Merlin took the children all the way into the sky, as the excited Ron and Hermione kept shouting for him to go higher, they eventually reached 4500 meters in the sky, and the atmosphere there nearly suffocated the two silly children.

Merlin then lets them experience what it's like to 'free fall'.

They were terrified by the feeling of falling all the way from the sky, but they also felt some kind of excitement after safely arriving on the ground.

The result of this adventure was that the two children's bodies were limp and they could hardly muster the strength.

"Broomstick flying definitely feels different from flying freely."

Hermione looks at the sky with a hint of yearning and says:

"I have to learn unsupported flight in the future, broomstick flying is way too inferior."

"You haven't seen the view beyond the atmosphere."

Merlin leans against his seat and tells the two children:

"In that boundless space, there is nothing but silence, and you feel like you're one with the stars as you look up. The entire world becomes small, you broke free of the bindings of the world, and that is true freedom...you'll lose interest in the ground once you've experienced that."

"Have you seen it? Merlin."

Ron says to Merlin:

"Have you been beyond the Earth?"

"Mmm."

Merlin nods:

"Just a few months ago, we battled with a group of aliens just outside the Earth..."

"I know, I know!"

Hermione feels warmer after finishing her ginger soup, she tells Merlin:

"The <Daily Prophet> reported that a group of aliens came in conflict with the muggle civilization, the aliens tried to destroy the Earth and even dropped destructive weapons to the surface; the Ministry of Magic collected some of those weapons as they landed in Europe's open seas."

Ron also spoke:

"I heard from my dad that the Ministry of Magic held a meeting supposedly to mobilize the wizards; in the worst hour, they would appear and help the muggle civilization, even Principal Dumbledore had gone to the meeting."

"Is that so?"

Merlin was interested, he had thought that the Kree's invasion was unknown by the others, but now it seems that these seemingly isolated from the world wizards had been secretly observing the human world.

And from Ron's description, the wizards would go out of their way to try to save the world in the worst hour.

"Ron's right, Mr. Merlin."

Sparks fly out of the fireplace in front of the three, and as the fire flickered, Mr. Arthur and a slightly fat lady appear before Merlin.

The lady was wearing a dark red wool coat, she had short blonde-red hair with slightly cut bangs on the forehead. She was no longer young, but she showed great affinity when she smiled, this was a lady with great maternal radiance.

"Ah, you must be Mr. Merlin."

The lady walks over and contemplates Merlin's delicate face, she then tells Merlin:

"What a handsome young man. I'll be truly relieved if my Ron grows up to be just as handsome as you."

She extends her hand to Merlin and says with a smile:

"I'm Molly Weasley, Ron's mother."

"Hello, Madam Molly."

Merlin politely reaches out and holds Madam Molly's hand, he tells her:

"Mr. Arthur and Hermione talked a lot about you, they say you're an excellent wizard, as well as the best wife and mother in the world."

"Oh, you flatter me."

Molly was happy with Merlin's compliment, she turns around and pats on Hermione's hair, saying:

"The adorable Hermione is such a sweet talker, much better than the stupid Ron."

"Mom!"

Ron was somewhat unhappy, he shouts at his mother:

"Can you not embarrass me in front of my new friend?"

"Alright alright, kids grow up to yell at their mothers now, I'm used to it."

Molly glares at her son then turns to Merlin:

"Stay for dinner, Merlin, I'll make some stew you're sure to like."

As she finished, the housewife puts on her apron and heads into the kitchen, Hermione waves at Merlin before going to help out in the kitchen.

"Ron, will you not help your mother prepare dinner?"

Mr. Arthur takes off his coat and hangs it on the coat hanger of the slightly narrow living room, he then says so to Ron, and the latter walks to the kitchen depressingly.

It would seem that the gentle Mr. Arthur was a strong father in his family.

