There the forest lay, like a soft green blanket, spilling over hills and pouring into valleys. From that distance it would appear like any other copse of trees. But if one were to venture closer, they would find the dark innards of that sparkling green canopy held secrets few knew. Mysteries and tales abound as to what lives under those branches.

It's said that if you stand near the edge, but not too close, you can hear the cries of those who were foolish enough to venture inside. Their pleas of forgiveness echo weakly through the trunks and back out into this world of color and light.

Otherworldly things can be seen and heard, some say. Yet others say that inside the forest is a portal to another time. Even bigger fools say a great horde of treasure awaits for any who are daring and brave enough to enter. Who can say for sure. There is no telling how many have entered that place, never to be seen again.

The Titan Forest. A seemingly endless green ocean of dark and beautiful things. That's Michael's target. It's a bloody excellent place for training his Players.

Riding through this forest, where few would daringly venture is an extremely handsome young man, riding his black war horse.

Taking in the calming atmosphere the forest provides, he smiled. Looking at the soaring trees that can block out the sun and sky, Michael's mind wondered how old these trees are. They seem too ancient for this world. Upon entering into the forest - it was like he stepped into another world or time.

Michael wasn't an Adventurer. He was a Gamer who never left his country or city. New York is already enough of an Adventure for him. Hell, he didn't even know how to ride a horse, but his new body did perfectly. His new body knew a lot of things. One of them is Swordsmanship. It was surreal when he trained with his long sword. He knew the perfect ways to kill a person and that made him pale. He shouldn't know that - but he does.

It truly hit him there. He was in another world. A world that is loosely connected to his favorite franchise. He got taken away from his family. He will probably never get to play World Of Warcraft with his little sister again. He will never see his lazy yet loving Siberian husky who loves belly rubs and ear rubs.

He will never get to watch the Giants with his Dad or eat his Mom's cooking which could put anyone else's cooking to shame...

Whipping away the tears traveling down his face, he schooled his face and emotions.

He has no time for crying. Crying won't help him. Crying won't send him back to his world.

Now that he calmed down - his mind started working.

In Michael's opinion - The Titan Forest is a good cover. From what the system said, the Players will appear in front of him.

People, especially Humans appearing out of thin air is never a good thing. He might be killed at the stake or just killed on the spot if someone from the Norman Kingdom saw him. Humans Mages can't even teleport themselves, much less one hundred people. Teleportation is a [Tzeentch] thing for now.

Even his enemies - the High Elves, Dark Elves, Greenskins, Dwarfs, Beastmen, and Lizardmen will kill him. They might think he's a Daemon of Chaos.

In the Bellum Continent, a Daemon of Chaos is a big no-no.

Daemons of Chaos are so horrifying, the whole Bellum Continent will come together and create an Alliance to exterminate the Daemons of Chaos.

' A name?' Michael's eyes darkened.

He has Minato naming skills. How is he supposed to name his Game and Company?

Michael sighed in relief.

The Gods heard his prayers. He doesn't have to name them.

' Yes.'

' Yes, that is acceptable.' He again thanked the Gods.

If it wasn't for the System helping him, he'll probably be here for a few hours trying to come up with name and absolutely fail. If Skyrim, Elder Scrolls, and Dark Souls were a person, then they would definitely be trying to kill him in the slowest way possible.

Naming stuff is his Kryptonite. That and healthy food and the R6 loading screen when he tries to get into a game. He hates all three of them.

Looking at the floating blue box that appeared before him, Michael hummed.

' Now we wait.'

Michael's eyes glowed in a way that would make people like a Beast is staring at them, causing them to sweat and shiver in fear.

You are reading story The Sacred Empire: All My Soldiers Are Players! at novel35.com

Strolling through the Internet In boredom is; Ivan Volkov. He is a rather normal person outside of VR-Gaming. However In a relatively famous VRMMORPG Game; Battle Fantasy. He is a popular solo player - number ten In the world.

As of now, he just left a fairly boring session, due to him being maxed out Player. Each person can make six characters in Battle Fantasy, with the max level being 100. Ivan already maxed all six of characters, due to liking the game when it came out. However, now he feels the game is rather boring.

His current mission is to find another game that spikes his Interest.

Scrolling down dozens of game websites, he sighed. Most games here are rather bland and dull, with the same setting and world with different names and skins.

" Well... I guess I could take a nap."

Just as he was about to click out, he suddenly stopped, seeing a Website, he had never seen before.

" Dream Gaming? Never heard of them."

Clicking on the website, he found himself staring at the sole game they have listed; The Sacred Empire(Free) - Beta Gamers Slots: 0/100.

" Free? And I'm the first one to sign up?"

Sweet. Now at least he doesn't have to waste any more money. Even though, he does have enough money to last him his whole life, due to his skills in Battle Fantasy and sponsorships.

Upon clicking the game, it took him to the Game website to make - Dream Account.

Making his Dream Account, he went to read the game description. Upon reading it, his eyebrows shot up.

"  The first global virtual reality online game, "The Sacred Empire", will start closed beta testing soon. Recruiting Beta Gamers!"

Ivan knew that most VRMMORPG Games usually have a year of Beta Gaming, to find Bugs and such. So it's not weird The Sacred Empire is doing it too. Though, he wonders about this Dream Gaming Company will reward him for being the first viewer of their website and being the first Beta Player.

" The Sacred Empire - is an open-world game that offers all kinds of new Adventures and Story! Follow the young Michael Sacredhall and build - The Sacred Empire with him!"

Reading some more, he abruptly stopped at the end of the description, which had blood spat around the page.

" What do you desire? Money and wealth? Glory? Honor and pride? Authority and power? Revenge? Or something that transcends all of them? Whatever you desire - it is in here in the The Sacred Empire!"

" Well, I ain't got nothing to do, so why not join for a few hours."

Checking the space it takes up, he smiled," Plus, it only takes up a few gigabytes(GP)."

A few gigabytes was nothing compared to his current download speed. It will only be a matter of seconds before the download
will be complete.

" Here we go again."

Ivan opened up his [ GameForce Capsule ] to see that the capsule was full of a half-solid blue gel, with a human-shape in the middle. After laying himself inside the GameForce Capsule and stabilizing the pressure, the chamber was sealed with a gentle hiss.

" (Ding), permission to access CyberLink?" A beautiful voice sounded from all around the GameForce Capsule.

" Permission granted!" Ivan started immediately.

" Connection established. Customer's personal identification information has been retrieved. May we bind your identity?"

" Go ahead!" A second later, Ivan felt a sharp and small stab in his body.

"(Ding), personal DNA sample collection is completed and matches your personal information. May we open the nutrient pipeline to support long online playing times?"

"Open it!" A moment later, the nutrient solution tube stabbed itself into his left arm. The GameForce Capsule would monitor his condition at all times, and if his body emitted signs of being hungry, it would intelligently begin to start transferring nutrients to keep him alive and well. Meaning, he game all week and be alright. The capsule also takes care of the restroom and showers for him, also.

" The nutrient solution channel has been opened. The GameForce Capsule is fully functional. Would Master like to enter the Game; The Sacred Empire -?"

" Yes!" A moment later, there was a rushing feeling, and Ivan's mind and soul left his body, involuntarily being sucked toward a colorful vortex in front of him.

In a matter of minutes, a hundred lucky people around the world curiously downloaded; -The Sacred Empire- like Ivan. Some download out of boredom. Others, simply because it looked cool. However, mostly; because the games out now are plain and dull. With most of them, being outdated. And, seeing this as their saving Grace, they all quickly downloaded the game.
