[Grimer, come out!]

The space around him distorted as the Grimer walked out from it. The first thing it did though, was to rush over to give Adrian a big and tight hug.

<Master! I missed you so much. I was afraid that you forgot about me and moved on... I am so happy that you called me!>

The stench coming off from the Grimer started to burn his nose hair as Adrian tried desperately to stay away from it.

[Right right. Calm down now... and stay a bit away please. I am already in a very bad state, don't worsen it anymore.]

The Grimer's expression turned grave as it separated away from Adrian and started to check for any signs of injury.

<What happened Master? Is something troubling you?>

Adrian sighed dramatically as he breathed out heavily, creating another layer of mist around him.

[Well... nothing much, just that my body is going to freeze in a moment! Don't just stand there and look at me like an idiot. See that cave over there, go inside and check it for any danger. Be careful of it's depth. It's unknown how deep this Cave is.]

The Grimer saluted Adrian as he prepared itself.

<As Master commands!>

The Grimer happily replied and jumped into the cave without any complaints.

After a while, the Grimer slid back up and reported,

<Master, the Cave is pretty shallow and warm. There isn't much danger there, except that there are a lot of Zubat inside.>

That triggered Adrian's interest as his inner greed started to take over his senses again.

[Oh.. Zubat huh? I wonder if I could get a Golbat soon if I caught one now... Okay. Grimer, prepare a clean and safe landing place for me to jump in.]

The Grimer nodded as it jumped inside again.

<Yes, Master.>

Adrian waited in the freezing cold as his body shuddered and trembled. He was even beginning to have difficulties in moving his hands now.

After a while, a voice rang out from within the cave.

<It's done.>

Adrian became super excited immediately as he stretched his body a little.

[Good. Now, here I go!]

As soon as he jumped inside, Adrian's vision turned completely dark as he moved around while trying to use his hands to find the walls.

[Man, it's so dark in here. I cannot even see anything properly... hey System? How many Pokeballs do I have for use?]

<Currently User has access to 6 Pokeballs per session.>

Adrian grunted as he realized that it was still the same despite the system change.

[Then I must use them wisely.. Grimer, point towards the direction of the nest of the Zubats. You said that there are lots of them here, right? I might get lucky and end up catching one after all.]

The Grimer heard Adrian's command as it stared in the direction of the Zubats and tried to align Adrian's hand above it's own. It then tried to position Adrian's hand in their direction.

<Master, aim towards the direction pointed by my hand. There are a huge number over there.>

Adrian could only guess the direction and distance as he persevered with his sheer willpower.

[Alright. Let's hope that I get lucky... go!]

Adrian swiftly threw a Pokeball from his belt as he heard it hitting something.

As soon as that happened, an instant commotion rose among the Zubats as they all started to move away towards Adrian's direction.

As he felt the bites and wing slices from the angry Zubats, Adrian ducked down as he protected his head with his arms and squatted down on the ground.

[Oh shit! I didn't want to anger them! Aren't these Zubats too vengeful?!]

The Grimer too, sat down beside him as it tried to encourage it's Master.

<Master, aim again! You will hit one of them for sure. Aim above you!>

Not wanting to suffer for no reason, Adrian glared at the space above him, as his frustration resulted in a momentary courage.

[A-Alright... there!]

Adrian threw the Pokeball again, but this time, he couldn't even hit anything, as the Pokeball fell somewhere else and rolled away.

[I-It still didn't work!]

Hearing the frustration in Adrian's voice, the Grimer wanted to take action itself. Alas, it was helpless against these flying types as it could only POUND something near itself.

<Keep trying Master! You will get one for sure this time!>

Adrian's irritation skyrocketed as he felt as the Grimer was trolling him from the sidelines and enjoying the sight of Adrian failing over and over again.

[You.. sound like a casino dealer or something...]

The Grimer found the term 'casino dealer' very interesting as it approached a bit near Adrian and enquired.

<Umm? What is that? Is it something very good?>

Adrian clutched his nose as he moved some distance away as he glared at the Grimer.

[Just forget it. Hah!]

Unable to handle the embarrassment any longer, Adrian decided to try his luck once more and threw another Pokeball overhead.

Fortunately this time, lady luck smiled on him.

<Pokemon Successfully Caught.>

Adrian heard the notification as the happiness within him exploded.

[Alright! I finally got one!]

The Grimer too rejoiced it's Master success as it congratulated him heartily.

<Well done, Master! Now let's keep ourselves low on the floor. They would keep attacking us otherwise.>

Upon being reminded by the Grimer, Adrian remembered his peril and decided to lay low and bear through this event.

[Okay. I will wait for now then.]

The Pokemon and it's Master kept squatting down for a long while, until finally the timer rang aloud.

<Timer Alert! 4 Hours have passed in the User's world.>
