With the heat of battle faded, her nudity became conspicuous amidst night’s silence and unmoving bodies. Her cheeks burned with embarrassment but Merille forced nonchalant into her posture. The two men had already seen most of her anyway.
Not like I can use any of these assholes’ clothes, she thought, eyeing the bloody garments on the men.
A thought to get her clothing from the storage area crossed her mind before recalling some of the men ejaculating into her boots and pile of clothes.
Putting them on might even be worse. She ground her teeth and gave up on covering herself up. They already saw everything. I might as well just get this over with so I can take a shower.
Her heart tightened at the thought of Revinne being held captive by Kurt and his bodyguards. Hours had passed and they would undoubtedly have their fun with the blonde whether she resisted or not.
Though the drug lord planned to make her pay for the damages with her body, he might change his mind once he grew tired of her defiance.
Cedrick strolled up to her with Todd close behind. “Are you alright?” he asked, glancing up and down her naked, cum-smeared body.
“You owe me one, baldy, so you’ll have to help me now.” She flashed a lopsided grin at him.
One of his brows rose. “Excuse me?”
“If I hadn’t kept them occupied and worn them out, the guards would have swarmed you before you could even reach the entrance.”
He opened his mouth to argue before it turned into a chuckle as he raised his hands in defeat.
“Where is Donna and Sarah?!” the job broker cut in. Worry thick in his voice, but it was not enough to stop him from ogling her supple flesh.
The petite merc rolled her eyes. “Up here, Todd.” She pointed to her face and he gulped once before dragging his gaze from her breasts.
“They are safe. I already freed them,” she said and his shoulders slumped. “But we have another problem. Kurt has two bodyguards with him and he’s holding a hostage. He might already be alerted after all the commotion you guys caused.”
“Fine. Fine. We didn’t plan to come here just to save the hostages anyway. Right?” Cedrick turned to look at the smaller man.
“That bastard fucking cut off Donna’s finger. I’m going to make him pay,” Todd agreed.
“Great! The bodyguards look strong so don’t let your—”
The main building’s double door flew open before Kurt stalked out, scratching his head in annoyance. “What the fuck is that noise?! Are you trying to destroy my warehouse?!” he bellowed.
Then his gaze met hers and his jaw dropped practically to the floor at the sight of the wrecked courtyard and scattered corpses. He stumbled backward, his legs visibly wobbling as he turned back into the building while yelling for help.
Merille dashed toward the retreating man but her legs would not comply. Every muscle in her body ached and each step felt as if she was running through mud.
Knowing she would never catch up with him, she planted her feet and hurled the sword. The blade flew through the air, turning from end to end at Kurt’s back. But before it made contact, a large sword came out of nowhere to deflect it.
“Kill them! Fucking kill all of them!” the drug lord screamed.
The bodyguards nodded in unison before strolling out into the courtyard. Golden-Teeth rested his heavy blade on his shoulder as he said, “that’s too bad. I was planning to make you my cock-sleeve.”
“Doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun with her before we end her,” Hawk-Nose said and spun the daggers in his palms before gripping them. “Just get rid of the big one then we can slowly enjoy ourselves with her?”
Golden-Teeth grunted in response.
“We’re dead if Kurt comes back here with the hostage!” Merille said and snatched a sword from the ground.
Cedrick drew his blade, but the wounds on his body and fatigue on his face did little to convince her that they could take care of these men quickly. “Get out of here, Todd. Find your wife and daughter and hide somewhere,” he told the job broker.
“Wh-What?! I can’t just leave you here!” the smaller man sputtered.
The towering merc let out a long exhale but did not take his eyes off the bodyguards and said, “let’s face it. You’re more of a liability here. We’re more likely to die here with you around than not. So go find your family and hide.”
Though it was harsh, he had no time to mince words. An untrained man in the middle of a battle would only become a distraction and disadvantage for the people protecting him. Against skilled opponents, such disadvantage would mean inevitable defeat.
