“You really think this is a good place?” the young man asked the old man.
“Of course, can’t you see? Don’t you feel the energy? The magic that permeates this area is amazing. Think of the possibilities!” came the answer from the old man.
“Very well, you know bes-“ the young man agreed.
“Damm right I do! Wisdom of the old I tell you,” the old man interrupted, a sigh escaping the young man’s mouth.
“All right, all right, pops. No need to get that excited,” the young man answered.
“Bah! When you get to my age it’s hard to get excited. But this… this has been my dream since I was born! Listen here, I’m going to tell you a story of when I wa-“
“No! No, you won’t! I have already listened to too many of your stories!”
“To be young and without patience… how I remember those great times, like that time I on-“
“STOP!” the young man yelled to the old man. “Just STOP! You will have many opportunities to tell your stories to our clients. You wouldn’t want to waste those stories of yours with but a person, would you?”
“Very well, very well. Relax youngling, I shall not bother you with my stories in the near future.”
“… Why do I doubt that…? But very well, I will trust you for now.” The young man replied, eying the old man suspiciously. “Say, pops, what will be the name of this tavern of yours?”
“Not ‘yours’, young one. This will be ours!... And for the name? Let’s let the customers decide, shall we? No need to bother with a name now. It will be the spirit of the tavern that will be named, and who better to be the judge of this spirit than the customers themselves? AHAHA…” the old man laughed heartily.
The young man just shook his head, looking to the small hill where they planned to build this tavern of ‘theirs’. He had no doubt this would be a focal point for all travelers passing these parts, be they, merchants, adventurers, or just passing individuals on a trip. Hells! Knowing the old man, he dared not doubt that even kings would show up for just a tale of his.

“But just how are we going to get food and drinks out here in the middle of nowhere…” he muttered while the old man continued to laugh.
The young man then looked up to the sky.
“The stars sure are shining bright today… Maybe this isn’t such a bad idea after all….”
He looked at the laughing old man.
“I just pity those who will try to take advantage of him…”
And then he started building, wooden board by wooden board, seemingly making them appear out of thin air.
It was time to start a Legend.
A Legend that would perdure against time.
