Chapter 1: Prologue

At the top of a tall building the shade of a man could be seen sitting at the edge, his eyes darting around watching things as they unfold before him.

Looking at a guy being attacked and torn apart by some strange creatures.

“There he goes …, he really didn’t stand a chance huh, but he seemed really tough at school making himself the boss of this and that while going around flexing his muscles like an idiot , I guess he wasn’t all that tough.”

Taking a closer look at the creatures they do seem like dogs but they are grey in color and a bit shadowy with some strange looking maws.

 Guess they weren’t lying after all those things are definitely not from earth.

I really wonder how many people have died already maybe hundreds, maybe thousands who knows, the military seem to be doing some work… I guess? but fighting something you don’t know can be a bit tricky especially when there is no communication.

It all happened very fast, the earth that I have known for 16 years has changed drastically in a couple of days what did they call it again?  “The mana disaster” or something like that.

 2 weeks ago, some scientists noticed that the earth atmosphere is becoming more thick and rich with some unknown substance and ,some people exhibiting superhuman powers which they didn’t know how to control, while others suffered from bluish veins appearing all over their bodies which is a very strong bodily reaction to this new substance like an allergy, they called it “mana poisoning “.

 as the concentration of this substance in the atmosphere increased so did the number of cases but that wasn’t all, some massive explosions begin happening leaving behind a distortion in the space that’s where these strange creatures come from.

 I guess it’s a portal to another dimension or maybe another planet, who knows really … but these were just the tip of the iceberg as the communication was cut not long after, the mana around has become so dense that the radio waves cannot pass through. What does that imply?

No news, no internet, no communication, even the channels that are still functional  have become so distorted  that you cant tell what you are watching anymore.

it’s truly fascinating…what is happening that is.

Before we used to say that the world is really wild and dangerous because you can’t tell who the good guy is from the bad guys, everyone is wearing a mask , and people do heinous crimes behind the scenes that no one hears about.

But right now, everything is a matter of life and death so people will show their hidden side even if they don’t want to.

And I am here just for that, getting to see more of that egoistic disgusting side that humans keep behind their mask, especially when they fail at the last second and their hope gets crushed its beautiful no matter how many times, I see it.

The guy who died just a bit ago was one of my classmates he even was one of my close friends at some point… well he was pretending of course and I knew from the beginning that he wasn’t truly a “friend”  and I was really naïve to think that maybe with some time we could build a strong bond with each other and be true friends , but things doesn’t work like that people might use you for eternity and when the time comes they discard you like nothing and they might even go as far as to ruin your life .

well, that’s why I was enjoying watching him die … that was a very miserable death indeed, he was torn to pieces and eaten while still alive all the while screaming “someone save me please”  

To tell you the truth I couldn’t save him even if I want to because I am still figuring this shit out as well, I need to confirm if I have a superpower or not and get things working from there.

But thinking about it, it would have been hilarious if I saved him and then tossed him again to the dogs, wouldn’t it? imagine the amount of despair …hahaha...

Anyway ,It’s time to go things will get hectic very soon …
