********** Taoiseach, the tribe leader’s POV **********

“I have gathered everyone today, in front of our sacred lake to explain the commotion that has happened yesterday. I know some of you have heard rumors about this matter. The world tree blessed us with a wonderful gift on the night of blue moon. I, Taoiseach, the leader of the tribe, along with our priestess Misneach oversaw the birth of our new family member who was born from the golden fruit of the world tree. Our Priestess shall perform a ceremony to call upon the Gods and grant our new family member the blessed name. Let everyone be the witness of this exchange.

I am glad that the world tree has finally granted us fruit after nearly a thousand of years. This should calm the rumors of the world tree abandoning its descendants. As I thought about this, Misneach stood on top of the wooden platform by the lake as she danced under the moonlight while gathering everyone’s sincere thoughts which helps to create the link between the mortal world and the Gods.

As if to answer our prayer, a streak of light was scene in the sky, slowly enveloping the baby floating on top of the lake, seemingly gathering all light in this place. I heard a voice saying “Lyra Daella, I welcome you to this world. You, who wield light shall protect those that you consider as your family.”

I looked at the faces of my people and most of them held a similar reaction, happiness, and gratefulness.  As I glanced over the weary Misneach, I noticed that only she had a similar reaction to me, happiness, confusion, and fear. The name granting is a sacred ceremony as it displays the power and fate the child holds. As one of the earliest branches of the world tree, this is the first time I’ve witnessed a fate which directly involves the tribe in such a profound way.

I gave a signal to Misneach to come over to the drawing room, leaving the rest of the people to celebrate Lyra’s birth.

“Misneach, have you seen anything else while doing the ceremony?”

Misneach, who is holding the sleeping Lyra whispered to me that, she felt a strong emotion of love, anger and grief as Lyra’s sacred name was being told.

“What does that mean?”

“I do not know Taoiseach, but I worry for what the future will hold. Those emotions are not something an ordinary experience can create. Hold your thoughts, for we do not want the attention of the abyss who feeds on the fear of all beings.”

“Either way, Lyra is part of our family, I shall bring her on top of the sacred tree, it should help speed up her growth and strengthen her power.”

********** Mahazael’s POV **********

“Really, Belial of all beings in this world, it has to be those forest high elves? That tribe has one of the oldest creatures of the world, they literally witnessed the birth of this world. Isn’t it dangerous for Lyra to be there?”

“Mahazael, you do know that I cannot fully control where she’ll reincarnate, however, I did pick a place where she will be safe and that there will be creatures willing to protect her. Personally speaking, I think it’s a stroke of good luck for her to end up there. Given that they are one of the most respected tribe in the world, there are even religions who considered them as Gods.  Whatever happens, she’ll always have the upper hand of being one of the sacred creatures. If someone tries to bare their fangs at her, everyone else will choose to believe Lyra, after all, their tribe is just below the dragons. In fact, even though there are greedy beings who wants to take hold of the dragons, there are no creature in this world, who will choose to be the enemy of the Forest High Elves.”

“That is true, but as old as they are, if there’s anyone in this world who can detect that something strange is happening, it is them! In fact, the naming ceremony itself was enough for them to notice!”

“Tsk tsk Mahazael, don’t be short sighted, I think that it was nothing short of legendary. Just watch, they’ll next move shall surely ensure Lyra’s power will grow in the way that we wish it to be. I was prepared to interfere if she were to land as a human, dwarf, or demons. But to my surprise, she’s in the perfect spot.

“Fine! I get it, I won’t do anything for now. Belial, how much of her memories were retained?”

“Most of it were gone, but I’d say, enough, for her to grow in the direction we envisioned her to be. She shall be the seed that contains the truth about this world.”
