Demons didn't need morals…

…or rather, there was no way for them to ever come up with the concept of 'morality' in the first place.

It was an insight the newborn Incubus had found.

Adam was deep in thought after getting tired of running. He decided to get a cab there instead.

While leaning on the window in the back, many thoughts went by while searching deep within.

Using his Gift to find the 'Roots' of his new life.

It was an action that him slowly understand exactly what made his new body that of the 'Demon Race'.

Comparing it to his previous 'Human' self…

The knowledge he acquired was quite enlightening.

'Demons' seemed to walk the line of extremity when compared to Humans. They were all bold.

Doing whatever they pleased without fear of consequence, as it was hard for them to die.

At least, that was his own theory.

He used his razor sharp nail to cut his thumb, and watched. The wound drawn instantly regenerated.

His regeneration wasn't on the level of imperfect immortality, but it seemed to be of significant use.

With this, he no longer fear being shot anymore.

Firearms might put a bullet in him, but his body was no longer weak enough to be moved by that.

Strength flowed through him naturally as well.

But that stuff wasn't as interesting as understanding exactly what an 'Incubus' was.

A rare male of the Succubus species of Demons.

Able to use a mix of pheromones and shifting of the physiology to become enticing to the target.

Charming them until they were unable to fight.

Which would be when 'devouring' happened.

Unlike Humans, those of demonic nature didn't need to eat in order to sustain themselves.

It was more a reflex.

Like eating to enjoy oneself, rather than to survive.

A spiritual need that affected weaker and stronger Lust Demons. Only he was a unique variant.

Not everyone had 'Unshakable Tranquility'.

A mind that could grasp its own distortions.

Giving him a chance to deal with his emotions, or to indulge in them with a clear mental clarity.

"We're here." The cab driver pointed towards a certain residence. A girl was standing before it.

Clarissa had gotten here first.

Adam looked at the average man who drove him all the way here. A guy who had a prickly personality.

Not talking much throughout their long drive.

Only making himself known when it was time to pay the fair. Outstretching his hand towards him.

It made Adam realise that his earlier changes of expressions must have made the man creeped out.

'Sorry…' He inwardly apologised for many things.

"…?" The Asian cab driver was confused when the passenger grabbed him, then reeled back a bit.

Clarissa, who watched the whole scene from outside, ran towards the cab in utter disbelief.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Her voice was loud while grabbing Adam by the collar and dragging him out. The cab driver at front had collapsed. His body no longer showing any signs of life anymore.

Her eyes then shifted to the face of the Incubus.

Adam seemed completely unfazed by the atrocity he committed. The murder done in broad daylight.

"Hands off." He spoke to her coldly, and it was at that point she noticed that he'd changed a little.

Looking like Adam no longer had any love for humanity. Only seeing them as his tools for use.

The mindset of an 'other'.

He straightened out his collar while turning to the corpse of the stranger. The one he killed coldly.

Not even looking ashamed of causing such tragedy. Perhaps adapting the values of Clarissa.

He stabbed the neck of the corpse with his Toxic Blade, and the motionless body moved once more.

The Asian cab driver came back to his senses.

However, his eyes now seemed to have a pink tint to them. A magic circle was embedded on his neck.

This was the combination of two factors.

Adam used what he called the 'Evil Circle' only a demonic creature could make, and the 'Sin Circle' only a Lust Demon could create to both 'Taint' and break down the dead body. It infused a genome.

Since he was a man, the Toxic Blade added the ectoplasm of a Sila into the body of the man.

Altering his gender and physiology.

The cab driver's hair lengthened, and his features turned cute. A beautiful face in oversized clothes.

Adam looked at the youthful features of the species known as 'Ghoul Mages' in mythology.

Witches of lustful influence.

Not a Succubus type race of Arabian myths, but still related to them in terms of their abilities.

If one had to give them a 'type', Sila would be closer to Witches of western myth than Demons.

Adam knew that the only question in Clarissa's mind was why he was doing this. It was too crazy.