Only Merlin and Mr. Arthur were left in the living room, Merlin takes a sip of the water cup then looks at Arthur, he knew that this was no coincidence.

Mr. Arthur may want to converse something secret to Merlin that cannot be known by the kids.

Mr. Arthur who had little hair on his head sits on the old sofa next to Merlin, he remains quiet for a brief moment before saying:

"Merlin, there's something I need your help with."

"As long as it's within my power."

Merlin does not hesitate and says directly to Arthur:

"I'll do my best."

"I must tell you so, Merlin, this is a risky trip, you can choose not to accept it. We'll find someone else to do it."

Arthur says:

"I won't blame you."

"No."

Merlin shakes his head and says seriously:

"I'm a man who believes that gratitude must be repaid, you and Hermione helped me greatly, even saved my life; if I can help, I won't reject your request."

"Alright."

Mr. Arthur pats Merlin's shoulder and says:

"But before I tell you about it, I have to first inspect your capabilities...I have to make sure you're able to protect yourself, and not send you on a mission that's beyond your capabilities."

"Alright."

Merlin exercises his fingers and says to Arthur:

"I'd also like to see how official wizards duel, do we head outside?"

"Basement."

Merlin stands up and waves his hand at Merlin:

"This house isn't as simple as it looks, follow me."

"Pa"

In the darkness, Mr. Arthur gently flings the wand in his hand and the basement brightens up. The basement had a large space, about half the size of a soccer field; on the surrounding walls were glowing runes, meaning that it had been reinforced.

"I'll attack you in all sorts of ways, Merlin."

A golden glow intertwines the tip of Mr. Arthur's wand, he says seriously to Merlin:

"Call stop when you can't take it anymore."

Merlin who had taken off his coat and was wearing a lined suit vest and shirt unbuckled the button on his shift, he then takes out his wand Lola from the box on his waist, holds it in his hand, and a clump of crimson red glow flickers on the tip of the wand.

He takes off his frameless glasses, the ember glow in his eyes flickers as he tells Mr. Arthur:

"My combat style may be different from wizards, so I may not be able to control myself if the fight gets too fierce..."

"Haha, bring it on."

Arthur exercises his shoulder and says eagerly:

"Big talk for a 3-year self-taught wizard."

"Alright."

Merlin holds the wand, he and Mr. Arthur bow at each other, as this is the formality before wizards duel.

And as Merlin raises his head, Mr. Arthur taps his wand downwards and a green glow shoots towards Merlin.

"Stupefy!"

"Swish"

Seeing as the green glow was about to hit Merlin, the latter's figure abruptly dissipates under the lights, and as the black fog threshed, the green glow missed its target.

This scene surprises Arthur, he suddenly remembers that Merlin had a different identity aside from a wizard...

A demon walker.

He suddenly regrets suggesting to Dumbledore to let Hermione's friend Merlin protect Harry during the gathering of the Order of the Phoenix.

Dumbledore was an old-fashioned wizard who despised everything related to demons and devils.

But it was too late to regret now.

The black fog Merlin aerosolized into quickly reappears in the other direction, following a wave of his wand Lola, a spell accurately impacts on Arthur's wrist.

"Expelliarmus!"

The wand in Arthur's hand jumps and flies towards Merlin, at the same time, Merlin's black fog storms towards Arthur.

In front of Arthur, a hand appears from the black fog and reaches for his neck.

"Disapparation!"

Arthur chants so, as an official wizard, he had grasped the use of wandless casting.

As Merlin's hand approached Arthur, Arthur's figure distorts and disappears, then, he reappears 5 meters away from Merlin; he reaches out and grabs the flying wand into his hand.

 "Wingardium Leviosa!"

Arthur flicks his wrist and invisible mana spreads outward, lifting the heavy rocks in the basement into the air; as Arthur shook his wand, the heavy rocks smashed towards Merlin.

This wave of attack was full of momentum, the heavy rocks flung at Merlin may not be able to harm Merlin's black fog, but it sufficed in blocking his vision, forcing him to relocate.

