Lucy looks up from her phone and scowls at her, forcing her to scan her bank code and thus pay for our meal.
"Alright, let's go to Egypt," I say as we had finished just time as our terminal had opened up and the teleporter was ready to be used.
We stepped onto the quartz floor with runes, and the turning in our stomachs proceeded, causing most people who were traveling with us to immediately run towards the puke room.
And as soon as we stepped out of the terminal with our luggage, we could feel the heat.
It was dry and hot… At least it wasn't humid and hot because that might honestly be the worst combination.
"Alright, let's explore a bit, and then we'll go find that damned relic," Clio mutters, but I had one question.
"Do you know where that 'damned relic' is?" I ask, and Clio flinches before continuing to walk down the street.
We all sighed before following her into the city.
It didn't look all that different from the other cities around the world, but there was one noticeable difference, and that was the beaming sun and clear skies.
You could even see the ripples of heat in the air, signaling to us how hot it was.
So, do we want to take over the underworld here, because I do know that it exists… but it isn't that prominent.
We could probably find more gangs than the Egyptian mafia or whatever they're called, so I guess we should start there…
"Wait, let's check into our apartment first. This heat is killing me," Nuala says, dragging Ethel away from the clothing store.
"Oh, right, how is my company coming around? Are the facilities and manufacturers done yet?"
"Oh, they've actually already finished. They're even in some stores, and I bet we could even find them here if we wanted to," I say, and Ethel's eyes practically beam with yellow lights in excitement.
"R-really?!"
"Yep,"
"LET'S GO THEN!" She shouts, dragging Nuala with her as she rushed into one of the clothing shops.
We all stood outside, waiting, and after a few minutes, she came rushing out with a few bags in her hands.
"Hehehehe… Look at this!" She shouts after showing us her designer clothes.
They looked alright… but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy them as they don't really fit my style… Maybe Nuala and Electra as they look like they would fit that style of clothing.
"Do you sell jewelry?" Electra asks after she checks the various bags, only to be disappointed by absolutely no jewelry.
"Ah, no. Sorry about that,"
"Mm, it's fine,"
Recently, Electra has cut down on the amount of jewelry she puts on, limiting herself to a few bracelets, earrings, and necklaces.
"Alright, now let's go to our apartment,"
The apartment, thankfully, wasn't too far away, so we didn't die from the heat as the air conditioning just managed to save us in time.
"HUFF HUFF HUFF…"
…
As we were taking a few days to rest, I decided to explore the city, but really, I wanted to try and find a few gangs I could absorb.
But, the security in this city was quite tight, so I found absolutely no gang… until I ran across this one alleyway.
"Oho," I muttered upon seeing a small skirmish between a few guys.
Their attire was a bit tattered, but besides that, their skills were incredibly good for a bunch of low life.
Their dagger skills practically whistled through the air like an arrow being released from its chamber on the bow.
Each large muscle flexed dynamically to input as much power into each swing while also ensuring they don't over-rotate or over-swing.
He threw a punch at me, but I stopped it with my foot, but he continued to follow through, so I used the momentum to help me spin around and hook kick him right on the side of the head.
Systema is quite a beautiful martial art, but the only downside is that it usually doesn't work against timid opponents who pull their punches way too early.
Also, it doesn't work against guys who are extremely fast or are too powerful because they'll either hit me before I can use their momentum or just utterly break my foot... or whatever body part I'm using.
But, with a bunch of thugs like these guys, I don't have to hold back.
Another guy came storming towards me, but this time I just side kicked him in the gut, and he couldn't even react as he fell to the ground in pain.
"Oof, that was your liver," I chuckled to myself before knocking down the other thugs.
They were practically about to explode from rage, but I shut them up by kicking them in the throat once.
The guy who was knocked out, on the other hand, was still unconscious, so I just left his body to lay on the hot rocky floor for a bit.
"All of you, where is your boss?" I asked, but none of them talked.
WHAM WHAM WHAM
I kicked three in the nuts, causing them to faint, but the remaining four were horrified, so they immediately started talking.
"O-Outside of the city!" One of them shouted, and it didn't seem like he was lying, so I clicked my tongue in disappointment.

Uh, I was hoping to maybe gain a few more levels… but it doesn't seem like that's happening anytime soon… I guess I'll just resort to my original plan.
"Okay, you are all my underlings now," I say, and their faces deadpanned.
"W-why should we join you!" They all shout, but I just slowly raise my fist, which practically eyed their family jewels.
"Y-yes, Ma'am!" They all shout.
"Good… Now, go bring your boss here. If he doesn't come within a few days, I'll just have to seek him out, so either way, he's getting his ȧss kicked… okay?"