An extreme act without purpose…

However, the Incubus didn't feel like explaining himself. All he needed was for her to keep quiet.

After closing the door, Adam left the now physically female cab driver without doing anything more.

His goal was completed.

"We're partners. So tell me why you did that." The mercenary woman didn't let the subject die out.

Her eyes were filled with pure curiosity.

The newborn Incubus sighed, then decided to just be honest about what he was trying to achieve.

"What do you think can prepare the world for an apocalypse?" Adam asked this with purpose.

"Telling people?" (Clarissa)

"So you think people would listen to someone who talks about how the world will end." (Adam)

"…Don't say it like that." (Clarissa)

"Fine. Anyway, you know our words won't get through to anyone. We're both on our own." (Adam)

"That's why you killed someone?" (Clarissa)

"I just planted the seed needed for my future plans early on. Don't think too much about it all." (Adam)

"I'll follow your advice." Since he didn't do it out of reckless emotions, Clarissa gave him some trust.

Adam changed his face and perspective using Cosmetic Polymorph, then put up his hood.

Underneath that hood was a familiar face…

He then partially switched his perspective to that of the girl named 'Abigail Pine'. His 39th demon kin.

At least, she would be soon enough.

…..

….

..

.

"Mmm~ Mmph~~!" Abigail was having a wild time on her own. Imagining the man she loved to death.

How his fingers played with her body, and manhood thrusted deep within to make her submit.

Pushing her head down while fucking her brains out. Kinky sex that was dictated by another being.

It made her feel safe…

Compared to the time she had been constantly worrying about Clarissa's safety, now she was feeling uplifted. Maybe because of this, her sense of shame had lowered to the point of nonexistence.

'I… love you so much.' There was an intensity in that thought that she'd always found wondrous.

She looked out the window.

Those eyes she had were one of a woman waiting for her lover to return. A standard trope in media.

It was to the point she felt proud of waiting.

Since he would DEFINITELY come back to her. She believed with all her might that it was her reality.

That their love will eventually blossom into a happy ending. One where they'd all live together forever.

She, Clarissa, and Sidmund…

Abigail's heart fluttered while going into the bath to clean herself up. She at least had some rationality.

If he was to come back earlier than expected, it'd be best if she would be seen in her best clothes.

Thus, she carefully put on a nice dress for herself.

Treating herself to a meal, making sure her body proportions stayed model, and kept her elegance.

After all, it was the part about her he liked most.

From the way she talked to the way she walked, her life had always been like that. It was another day.

Just another day by herself.

Abigail missed how Clarissa had taken care of her when she came back, but controlled her feelings.

How Sidmund 'loved' her throughout the night.

'He is doing her best for Rie right now. To take care of those poor orphaned ladies…' Pity stifled her immature cravings. She wasn't such a heartless woman that lives mattered less than her libido.

Not one ounce of her heart suspected him.

It was at that point she heard a rare knocking from the door, and then felt expectant of who it was.

She hadn't ordered any parcels.

The moment she opened the door, a face she had been waiting to see for a long time was revealed.

He was smiling at her the same way he did in the past. His expression the same as when he left.

Sure, it may have looked emotionless on the outside… but she was sure inside there was love.

"Where are they hiding?" Sidmund asked her patiently. Looking like he was holding in his heart

"…They?" She didn't understand any of his words.

What was he talking about?

The moment she answered, it was as if all life had left his face. Becoming nothing more than cold.

He'd… never looked at her with such apathy before.

Did she do something wrong?

Maybe they could talk about it inside.

Abigail was about to invite him in.

Until…

*Ptch* The sound of her flesh being pierced had yet to be comprehended. Pain had yet to settle.

Her eyes widened when she looked down.

Horror hadn't awakened yet. After all, how could she believe what she was seeing was actually real?

It must be a nightmare…

Only when the blade left her body and blood spilled, did she understand what was going on.

Grief had awoken unimaginable hurt…
