A beautiful girl is running through Ice, It turning to snow to be kicked by her feet she panting would arrive at the foot of the mountain staring in amusement she would begin to run up its icy slopes until finally reaching her destination an Icy precipice overlooking the town she would lay her bottom on the rock the ice melting away as she stared at her hometown.
Resting on her throne Cyrenaica would hear a shriek far in the distance, Staring into the direction she would debate to herself whether or not to flee or charge however as the shrieks became increasingly anguished the queen's judgement was to charge into the ambiguity.
Barreling towards the danger Cyrenaica found the origin of the shrieks, our eyes showing a lion cub of winter its fur as light as snow its eyes an azure blue in distress, its mother carved open by a rampaging mammoth.
Our eyes stared at the giant it's shout was deafening, Its tusk as sharp as a spear, and its hide so thick that only the finest blades could pierce it. Charging to the mother it would kick itself up on its feet and crush the mother's skull in with one stomp.
The beast would then turn itself towards us in a frenzy digging its hooves into the ground preparing its charge each foot the size of a man it would let out another screech before barreling towards our queen.
Cyrenaica would stand there as if frozen in time watching the beast charge towards her however even the smallest winter storm is more encompassing than the greatest mammoth, The ice beneath its feet would collapse in upon itself the mammoth foot caving In with it and snapping as if twig under its own weight.
Winter would thaw the ice beneath the mammoth then sliding into the mountainside with such force as to snap its tusk off from its face stunning the mammoth then it would rain spears of ice from the precipice above mortally wounding the mammoth.
Cyrenaica would then approach the mammoth picking up its severed tusk and impaling it in the eye.
Then we could both hear a whimper from the baby lion its leg had been shattered during the assault its eyes wider than the land of winter staring into her own resplendent eyes running towards the wounded babe she would fall upon her knees trying to nurse the young lion.
Frightened beyond console the babe would latch it's teeth into the young queen, Abruptly winter would unleash a wind so powerful that the roof of the cubs mouth would fling open violently before crashing against the icy snow.
Cyrenaica would pout at the lion in anger cursing at it before being overwhelmed with empathy, Approaching the lion she would latch her hand around its mouth closing it shut being careful not to suffocate the young babe as she looked towards the exit of the valley.
Returning home she would take the lion cub into emidius's home giving it her blanket and some precious milk attempting to nurture the precious babe back to health she would gently pet the lion digging her fingers and massaging the babe's skin.
Emidius awoken by the ruckus had come to investigate to be awe-stricken by the sight, "Is that a lion cub in your blanket next to our fireplace dear?"
Responding in distress she would say "Help me its hurt I don't want it to die too." Cyrenaica would say with contrition

"My sweet child we live in the shadow of death it is a gift to return to the snow, not a curse you've done everything you can to help that little cub.. Just like I once did, if it's as strong as you are my love it'll grow into a strong lion." Emidius would say
"Hopefully my fierce little lion will learn to stop going outside when I'm asleep and bringing home creatures that your mother has to discover whilst she's attempting to bathe... like last time with the snow hopper." Emidius would say laughing
Turning to sit down he noticed the tusk it was the size of a sword just draped across the wall as if it were a nuisance for her to obtain it.
"Cyrenaica that looks like the tusk of a mammoth... How far did you go into the mountain it clearly must have been in quite a frenzy if it broke that off what if you were there you could have been killed how could I live with myself?!" Emidius said in a fit of stress
"Don't worry father I would never do that to you or mother.. You don't have to worry about me I promise when I'm out there it's like the snow is my servant it does whatever i-"
"Cyrenaica.. we've been over this ever since you were old enough to talk you are special yes but people are afraid of special people they will think you're here to hurt them or even worse to rule them one day you can be honest with the world but that is not any day soon promise me again." Emidius would say contrition in his voice
Nodding her head with remorse "I'm sorry" before giving her father a hug.
"Oh my crimson colored love I was never angry at you I'm afraid for my little cub just like you are for that lion." Emidius would remark
"Speaking about the lion dad.. If we send him into the wild he'll die we have to keep him!" Cyrenaica would plead staring into her fathers eyes
"Are you insane?!?! That lion will grow to be the size of two grown men it would tear this village apart if we kept it in here.. It's out of the question the guardsmen would never allow it, you may nurture it to health and then release it to its fate."
Emidius would demand
"No! I saved its life I'm not about to kill it because of some stupid rules! I'll live out there with it myself if I have to!!" Cyrenaica would lament
"Your talents seem to only apply to winter my dear not fauna or animals that would eat you like this lion would if it were hungry enough i am sorry but you'll understand when you're older my love the world isn't as nice as you are." Emidius would respond
"I'll make it as nice as I am then." Cyrenaica would say
