is smiling with only one single thought in mind, EXP. He runs through the skeletons, killing them like they are dolls, using this chance to increase his proficiency in swordsmanship.

"hahaha, good, exp all around. What are you guys doing, join in." He happily says while slaughtering the poor skeletons.

Even his teammates feel sorry towards them, Ari wastes no time and attacks with fire magic, the rest of them join in too and the exp starts flying.

"DING, swordsmanship proficiency has increased, you have leveled up, intimidation has evolved into soul touch, a god has noticed you."

"Huh, a god has noticed me? What does that mean."

"Gods are the rulers of the heavens, you and everyone else are just entertainment to them." System says.

"entertainment you say, hmm, well whatever, once I get strong enough, we will see who will be entertainment." He smiles like a villain as these words leave his mouth.

System didn't say anything after that and Davy just ignored it and moves on. They arrive at the boss room, on a throne filled with bones of prey, with a dark cloak covering its whole body and aura darker than darkness itself, that's right, it's the necromancer. He stands up from his throne and appears down the steps towards them. Every step the necromancer takes sent aura flying towards Davy but he is completely unaffected.

"Stand back everyone this guy…" he turned his head mid-sentence and see that they have already moved way back.

They know he likes fighting powerful pray alone, he smiles and takes his sword. He attacks with a wind slice but the necromancer summoned bones from the ground to act as a shield. The necromancer fires the arrows toward Davy but he easily knocks them away. They proceed to clash, he kicks the necromancer, covers his sword in fire and attacks but he is blocked by a done shield stronger than the first one.

"Is big brother struggling?" Ari says in a worried voice.

"No Ari, he could have ended this fight long time ago, he is just having fun." Suzy says with a smile on her face full of love.

"Hihihi, big sis Suzy loves big bro Davy." Ari says with a smug smile on her smile.

"Wh..what, no, we dated before but I broke up with, u…um, let's just forget about this and focus on the fight." She says in a nervous and panicking tone.

Ari laughs while Sakura looks at Suzy with a little bit of jealousy. The fight becomes boring since it's so one-sided, Davy uses [1st form, soul slicer], the attack slices the necromancer in half, and everything behind including the throne all get destroyed by the attack.

"DING, you have defeated the boss, C-rank necromancer, 75,000 points will be awarded, you have leveled up, you have gained the skill THE BRINGER OF DEATH, the skill allows you to deal 200% damage on opponents who rank higher than you. The final reward is a tower exclusive, you have been given the chance to enter the tower. Certain gods are watching you with hate and others with interest."

"Sweet, I can finally go into the tower." She says with a face full of joy, he didn't even pay any attention to the gods.

He tells his teammates that he received the reward that will allow them to enter the tower. They all jump as they are all excited to see what it's like in the tower. They walk out of the dungeon and many hunters were waiting for them to come out. They start yelling about how Davy stole the rewards and that he should share what he got.

After carefully looking at him and how he only has one arm they immediately realized who he is and they all moved out of the way.

They go to the association, as they walk in everyone goes quiet and many hunters run away. He arrives at the reception desk and pulls out all the cores he has been saving up from his inventory that he learned a few weeks ago.

"I would like to sell all these core." He says.

"Okay sir, give me a minute."

"Are you not going to run your mouth last time?" he says he an emotionless tone.

"I...I would never do such a thing sir." She nervously says.

The cores get calculated and he receives 4 billion Zin. After that they went to buy some food for the journey, all this stuff was placed in Davy's inventory.

"Good, we have everything we have now, shall start heading out?" he confidently says.

"YES" they happily reply.

They head out with happy expressions as if they are going camping.
