Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The pact

In his sanctuary Maeron was seated with Argus

"Forgive me my lord but I must ask, are you sure that it was wise to get in contact with that woman out of all people… I mean, you know as well as I do that it isn't the first time that Zeus cheated on her and yet she always ends up going back to him."

Drinking his tea Maeron and listening to his worried subordinate he said "I know how important it is for you that everything goes well, but rest assured that Hera will not be a problem she already made a binding vow in front of me."

"I see" he said a little relieved "forgive me for the disrespect my lord, that won't happen again" he said respectfully bowing his head

"That's fine, now tell me what happened to make me question my decision?!" Asked Maeron a more seriously

If someone else was here they would constate that a certain pressure was exerted on Argus, and even so he was standing still, after a moment of silence he spat coldly "she is pregnant, my wife, she is pregnant, she tried to make me think that he was mine, but I know that he isn't, mine."

"Oh!" exclaim Maeron retracting the pressure on Argus, he could feel the hurt in the voice of his subordinate even though he was trying his best to hide it "tried to see the good side of things" said Maeron

"Please don't joke around with that my lord, I can't see any good side about the situation"

"And yet there is one, that pregnancy means that in a little more than 9 months you will no longer have to pretend, and your revenge will begin, keep that in mind" he said

"You mean..." he didn't end his sentence but Maeron could see that had regained the fire in his eyes

"now!" getting up he threw a sword at Argus

"You shouldn't stay idle in time like that, come with me" he said walking past him, after a few minutes Argus began to hear the sound of clashes, he then saw an army of thousands of warriors fighting harmoniously, as a warrior himself he could see how well trained they were.

"The best of the best I personally select them around the world, they will follow you even in death, if you are able to prove to them that you deserve their loyalty, you have nine months!" said Maeron before turning back leaving Argus with his future warriors.

That has been a few days since Hera learned about the full extent of her husband's betrayal, after so much years she thought that she learned to deal with her husband's infidelity and once again she was suffering and this time more than ever, she realizes how alone and poorly surrounded she was.

Seated on her throne she calls "Serea, come"

Beautiful woman's clothes in dark appears on her side

"My goddess what can I do for you?" Ask Medea in a respectful tone

"Serea, you have been with me for many years now you are one of the few people I can fully thrust" she said at this point the expression of Serea became more serious she could tell that something wasn't right and that it was important.

"I think that my husband Zeus is once again cheating on me and that he infiltrated our subordinated to help cover for him " she said to his confidant

"huh" after a moment of silence Serea said "but Goddess we have put that system of surveillance together, if sir your husband, if he were cheating, we will have known it by now!!"

"Yes, this is why I want you to find who has betrayed me you know them and will be able to identify them and also find who he is and has been cheated on me with all this time, so that I can personally send them all to Tartarus myself!" said Hera firmly releasing a divine power so enormous that Serea was trouble breathing.

"That will be done my goddess" she said and quickly disappear to escape from there.

Looking at the spot where the woman disappear she said softly "I hope that he is mistaken about my Serea."

(Hera's flashback)

"it's you that I want."

"What?" exclaimed Hera when she heard him

"You heard me!" he replied

Getting up she dry her tears "So that's it huh, you are hoping to be the one who put me in his bed." she said coldly

Standing at her level he said "What I am hoping is to be the one who helps you regain your dignity  among gods and mortals alike, something that you lost hundreds of years ago … you have a lot of value and that's what I want, and of course I would love to be the one to put the beautiful queen of Olympus in my bed"

offering her a handshake he said "Swear to never reveal anything about today's events ever to anyone no matter the circumstances and I will give you the name of all the rats who infested your nest, all those who betrayed you and finally if one day you are interested in someone who can give you the respect, the power and the revenge that you deserve, you know where to find me, or maybe I will find you."

After a few seconds, she shook his hand looking at him straight in the eyes she proclaim "I swear on the river Styx to never reveal anything of what happens today, no matter the circumstances" then withdrew his hand as if Maeron hand was burning her she said coldly "now tell me who betray me."

(End of the flashback)