"Protego!"

And during this process, Arthur stood firmly and first tapped his wand on his arm, then an invisible mana shield covers his body; he then waves his wand forward and points at the threshing black fog that was storming towards him.

"Impedimento!"

A large amount of mana that belongs to an official wizard spews out from the tip of the wand, and a firm invisible barrier blocks Merlin's path.

"Fubute Ubcabtaten!"

Merlin's arm appears from the black fog and waves his wand downwards, a crimson red force impacts on the invisible barrier, which eliminates the barrier spell.

Heated sparks begin to appear in the threshing black fog, eventually forming burning flames; clearly, Merlin was beginning to use the fire controlling ability from Morris to knock Arthur out in one hit.

But he was one step slower.

The cast speed of an official wizard is quick indeed, within the blink of an eye, on the tip of the wand which Arthur raised, a clump of flames burst out and enshroud the threshing black fog in front of him like a spewing pillar of fire.

"Incendio!"

Tempestuous flames fly towards him, nearly sealing off all the space of the basement, without a place to hide, Merlin's black fog is forced to crash into the flames.

Merlin thought that it would be burning and uncomfortable, yet on the contrary, after being enshrouded by flames, he did not feel any pain or burn.

As if this magic flame could not harm him at all.

And then, the half-demon Daimon's warning from a few months back surfaces in his mind.

"Every thread of power Trigon gives out has its own special properties, you may think that you've truly grasped Morris' power, but you have yet to truly discover the true special property of that power."

"So that's it!"

Merlin who was unharmed by the blazing flames suddenly understood what the half-demon meant...the special property blessed in Morris' shard of power was never brute strength, to begin with!

Brute strength was just the surface, the true ability Trigon gave Morris and control over all fire...a demon's most basic ability!

And then, in Arthur's surprised gaze, Merlin's black fog forms a ferocious monster head in the air, he opens his mouth and shoots out an even hotter magic flame at Arthur.

The latter blocked the attack with his mana shield, but the shield was quickly depleting.

Arthur turns his wand and once again disappears from the spot using Disapparation, yet as he reappeared from the spell, Merlin's wand casts its last spell.

"Reducto!"

"Bam"

Merlin's body is hit by the Reducto and his mana shield shatters; the following impact throws Arthur off his feet and sticks him against the wall, and the threshing black fog formed by Merlin rushes at him with burning heat.

Seeing as he was about to lose, Arthur flicks his wrist outwards and casts his last two spells as best as he could.

"Colloportus!"

"Crucio!"

Merlin's black fog is imprisoned in the air by shapeless mana, and though he broke the imprisonment with mana shock, he could not dodge the second spell.

The green glow enshrouds Merlin's fog, and then, an unbearable pain begins to burst out from every part of his body. It felt as though thousands of knives were peeling on his skin, and the pain was excruciating.

This magic!

It's odd!

Merlin's black fog threshes about in the air, but he could not ward off the excruciating mana erosion; the pain was unbearable, and even someone like Merlin who had truly gone through hell could hardly bear it.

And the magic Arthur cast wasn't recorded on the textbooks at all...

Hell!

This must be a truly offensive spell that only official wizards can use.

"Enough! Arthur, you're mad!"

As Merlin resisted the pain and prepared for a mana explosion to knock out Arthur, a soft shout resounds from the entrance of the basement.

Madam Molly pounces in while screaming, and snatches the wand from Arthur's hand.

Behind her, the two children looked in surprise at the messy Mr. Arthur and the equally messy Merlin who had just walked out of the black fog.

They did not know what had happened.

"Good fight, Merlin, that was excessive of me just now."

Arthur shrugs and says to Merlin in an apologetic tone:

"You won."

Merlin did not mind, he frowns and asked while rubbing his shoulder:

"What...exactly was that spell just now?"