“F-Fine! But you better not die on me, you hear?!” He turned to Merille and managed to keep his eyes directed at hers this time. “A-And you too! Come back alive!” he said before turning and lumbering away with loud cranking of armor.
“Are you ready for this?” the petite merc asked.
Cedrick threw a quick glance at her and smirked. “Not at all. But do I even have a choice?”
“What if I tell you that the person we’re trying to save is crazy hot and she…we can make it worth your while if we survive this.” Heat rose to her cheeks at the suggestion which made his eyes go wide with the implication.
“Now, I’m motivated.” The towering merc stood taller and bellowed, “come on, let’s get this over with already! I have things to do!”
Merille snickered before quickly falling into a fighting stance when the bodyguards rushed at them. Their weapons glinted menacingly in the lamp lights as they crossed the courtyard at a dangerous pace.
“I’m going to enjoy carving you up little by little, cunt,” Hawk-Nose sneered before swinging at her.
She caught his blade with her own before his second dagger slashed up at her abdomen. With pure reflex, she leaped back just a heartbeat ahead of being sliced open. He came after her instantly, not allowing her a moment’s reprieve.
Tremendous crashes of steels rang out between Cedrick and Golden-Teeth. Their massive swords smashed into one another with deadly force. Sparks flared with every exchange as the men grunted and snarled with the effort to overcome the other.
The petite merc blocked and parried one strike after another without a chance to counterattack. Hawk-Nose was fast and strong. Unlike the laborers or the bandits, his attacks did not leave an opening for her to exploit.
But as long as she did not take any critical blow, there was always a chance he would slip up. In a one-on-one fight, death came to the one who made the mistake first. If she could keep up with him and remain calm, she might have a chance.
“What’s wrong? Is that all you’ve got?” he snickered before lunging with a thrust.
She twisted out of the way barely in time and swung the sword up at his exposed neck. But her foot caught on a body and tripped. Her attack missed completely as she tumbled head over heel over the corpse and crashed on the pavement.
Hawk-Nose immediately seized the opportunity and leaped at her prone form. His dagger stabbed her thigh before she could react. Her scream of pain tore through the night. She slashed out at him in retaliation but he casually stepped back to avoid the blade.
“That’s a beautiful sound, cunt,” he chuckled, then licked the blood from his blade and smiled wickedly.
Merille scrambled to her feet, limping and shivering from immense agony. Tears welled in her eyes while she held onto a crate for support. Even her arms were trembling and had trouble keeping the sword up.
She was already on the losing end of the fight when it started. Without being able to move free, she was a mere stationery target. A practice dummy for Hawk-Nose to test the sharpness of his blades.
Good thing he didn’t hit any arteries… but that was pretty much the extent of the good news.
She doubted he would allow her time to patch up the bleeding. But he was unlikely going to kill her outright too. Just like Salus, this sadistic asshole would toy with her for as long as he could before ending her life.
If that’s the case, then I still have a chance. The thought was nowhere near comforting but it, at least, provided a sliver of hope she could hang on to.
The crashing of steel from the other side of the courtyard had slowed. Cedrick was being pushed back. He was barely able to keep up with Golden-Teeth at this point. The exhaustion clearly showed on his face and the broadsword seemed to weigh like a block of lead in his hands.
Tightness clenched her heart and her breath hitched as a powerful sideway strike threw the towering merc off balance. Golden-Teeth followed with a downward stroke that would cleave him in half if Cedrick did not twist his torso out of the way in time.
Still the attack was faster than he could react and the tip of the blade caught him, drawing a gash on his broad chest. He cried out, stumbling back, blood pouring down his body as he retreated with his weapon dragging on the ground.
“He’s going to die. But you should worry about yourself. Things I’m planning to do to you are far worse than death,” Hawk-Nose snickered.
He lunged forward, leaping over the corpse that tripped her. His dagger flashed silver as it came for her abdomen. She parried with a grunt and the move forced her weight on the injured leg. Paralyzing agony shot through her, preventing her from reacting to the follow up strike.
