"Oh, I also have one last thing to show you," Mia says and reaches into her skirt before pulling out a black devil tail that waved freely.

"Heh," Aria smirked as Mia used illusion magic on herself.

[Time is up]

My vision distorted, and we reappeared in front of where the dungeon was.

But what we saw upon reappearing was a bit strange… There was an entire raid party ready to raid the dungeon.

"Ah, we already cleared it," Ethel says before we walk past the hundreds of cameras.

It was usually like this with S-rank gates… Paparazzi and scouts from guilds worldwide send people to watch for any rising talents or talents that are free to grasp.

"What do you mean you already cleared-"

Before the raid leader could even finish his sentence, the portal behind us closed, leaving no trace of evidence.

The surrounding paparazzi and ordinary civilians all screamed in excitement at the top of their lungs.

"Excuse me, we are from the government and need to check your credentials as we haven't seen anybody sign up to raid this dungeon yet," A man in a black suit comes up to me.

He was massive, had light brown colored skin, and brightly glowing red eyes.

"Ah, I don't have a dungeon runner license yet," I respond as I was the very first person to encounter him.

"*sigh*... You expect me to believe that?"

"No,"

The man glared at me before opening his mouth again.

"What are all your names?"

But I was typing on my phone, so I didn't hear him.

"Get off your phone," He demands, but I ignore him.

The flashing cameras began to blind me, and I guess that's why the man in front of me was wearing sunglasses.

The raiding party was mainly confused as the portal disappeared out of nowhere.

And the surrounding civilians all took photos of us.

I could already see the praiseful and demonic articles being written about us.

"Hey, how big do you want your clothing brand to be?" I ask Ethel, completely ignoring the government worker in front of me.

She immediately understood what I was trying to say, but a few more government workers restrained us before she could do anything.

"You will be coming with us. Don't worry, as you've defeated an S-rank gate, the punishment will be lighter," The man says before we are forced into a limousine and driven away.

The limousine seemed nice on the outside, but it was clearly made to hold a few criminals as it was reinforced with some kind of magic and a worker sat in between us.

"Oh yeah, we're 18 now… We can just sign up for a license, right?" I ask the massive worker, but he doesn't respond.

We arrived at the police station in only a few minutes, but it seemed like most of the paparazzi were following us, so getting out of the car with handcuffs on was a pain.

I was then pushed into an interrogation room with the remaining girls waiting outside.

Little did they know, though, we had a hivemind.

And even though we had Sophia with us, she isn't dumb enough to give away anything unnecessary.

I was first.

"Why did you enter an S-rank dungeon without permission?" The same man from before asks.

"Hey, Mr. Powerstone lie detector guy, don't warp any of the information I'm about to tell him," I say, staring towards the corner of the room.

Silence.

"Okay, good. Now, the dungeon was an A-rank dungeon, but it evolved,"

"WHAT!?" He shouts.

"Don't believe me?"

"... I don't believe you… But that still doesn't exempt you from entering a dungeon without a license,"

"Can't I just get one now?"

He stared at me for a bit before speaking once again.

"You can… And the punishment will be lifted… But that's if you actually turn out to be a strong dungeon runner. If you are B-rank and below, I believe the punishment will still have to take action,"

"That doesn't make sense,"

"I know it doesn't, but that is just to please the public,"

"Ah… I see… Well, it can't be helped," I say, and upon my confirmation, a man with a police uniform enters the room with an orb-shaped device.

He then set it down on the table in front of me, and sparks of electricity began to appear around it as if it was reacting to something.

"Oh, that's a good sign. That means you're already at least a C-rank because the reader orb is already reacting to your mana," The man says, and once he flipped a switch, he gestured for me to put my hand on it.

Though I was a bit hesitant, I gave in anyway and placed my palm atop the orb.

Even more sparks of electricity appeared, shocking the man in front of me as a small screen showed a percentage that quickly went up.

After a few more seconds, the electricity stopped, but the man was still stunned.

Oh, a low S-rank… Don't mind if I do.

"*sigh*... Well, it seems you won't have to be punished. Miss S-rank, please allow me to escort you out of the room,"

He quickly adjusted his attitude, making my eyes roll.

And once I had left the room, I heard him mutter something before he closed the door behind him.

"Yes, boss, you are correct. That is the youngest S-rank ever to be seen,"

Wait till the other girls get measured…

"W-what the hell… Twelve low S-ranks… At the meer age of 18…"  The man stutters, stunned by the results of each one of us.

He was so surprised because the youngest S-rank ever to awaken was a man at the ripe age of 21.

He was showered with praise and even rose to become one of the strongest dungeon runners in existence… but we all blew past him… well, kinda.

We were evaluated as low S-ranks while the man was evaluated as a high S-rank.

And that's the special thing about S-ranks… they have tiers.

Most S-ranks were originally A or even high B-ranks before, but due to the support of large families, they can take certain drugs that enhance their capabilities.

There isn't even any backlash because the mind and body of an S-rank are on an entirely different level.

"And of course, that man was originally a high A-rank…" I muttered.

"Give us our card now. We have classes tomorrow," Mia says as I continue to text on my phone.

"R-right, you're still in school,"

He adjusted his sunglasses before taking Sophia into the room.

And within a few minutes, she came back out, but the man looked disappointed.

It's as I thought…

"Miss Sophia here is a low B-rank, so, unfortunately, she will be unable to escape the punsihme-"

"Huh?!" Astra says, stepping up to the man and glaring at him dead in the eyes.

Is that really necessary…

I was getting second-hand embarrassment just from looking at her.

"Astra, stop," Nell says, but she ignores her sister and continues to size up the man who just stared blankly at her.

"I-It's okay. Astra, it's fine…" Sophia says.

It seems she was a bit disappointed in her results, but I thought it was pretty impressive considering she is blind.

Plus, your rank doesn't determine everything.

There are some high A-ranks that are stronger than some low S-ranks due to their mastery of their weapon.

"Sir, please excuse her from the punishment,"

"I can't do that,"

"How much do you want?"

"You can't bribe me,"

"Astra, stop," I interrupt and my glare causes her to step back.

"Tch… Fine,"
