Chapter 5: Chapter 5: You will be mine

Sleeping on a bed with his mistress, the powerful king of Olympus heard the voice of his son calling him "Father! I have an urgent message that you must hear."

"I hope it's important." he replied

"it's a form Serea…"

At the mention of that name, Zeus who was still a little sleepy opened his eyes and slowly got up snapping his fingers an opening appears on the shield hiding him from the outside world

"Come in…" he said

"swift" in an instant Hermes appears silently in front of his father with a serious look on his face

"What's the matter, what did Serea tell you?" he asked

"It's the queen Hera, she asked her to find who among her forces has betrayed her for you" he said

Hearing that Zeus's eyes got wide open

"She said that?" he asked

"Yes, she was also asked to find all the women with whom you had a relationship under their surveillance" when he heard the follow-up Zeus's face turned white

"I already asked her to use the fact that she was given that mission to investigate the way she got her info or if there was a leak among our spies" add Hermes

The already white face of Zeus turns pale at the possibility that someone sold him out.

'H-how does she know that? How much does she know? or who told her? did someone betray me?…' his loss of control didn't last long, he hold his chin in his fingers lost deep in thought for a while, thinking about the implication of what he just heard

"sigh" let out a sigh at the end of his reflection he said "If even one of our spies had talked, I would have felt it by now, it's probably my fault." he said dejectedly

"Your fault?" asked Hermes with a frown on the face

"I became too lax lately, a few days ago I felt a pair of eyes on me, I didn't pay it too much attention at the time because that was very brief, but that was probably one of Hera's men who saw me and report it to her!"

After his father's tale Hermes responded saying "at least now we know where that info come from, someone saw you, reported to her and she was able to deduce that some of her people who had to keep an eye on you betrayed her… so, what do we do? Are you gonna talk to her, Serea told me that she was furious to the point that it even scares her!"

After reflection he responded "Talking to her right now will be equivalent to telling her that Serea is one of our informants, and if Hera is as furious as she said, then we will need her to know what she is preparing to minimize our lost" he said looking toward the woman laid on the bed.

While Zeus and his son were discussing they had no idea that they were being monitored.

In his apartment Hera seated on a throne was looking in front of her the image of the event happening in real-time in the room.

She was looking at everything happening with a calm expression, only the oppressive atmosphere and the crushed furniture's floating around her could attest of her inner turmoil.

"tap" when a hand feels on her left shoulder an immense pressure appears there creating a hole at her side.

"Damn be more careful you nearly crush me to death…" said the voice of Maeron who teleported on her right

"Sigh, what are you doing here I am not in good mood right now?" she asked in an exasperated tone"

"Oh, I can see that, and it's why I am here" with a flip of the hand and bottles of alcohol appears on her desk and in front of her was a glass of the fragrant beverage " in the mood for a drink?" he asked with a smile on the face.

After an hour of drinking together where Maeron Lets Hera talk shit about her husband all she wanted he asks her "So what are you going to do now that you confirm what I told you?"

She a moment of silence after his question, and he didn't interrupt her and let her think, he knew that Hera was an impulsive and vengeful woman and that anger and alcohol were a powerful and deadly mix, she ends up saying "I don't know, all I know is that I want him to suffer for all the lies and betrayals and humiliations that I had to endure all those years because of him, I want him to pay!"

"Then join me" he responded "I already told you if you want revenge against his mistresses his bastards or him I will help you get it, more influence I will help you achieve it, more power granted respect and fear also will come as we achieve all ours goals and if you're afraid to lose your title of queen I just acquire a new domain who need governance, so interested?"

Such a proposal for someone in Hera's position was like the lifeline for a drowning man, he was like a little devil on her shoulder saying what she wanted to hear but that wasn't enough for someone as experienced as her, she calm her pounding heart and said "this offer is too good to be true, and even if I accepted, my divinity does not allow to be with…"

"… to be with someone else other than your husband, I know marriage tied you to him, luckily for you the first divinity that I had in my arsenal was called 'assimilation' and lately I assimilated part of a power who will allow me to take care of that inconvenience." He said getting so close to her that she could feel his hot breath on her face.

Putting his hand on her chest and said "Do not resist, and that will be over in an instant, but before I do it I want you to say that, if I free you from him, you.. will.. be.. mine."

And she responded looking at him straight in the eyes "if you can do what you said, if you free me, I will be yours always without complaints!"

"Perfect!!" he exclaimed with a smile as his hand sank into her chest.

"Haa…" Hera gasps as Maeron's hand was sinking more and more deeply into her chest

"Do not resist" he said when he felt that she was pushing him out

For Hera that was a terrifying situation after all even though it could free her from what she considered a youthful mistake she allowed a near-stranger to enter her inner self and touch her soul she was at his mercy and she couldn't forcefully drive him out or she would probably cause herself grave damage so all could do now was to trust him and hope that he will succeed.

"Got it!" said Maeron his hand was touching what he was looking for, a part of Hera's divinity, a part of her soul.

When he grasped it Hera's face became red, tears formed in the corner of her eyes mouth open she felt a certain satisfaction when Maeron Power began to get in her, she was aware that she was only feeling that warm because he was not ill-intended, or her situation would be very different.

After a minute of inspection after identifying what he was looking for he said "Absorb" that was a very meticulous operation it took him a while to identify all the different components intrinsically tied together to make her the goddess of Marriage absorbing what he wanted without making anything crumble he let out a long sigh he said "it's done"

"Yes" she replied "I can feel that something is missing but it's not a bad feeling, what did you take" she asked

"Fidelity, that what I took, the part who was making sure that you stay loyal to him."

'gods have a lot of restrictions' thought Maeron

"That feels so different, so free…" said Hera

While Hera was standing marveling at her new feeling of liberty Maeron got closer and kiss her without warning after a while he let her go and said "Now, I think I deserve a reward for my labor, don't you think so? let's test this freedom of yours."