Excruciating pain tore across her belly as cold dread ran up her spine. She cried, collapsing into a pile of ashened crates. Warmth flowed down her skin. She clenched an arm around the wound, not daring to look down, fearing the sight of her own innards spilling out.
The image of Unkempt-Beard’s splattering intestines filled her mind, petrifying her with fear. Panic slowly subsided as she groped around and found only the gaping flesh and blood. The cut was not deep enough to disembowel her. Not this time.
“Cry for me, cunt.” Hawk-Nose licked along his blade and hummed in delight. His eyes sparkled with glee as he strolled over to her. “Tell me. Where should I slice you next? Your left leg? Your arms?”
Merille swung at him but there was no strength in her attack. He simply kicked the weapon from her grasp. The cheap steel clattered uselessly on the pavement, out of her reach.
He squatted between her legs before tracing the tip of his dagger along her left thigh. “Come on, choose. I can’t wait to hear you scream.” His words froze her skin.
His blade pressed harder against her legs, breaking her skin before droplets of red welled up. She gritted her teeth but unable to stop the shiver of pain and fear that ran through her. A mewl escaped her snarling lips as tears streamed down her cheeks.
“Yes, that’s it. Cry. Beg. Show me your fear, cunt,” he chuckled and released the pressure on his dagger. “I’m already hard, thinking about how I’ll make you scream. Maybe we should keep that fool alive so he can watch us ruin you first.”
He leaned forward, tracing the pointed end of his blade toward her pussy. “Choose or I’ll start here.” The bulge in his pants swelled as he flicked her clit with hard steel, eliciting a whimpering groan from her.
The hard metal was cold against her sensitive nub. Even through the pain and fear, a shudder rolled through her as he continued the leisure stroking. Wetness seeped between her folds and her body reacted needily to the stimulation even as she struggled to escape death.
“Please…” she begged. “Pl-Please…d-don’t hurt me…” Tears glistened down her cheeks as she meekly dragged herself away with her right arm.

“Begging now, aren’t we? That’s more like it.” He grinned wickedly.
“Please forgive me. I’m sorry for burning all this Lilac. I’ll do anything you want. Please don’t kill me,” she sobbed.
Hawk-Nose sheathed one of his daggers. He yanked her close with a fist in her hair. She cried out from the shooting pain. “Please…I’m sorry…” she whimpered.
“I don’t give a fuck about the stupid cargos or this warehouse,” he said and licked his lips. “I work for that idiot Kurt so I can have my fun with righteous cunts like you, that’s all.”
She mewled, pulling away from him but his grip tightened. He moved the dagger back to her left thigh once more and pushed the sharp end against her skin. “Now, beg me to spare you and maybe I’ll keep you around as my pet,” he said, twisting the knife into her.
“Please…” she rasped. Her violet gaze drifted up to meet his before she continued, “please…died, you asshole!”
With a hand full of ash and dirt, she bashed it into his eyes. Hawk-Nose shrieked, recoiling from her in shock and agony. His blade lifted and she used the opening to stomp her left heel into his crotch.
He let out a choked grunt before toppling over on his back. “Fucking, cunt! Fuck! I will fucking kill you!” he wailed, rolling on the ground. His left hand clutched at his groin while the palm of his weapon hand rubbed frantically over his eyes.
Merille climbed to her feet and limped forward. Her bare feet shuffled silently toward him. She picked up a sword and circled to his right, closing the distance with caution.
“Where are you, cunt?! I’ll gouge out your eyes. I’ll make you pay!” he screamed, waving his dagger left and right as he stumbled to his knees.
“Trash like you don’t deserve a quick death,” she said, lifting the sword.
He slashed out in the direction of her voice but the petite merc was waiting for it. She swung down as his blade arced toward her and severed his right arm at the elbow.
