It was a fancy restaurant similar to the one I went to before. This one might be even bigger and grander since the amount of jewelry and expensive furniture was through the roof. Even the tuxedos that the waiters wore were lined with gold.
"Can we get a private room for 12?" Mia asks the nervous receptionist.
We received many stares because of all the powerful young mistresses within the group. Nobody looked at me with disrespect or disgust, they probably thought I was another young mistress.
"A-a room for 12… please follow me," The woman says, leaving the counter and bringing us to the 5th floor.
We continued to receive the same stares and glances as we walked up the building. It made my skin crawl and I could see that most of us were uncomfortable as well, while… Mia and the rest of our group were soaking up the attention.
Finally, we arrived on the 5th floor which was only private rooms. The receptionist leads us to the biggest room which was right in the middle of all the other rooms. As she opens the door, I see a few couches, the dining table, and a TV. The one thing that caught my eye was the bean bag that was near the relaxing area of the room.
I immediately walk towards it and sit down.
"A waiter or waitress should be here soon," The receptionist says, closing the door behind her.
We all decided to sit down in the relaxing part of the room which had couches, beanbags, and a fluffy carpet.
"Who wants to introduce themselves next?" Mia asks.
"Guess I'll go… My name is Chun-Hei Gaignes. My American name is Charna, so Charna Gaignes… just call me that. My power stone is related to Shadows, my family has enough money to bribe the government so it isn't a problem. I just need to avoid using it in the public eye.
I can only enter and move within the shadows so that means I can't manipulate them. I pair this with my daggers and it's a pretty good combo. I'd even say that I'm the best shadow user in New York," Charna says.
Pretty weird name… she could've picked something like Susan or Grace but she picked Charna?
It was the same girl that tried to stop me from kicking one of the members. Her black hair and black eyes seemed to peer into my soul. Her bloodlust wasn't as strong as mine but it was still impressive that she was able to learn it.
"What's your power stone rank?" Clio asks.
"B-rank…"
"Makes sense, there aren't any shadow S-rank stones and A-rank shadows stones are extremely rare so B-rank is pretty good," Mia says.
"You didn't say where you are in your line for inheritance," Astra says.
"I'm second… I would be wary of my brother who is first in line who also holds an A-rank shadow power,"
Our expressions twitch slightly at what she just said, but decided to leave it for another time since the next girl spoke up.
"Celestine Porter, I'm first in line for inheritance while Clio who forgot to say her position is second in line. My power stone is related to support as well since I have the same stone as Clio so that means I don't have to explain it," A girl a bit taller than me said.
She also had brown hair and tanned skin. Her eyes were golden and gave off a sense of nobility that I couldn't sense from Clio. Unlike her cousin, she didn't have a tattoo… well, maybe it could've been on her body, but from what I can see, there is no tattoo.
"My name is Ethel Brollet, I'm third in line for inheritance. My power stone is related to water and I can only create water. I can't control any existing water but I can create as much water as I want. It's an A-rank power stone," A girl about 6 foot in height said.
She had long light blue hair that flowed to her waist. Her pupils were light blue as well giving the appearance of a fairy. She had pale and soft skin that looked like you could just scratch it with your nail and it would bleed.
"Electra Brollet, I'm second in line for inheritance. My power stone is related to water and I can only control freshwater. It can be from the sink, water bottle, toilet, or pipes but I can't control any water with salt in it. S-rank Power stone…" A girl slightly shorter than Ethel says.
She also had long light blue hair but this time she had yellow streaks in it. Instead of it flowing to her waist, it was instead tied in a messy bun. She had the same light blue eyes and pale, soft skin, but she didn't look nearly as close to a fairy as her cousin.
"I'm the last one I think… My name is Nuala Brollet, fourth in line for inheritance and I have the same power stone as Ethel," A girl about 5'6 says.
This girl had white highlights in her already light blue hair. She had short hair that only flowed to her shoulder and she wore a lot of jewelry. Like a lot a lot. Everything ranging from earrings to rings on every single finger.
She didn't represent a fairy at all but she still looked pretty cool. I guess you could call her a cool beauty…
We continued to talk about the trip we just came back from. It only lasted for a few seconds though, before we were interrupted by a waiter knocking on our door.
"Alright. Your appetizers should be here in about 5 minutes while your main courses should be here in about 30-45 minutes. If you would like any drinks, please select from the refrigerator below your seats," the waiter says, closing the door behind him.
The girls sitting on the couch, pull the drawer below their seat and see an array of different sodas, juices, and sparkling water.
"Tsk… no booze," Astra says after clicking her tongue.
"Let's just order some alcohol," Nuala suggests.
"If grandpa or grandma see that we bought alcohol with our money then they're so going to kill us," Ethel says.
"What? Why? The age for drinking alcohol is now 15 everywhere since the times have changed. Just one beer. Please," Nuala begs Ethel.
"I don't want to deal with your shit when you're drunk. Mia let's just not get any alcohol since I don't know what these girls might do if they get drunk," Ethel says to Mia who just grabbed a cola.
"It's up to you, I don't even drink alcohol. Lucy, do you drink?" Mia asks me.
"Nah… I've never tried it and I don't even want to try it," I respond.
We continued on with our night and snacked on the appetizers. Nobody bought any alcohol since some of us were scared of the repercussions and some just didn't want any.
The main food came after about 30 minutes and we all ate while talking about the trip once more. We even discussed the strange portal that opened up near our school but couldn't come to any solid conclusions.
I didn't even realize how much fun I was having until Mia said,
