Maybe I should take back 'Insightful Savant', but that would mean going back on what I did earlier.

Hmmm… Maybe I can do something using my Data Core. After all, I did share my powers with them.

Since we have a 'connection', it would be easier to narrow them down and look at them with Narration.

But what's the point of only being able to watch?

Even if I couldn't be there personally, I needed a way to alter history in a way that could benefit me.

My family needed all the help they could get.

I'm not sure how strong this 'Immortal Blood Demon Sect' was, but I'd do my best to help.

So I decided to change my perspective of things.

If my Data Core was the software to my body's hardware, then Narration could be considered the internet. After all, it DID manage to use memories to recode my phone into a superior magical item.

Maybe using the Data Core to deep dive with my Narration could let me 'connect' in a different way.

But that was only a wild guess.

Testing would be needed to see if it could work.

Regardless, I had the time and could likely manage any drawbacks or rebound from a failed technique.

Since my mind was set, there was no hesitation.

The origin of my powers hovered in front of me as a bright orb, and a vast ocean of data opened up.

I grasped onto a recorded instance in time.

Back near the edge of a dangerous forest, Xiao Yin washed the blood off her daughter in a nearby lake. 

Xiao Man had yet to wake up just yet.

However, that only made the mother more determined to protect her baby girl at any cost.

It was a pity strong emotions weren't always rewarded. She had nothing and nowhere to go.

Her end could be seen as plain as day.

If they lingered in this forest for too long, then there was a chance they could be attacked by wolves… and that wasn't specifically referring to the ones of the animal kingdom. Humans too.

It was because they were weak, beautiful women.

The appearance changing qualities of having any relation to Lust Demons made them too charming.

And ancient times lacked the concept of empathy.

Though it was true honour and pride could allow anyone to protect their family, it was all exclusive.

That love rarely extended out to other people.

Especially those who had been mistreated by society and become bitter against the world.

Similar to the elder of the Northblade Clan. 

After the distressed Xiao Yin put her daughter down near the lakeside with washed clothes, she tried to think of her next plan of action. Not being aware of how to make use of her physical changes.

It was at this point a change had occurred.

A steam of 'Divine Data' flowed into her from the Imaginary Realm. Linking directly to her physique.

"W-what…?!" She held her head. 

Panic started to settle in, but Xiao Yin managed to calm herself and accept the 'engraving' into her.

Pain started to surface.

It was only thanks to her being able to bear the initial sting… that she managed to endure the rest.

A holographic projection appeared in her eyes.

It was a blue screen hovering in thin air. Not being lifted by anything, but still statically held there.

When she tried to touch it, her hand phased through it. This lead her to have many thoughts.

'What is this thing?' Since the writing was in English, she couldn't make out what was written.

[Do you see me?]

Another message replaced the first, and the writing was changed to a language she could understand.

"I-is that you, Sir Demon?" She asked in reverence.

[Please don't call me that… My name is Adam Graham. I've connected to you using my powers.]

"Demons can do that?" This was the first time hearing of such a phenomenon in her entire life.

[Not all of them can. I'm special.]

"Indeed…" Xiao Yin believed she was right in recording the magic signature relating this thing.

There was no way any human could compare to a being that lived in the most dreadful realm of Hell.

[Anyway, I've chosen to assist you and your family for a few dozen… ummm… hundred or so years.]

"…And on what terms?" She embraced her child.

[Do whatever it takes to become stronger? I will be watching you, always. If you fail me, then all I will do is… abandon you. It'd be a waste if you die or your daughter dies, so I will assist you in any way.]

After reading this message, Xiao Yin took in a deep breath and decided to put her faith in this demon.

After all, they had nothing left anyway.

"What do you want us to do?" She expectedly awaited orders that could reverse their situation.

However…

[I said 'assist' you. Whatever you want to do personally doesn't matter. Just don't die easily.]

"That's…"

[What? Did you think Demons give blessings? I already saved your daughter. Are you discontent?]

Even though these words were only in writing, it stopped Xiao Yin from saying anything dumb.

She had no choice but to think harder.

This way of leaving her to her devices without caring for her well-being made her feel at ease.

At least, she felt calm knowing this was coming.

['Divine Data' is a separate power from 'Internal Energy'. It's usually incompatible with the latter.]

[The one point where they compliment each other is how Divine Data can transform itself easily.]

"Meaning…" (Xiao Yin)

[That's right. You can either forgo all your martial arts and transform that energy into 'Divine Data', or you can do the opposite. It will be harder for me to assist you if you don't choose to use Divine Data.]

"Then this isn't a choice was made." After talking for a while, the 'fallen' woman became brave.

She had already lost a lot in her life. If starting from scratch really helped, then she'd take this chance.

[I've received your sincerity. Let's start right away at 'reforming' you. Try to remember my power.]

Xiao Yin immediately went into a meditative posture and thought back to that moment.

Believing that this was the right decision to make.

Purging her Internal Qi into Divine Data required more than simple understanding of the power.

She needed a concrete technique.

[You need to change the perspective of your internal power. First, think of it as your life force.]

She followed the messages that could be read even when she closed her eyes and dug deep.

Her consciousness becoming firm.

The clues left behind in her body was the 'Physical Data' that had turned into a source of guidance.

Rather than forming meridian paths, she started to become enlightened in a new form of cultivation.

One that Adam Graham didn't know was possible.

[What is this change…? Are you seriously reforming your meridians into a circuits? Can this even work?]

The results spoke for itself.

Adam's silence for a while seemed to come from awe in how this woman managed to reform herself.

He expected to have to dump information to her like she was a newbie, but he his thoughts were wrong from the beginning. It was hard to tell what level Xiao Yin was originally, but she was no slouch.

From the way she was focusing on her body, it might be that she was originally a physical fighter.

Someone similar to him in certain ways.

Her dantian didn't reform, but there seemed to be new source of power she was creating in herself.

Adam sensed the difference.

If he had used his body as the hardware and power as the software, then Xiao Yin had flipped that.

Her interpretation seemed to be that SHE was her life force, rather than being an energy extension.

That's why her body became the software.

Rather than storing power in an external Data Core like him, she breathed in Divine Data through her.

Letting it flow through her veins and strengthen her body. Allowing herself to keep some aspects from before switching her energy circulation methods. It allowed her to attain more benefits of Divine Data.

Something Adam was only becoming more aware of after watching the growth of this weird woman.

Her talent was perhaps greater than her daughter.
