‘Right, last night I got drunk… I really do not want to see the damage.’ I thought to myself, as I opened my eyes. I squinted as the sun blinded me, and as if my body knew I was awake, a migraine formed quickly. I covered my eyes, before feeling a pair of arms wrap around my waist. My arm moved as a whiff of wood and old spice drifted through my nose. The scent of a really strong alpha…
‘Fuck, please tell me I didn’t let him mate me last night.’ I tried to get out of his hold but he was too strong, only pulling me to his chest. He nuzzled his face into my hair, and my cheeks got hot. I glanced up to see the face of a handsome stranger, and I realized that this could end up worst than I thought. The handsome stranger was no stranger at all, it was my boss. The CEO of the Churiru Jewelry company. This was bad, really, really bad.
“Can you quit moving, please? I have a headache.”
I broke out of my thoughts and looked up at him, and he was already staring at me. I felt the blush cover my face and he smirked while burying his face into my hair.
“U-Uhm, well I can’t. I have work.”
“Call in~”
“Well~ I can’t, my boss would kill me.”
“Where do you work?”
“… I also gotta visit my grandma.”
He sighed softly and finally let me go. I quickly scrambled out of my bed and wrapped myself in the blanket. I allowed him a moment to take in his surroundings so he can process everything. His eyes trailed to me, from my face down my covered body and back to my eyes.
“You look… familiar.”
“Me? Nope? I never met you in my life, besides yesterday.”
I said, which wasn’t a lie, I never met him in person. But I did know who he was and worked under him. He got up from the bed and walked slowly toward me, before tilting my head up to meet his eyes. His eyes flashed with danger in them, before he let me go and got his clothes.
“Well, if you say we never met I doubt you have a reason to lie. But you never told me where you work, so if you run late I could make sure you don’t get into trouble.”
“It’s nothing, no need to worry about it.”
I said grabbing my work clothes and heading to the shower, before turning to him, “Right, if you need a shower there is one down the hall in the spare bedroom.”
“Thank you…” He left and I sighed softly before heading to my own shower. I turned the water on and stepped in almost instantly. Letting the steam and hot water hit my body caused my body to relax, allowing me to let out a relieved sigh. The steam somehow helped me with my headache, but I knew it was only temporary relief and would need to take medicine.

Once I was done with my show I got out and stood in the mirror before going through the medicine cabinet. I downed a few pills before drinking some water and proceeded to get ready. Once I was dressed, I walked out to see my boss sitting on my bed.
“Uhm, is everything okay?”
“Yeah, do you need a ride to work or to your grandma’s?”
“No thanks, I am fine. Uh, hungry?” I asked, this was so awkward and he had no idea that he slept with his employee. A part of me had hoped he would have been gone.
“Yeah, I can help you cook.” He got up and I rushed beside him.
“Please, you are the guest. You uh, you rest. I got it, really.”
“You know, you don’t have to be so nervous around me. We did share a night together…”
“One I would really rather forget about…” I mumbled with a blush and he raised an eyebrow at me. He tilted my face to his, and pushed some of my hair behind my ear, before brushing his lips against mine.
“Won’t happen, if I can help it.”
His voice held nothing but danger and determination. A very dangerous duo. I blushed and looked away as he let my face go, and I coughed in my hand to try and calm my racing heart. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed the stuff to make a quick breakfast so I could leave out on time. I was focused on cooking as my boss walked into the kitchen and sat at the table.
“Would you like some coffee?” I ask and he nods his head. It was quiet, as I started the coffee maker. I could feel his eyes staring holes through me, which made me nervous. Did he recognize me finally? No way, I was practically invisible to the higher-ups. The only people who ever noticed me were people whom I got coffee for, or did extra paperwork for. No one else even bothered to look my way.
My hands began to shake as I got more nervous as time passed. I didn’t even realize he had gotten up from his chair before placing his hands on mine as I began to cut vegetables. It was only when he whispered in my ear, that I snapped back to reality.
“If you aren’t careful, you will cut yourself.”
“Right, sorry. Uhm, the coffee is done.” I stumbled over my words nervously. He was too close and I could hear him chuckle in my ear.
“Even after a night last night, you are still so shy. It’s cute really.”
“T-Thanks.” I tossed the vegetables into a pan and began to cook them before setting the table and adding the food that was already done to the plate. The vegetables didn’t take long so I instantly added them to the plate the moment they were done. I poured us both cups of coffee and water before sitting down. We both gave our thanks before starting to eat. It was quiet, which was perfectly fine with me.
