As soon as I finished reading the panels, Sophia dropped unconscious, right onto the table in front of us.
"Sophia?"
Astra began to shake her body violently, but there was no response.
Electra even dropped her slice of pizza as she waited for her to wake up… but she didn't.
Clio immediately went to check her heartbeat, which was still average, and her pulse, which was still average as well.
"What's wrong?" Astra asks, but Clio just shrugged.
Celestine gave it a try as well but just came back with the same results.
"We should bring her to a hospital," Mia suggests, and we all immediately nodded our heads as we had no idea what was going on.
We immediately paid using the tablet given to us and left the restaurant with Astra carrying Sophia on her back.
But just as we rushed outside, Sophia lifted her head.
"Uh, why does my tongue hurt," She mutters, and once she stuck it out, we noticed it had a black tattoo of a jellyfish on it.
[Sophia has been added to your bloodkin]
[Sophia is not part of the Lineage]
[Sophia is unable to access the system]
"What the hell…" Electra mutters as soon as she saw the panels that appeared in front of us.
"Does that mean she can use the hivemind?" I muttered to myself but before we could question Sophia any longer, her head drooped once again, fainting before us.
"We should just get back to the dorms. Don't want to risk exposing our identities now," Mia suggests once again.
We all nodded, knowing it was the best option.
We rushed back to campus in the dead of night, but the city was still bustling with people, so it took us a bit longer than we had hoped for to get back.
"I'll take care of her," Astra says, but Nell quickly stops her.
"I don't trust you,"
"I swear I won't do anything… I just…"
Upon seeing Astra's distressed face, Nell lifts her hand off her shoulder and waves for her to run off.
"So… How many days until they fuċk?" Mia mutters upon seeing both of them turn the corner.
"Mia!" Nell shouts, but she just replies with a perverted smile.
"Okay, well, we have class tomorrow, so let's get some sleep. We all deserve it," Ethel groans before urging her sisters to come with her.
…
The next day quickly arrived, and like always, my first class was the Norweigan class…
I was bored as hell in the basic class, and the advanced class I had moved up to wasn't any different, so I decided to check out the new section of my status.
[Ethel Brollet (Water Stone) (Bow) (A Draconic Mermaid born from within the trenches of the Deep Sea)]
[Electra Brollet (Water Stone) (Bow) (Dragon born from within a Glacier) (Weakened Ice Drake)]
[Nuala Brollet (Water Stone) (Hand-to-Hand Combat) (Dragon Born from the Depths of the Ocean)]
[Sophia Whix (Electricity Stone) (Sword) (Human)]
It was just like with the Blood kin, but this time, I saw Sophia was part of the hivemind.
"That's unexpected," I muttered before receiving another text message from Charlotte.
She kept thanking me over and over for the large sum of money we all gave her, and she had already begun the construction of the buildings.
Each commander was apparently going to be taking care of each building on each continent, which I was a bit worried about as I knew we had some muscles heads.
But, Charlotte reassured me that most of the commanders had improved not only physically but mentally.
The muscle heads were more mȧturė, and they could run a business if they needed.
A few hours had passed, and I ran into Amanda during lunch.
We had both eaten already and both had the same idea of chilling at a gaming cafe which was something I had never seen before in New York.
Apparently, Charna was familiar with it as they had it in Korea, so I wondered why there was nothing similar to it in America.
"Or maybe there was, but it wasn't as popular or as nice," I muttered before sitting down on a chair next to Amanda.
"Watcha want to play?" She asks.
"Underwatch, I guess,"
We played for a few hours until my next class came, and as Amanda's was soon, she also got prepared.
"How the hell did you get GM so fast?" I ask as we gather our belongings.
"I don't know. The game is fun, so I just play it,"
Geez…
"Anyway, see ya,"
"See ya,"
Another few hours passed, and the day was primarily peaceful beside the eyes that stared at me from far away, making my skin crawl.
Enhanced senses were excellent in a fight, but feeling somebody looking at me was just disturbing.
And when all of Tolf gathered to have dinner, we all complained about the same thing.
"Oh yeah, somebody even asked for my autograph," Ethel says.
"Really?! I want to sign an autograph," Electra shouts, her hands supporting her chin as she sulked for a bit.
"Anyway, how are you doing?" I asked Sophia, who tapped on the tablet, ordering a light salad.
"I feel much better," She replies with such a wholesome smile that she pierces all of our hearts so hard that it felt as if we were about to burst.
And with an overwhelming amount of happiness flowing through the hivemind, it felt as if I was on drugs as euphoria flooded my mind.
"Ah, that was a bit dangerous," I muttered as soon as the ecstasy washed out of my body.
The Hivemind had definitely improved… was it a good thing? Yeah… Was it also a bad thing? Probably…
"So, did Astra lay a hand on you? You can be honest with us. We'll protect you from the beast sitting beside you," Nell says with complete seriousness.
"Tch, whatever," Astra mutters under her breath.
"N-no. She didn't do anything…" She mutters before glancing at Astra, who smiled warmly.