Hawk-Nose shrieked, blood squirting out into crimson streams as he collapsed to the pavement once more. “Fuck! My arm! My arm! You fucking cut my arm!” He groped at the wound as if to staunch the bleeding before screaming again.
She watched him flailing pathetically on the ground. “How does it feel to be the one screaming?” she asked and stabbed the sword into his leg.
An agonizing wail filled the courtyard, drawing the attention of both Golden-Teeth and Cedrick. The bodyguard’s face twisted with panic at the sight of his incapacitated friend while the towering merc blew out a sigh of relief.
He immediately launched into a series of offensive attacks as if seeing Hawk-Nose defeated gave him a boost of strength. The other man gasped in surprise and reeled back, stumbling and seemingly losing his momentum completely.
Primal grunts and clashes of steel rang out. Cedrick struck low then high before feigning left to swiftly spin around and slash out from the right side. His broadsword caught Golden-Teeth by surprise and cut a gash on his rib.
Merille turned back to Hawk-Nose, who had already paled several shades after losing a lot of blood. “Bitch…I’ll fu-fucking kill…you,” he murmured, his head lolling on the ground.
Without another word, she yanked the blade from his leg and plunged it into his heart. As much as she wanted to keep torturing him, waking him up from delirium with pain and making him scream more, the tormented cry made her stomach churn with disgust.
He gasped before going limp as life drained from his body.
The petite merc sighed before shuffling toward the other fight. Though Cedrick had injured his opponent and turned the battle in his favor, she would not take any chances.
Her worry, however, was unwarranted. The towering merc moved with fluid grace as if he was a different person from minutes ago. His strikes were sharp and powerful while his footwork was light and efficient.
What? Where did he learn to move like that? She blinked, watching him with mesmerizing awe.
Golden-Teeth growled in frustration as the towering merc pushed him back further and further until his back slammed into a column of crates. Sweat drenched his face and blood soaked his shirt from the wound in his side.
He forced an attack out of desperation, trying to create an opening for his counterattacks. But the panic and fear made his swing wide and clumsy. Cedrick slipped beneath his blade easily before his broadsword arched into the other man’s neck, parting his head from his shoulders.
Two heavy thuds broke the silence of the night. A pool of red spray out from the stump of his neck as his head rolled across the pavement with bulging eyes and gaping mouth.
Cedrick fell on one knee, heaving and wincing from several injuries. Merille went to him, limping as fast as she could. “Are you alright?” she asked, placing a hand on his sweaty shoulder.
“I’ve been better…” he rasped before glancing up and down her battered body. “How are you doing? We need to stop your bleeding.” He eyed the wounds on her thigh and midriff before grimacing.
“After I put the blade through Kurt’s neck,” she said.
The bald mercenary opened his mouth to protest but the drug lord stumbled out the front door of the main building before he could. One of his head clenched tight in Revinne’s hair while the other held a knife to her throat.
She was stark naked with flakes of cum smearing her taut belly. Kurt jerked her against him and her heavy breasts jerked with the violent motion. “Useless fools!” he bellowed, his gaze darting between Golden-Teeth and Hawk-Nose before meeting Merille’s.
“Let me leave or I’ll gut this whore right here and now!” He pushed the blade hard into her skin, coaxing a grunt from the blonde.
The petite merc looked at the front gate then turned back to him with a smirk. “I don’t think so,” she said, doing her best to keep her voice steady even when panic gripped her heart.
“What?!” The drug lord’s eyes bulged in surprise. “Don’t fuck with me! I’ll really kill this whore!”
“I know.” She nodded calmly. “But once she’s dead, you’re next. From the way I see it, you only have one option.” She let silence fall between them for a moment before consuming fear washed over his expression.
“Dropping the whore and running for it is your only chance of leaving this place alive.” She spun the sword in her hand as the words sank in. “I’m pretty beat up and I might now be able to chase after you.”
Kurt chewed on his lower lip for a moment before barking a laugh. “You think I’m stupid! If I leave the whore you can attack me easier.”
“Serve yourself.” She shrugged, acting nonchalant even as a lump clogged her throat.
“Just kill me with him! I don’t care as long as this bastard is dead. Do it!” the blonde bellowed before the drug lord yanked on her hair to silent her.
Just shut up, stupid! I’m doing all this so you don’t have to die! Merille gritted her teeth as her brows knitted together.
“What’s the plan?” Cedrick whispered.
“I don’t know…yet,” she said only loud enough from him to hear.
“Who the fuck are you? Why the fuck are you trying to destroy Lilac?!” Kurt asked, his voice quivering. “The distribution won’t end with me, fools! I’m nothing to them,” he continued before laughing hysterically at her baffled expression.
“You think I can produce all this Lilac on my own? You idiots! Killing me will stop nothing! Nightmire is much bigger than a couple of fools like you can take down!” he said and growled in frustration as if he had said too much.
Nightmire? She had heard that name before. Somewhere. In a distant past. In the blackness of her lost memories, someone had mentioned it. In the room where the man with burn scar tortured and trained her into his obedient pet.
“The man with a burn scar…” she murmured before looking up at Kurt. “The man with a large burn scar on his neck! Is he a part of Nightmire?!” she asked in a spur of the moment, grasping at the intangible connection.
The drug lord went quiet for a long moment. His dark eyes shifted all over her body. Not leering but rather examining her features. His mouth dropped open and his eyes bulged with realization.
“No…That’s impossible! You can’t be her,” he gasped, seemingly swaying on his feet as if in a daze. Then he chuckled, “No, it is you! Everything makes sense! Your hatred of Lilac. Your persona—Arghhh!”
Kurt jolted up with pain as Revinne bit his hand that was holding the dagger. He forcefully pulled her off by the hair and slammed her against the door frame. “You bitch!” he growled, raising the blade high.
Out of pure reflex, Merille took a step forward. Her arm swung out with the sword before letting it go midway.
The throwing motion she had practiced more times than she could count.
Light glinted off the blood stained blade as it spun through the air at blinding speed.
Kurt’s hand fell. His weapon aimed at the valley between the blonde’s breasts.
His body abruptly jerked sideways. His dark eyes grew wide with fright and his mouth fell open in a raspy gasp. The pointed end of her sword protruded from one side of his neck while its handle jutted out from the other.
He staggered, turning to look at Merille, blood bubbling from the corners of his lips. A step was all he managed before his knees folded and he collapsed at the doorway.
“Nice throw,” Cedrick sighed, tension melting from his masculine frame.
She flashed him a smirk before flopping down on the ground and splayed out on her back. “I’m so tired. Feels like I can sleep for days,” she said.
The towering man lay down beside her. “Can’t believe I’m saying this…but I’ll have to collect my debt another time.”
They looked at each other and laughed then winced at the jolting pain and their laughter turning to groans and coughs.
“Are you alright?!” Revinne cried, scrambling to the petite merc and dropped to her knees. She groped around her body before gasping at the wounds on her belly, then gasped again at the one on her thigh.
“Does it look that bad?” Merille croaked.
“Keep still! I’ll find something to stop the bleeding!”
“Don’t worry. I’m not going anywhere.” She chuckled then grimaced at the shooting pain. “By the way, I didn’t have time to tell you but we owe him a debt now.” she said then jerked her head toward Cedrick.
The blonde eyed muscular merc for a moment before a lascivious smile curled her lips. “Well, come find us when you’re all healed up and we’ll repay your kindness until you’re satisfied,” she said before sauntering away with the alluring sway of her hips.
His gaze followed Revinne until she disappeared inside the main building before turning to find Merille. “What are you going to do now?” he asked in a serious tone.
“Do you even have to ask? I’m going to find Nightmire and tear it to the ground,” she said.
He nodded solemnly before staring into the night sky.
Silence fell between them as her thoughts wandered to the man with burn scar. If he was involved in Lilac production, finding Nightmire might bring her closer to learning who she was.
