Chapter 678: Prisoner from Earth

Translator: Alsey  Editor: Chrissy

Originally, the Red Maple Planet was a gorgeous planet. There were red maple trees throughout and they covered the mountains and plains like clouds whenever autumn came. It was delightful. Yet after all the changes following the ancient wars the entire planet had become dead.

“Woo…”

A scarlet whirlwind rose up. Within it was red-colored soil as well as broken bones, which brought an aura of death.

This was the current situation upon the Red Maple Planet. Not a blade of grass grew and its vitality was completely exterminated. There were protruding rocks and black bones, while in the swamplands black mists rose up. The flavor of death hung throughout the ravines…

The land was bleak and the lakes had dried up long ago. This was a dangerous area. Once in a while puddles of the almighty’s spoiled blood permeated through the lands, corroding everything.

Chu Feng arrived and he felt uncomfortable all over as he stood on this planet. This place would break a golden arhat’s body and reduce a saint’s cultivation if one was here for a long time.

It was natural that he would feel unwell. The only thing he could rely on was the Robbery Induction breathing technique. Using the technique he dissolved the aura of death and drained away the mists of blood. As he ingested it, the red clouds in between his pores were too drain away along with the black mists. He only absorbed the useful energy.

Uncle Ming had told him to survive on this planet he had to use the Robbery Induction breathing technique!

Uncle Ming was rather suspicious that this was because Yaoyao’s father’s corpse was discarded here after his death in battle, so parts of his flesh remained on this planet.

“The flesh of someone who’d exhausted his practice of the Robbery Induction breathing technique during his life still holds the natural order and regulation of things. It changed this entire planet, so those with the same breathing technique are least affected.”

This was what Uncle Ming had said and was also his own speculation.

A group of people from the Xilin clan were permanently stationed here. They watched over the dark prison while their descendants searched for the multicolored light. They were too dependent on Robbery Induction to walk about the area.

In the past, the first volume of this breathing technique had been stolen and dispersed throughout the universe. Because of this some of the stronger races had the fortune to read and learn it.

However, nowadays there were very few amongst the universe who practiced the Robbery Induction breathing technique’s incomplete chapters as there was no follow-up. It wasn’t meaningful.

Chu Feng steadied himself and strode forth quietly as he roamed about the dead planet.

Uncle Ming hadn’t followed him. He and Lady Xi had taken the Heavenly Umbrella to use as a precaution. They used it to deceive/conceal the mystery known only to the heavens and monitor the moon in the sky so as to avoid the Xilin saints discovering them.

There were saints keeping watch from space, guarding the dark prison on the Red Maple Planet!

Chu Feng felt pain in his chest. Absent-minded, there were signs of his flesh disintegrating. This was a terrifying matter, hence his spirit began “breathing” alongside his corporeal body. The two merged together, and at last, he was settled.

“What a horrifying planet!” Chu Feng gasped.

For all these years, the Xilin clan had been purifying and reforming this planet. They wished that one day, vitality would flourish here in their back garden once more.

Otherwise, this area would be even more dangerous. If a golden body individual were to mistakenly enter here they would be eroded away. Their so-called “golden bodies” would be ruined and they would turn into a pool of pus and blood.

The aura of death and mists of blood were now pulled into the planet’s core. They were sealed within some special places as well as inside the dark prison.

Chu Feng observed many great tombs in the distant on the horizon. They were each taller than a mountain and were unusually frightening.

Buried here were the corpses of saints from ancient Earth and of almightys from various kinds, as well as the body of Yaoyao’s father.

Behind the tombs was the dark prison, which was currently the most dangerous region as well.

Chu Feng didn’t approach it. Instead he ran in the opposite direction. Back then heavenly-illuminating individuals had tossed all kinds of objects, produced by the Kunlun’s purgatory, into the cosmos. These had landed on the other side of the planet.

“This is truly bizarre,” Chu Feng revealed an odd expression.

After crashing onto this planet, the earth from the purgatory space formed an area which had now evolved into a dimensional space.

Chu Feng rushed towards the other end of the planet and came to his destination.

His surroundings were dusky as the aura of death hung in the air and bloody mists lingered. There were lots of pools of blood which hadn’t dried up even though such a long time had passed.

The hairs on Chu Feng’s body stood up as he was terrified of the spoiled blood. If one was to be infected by it, their bodies would probably be instantly wasted away until nothing was left.

Also in such a dangerous spot was a forest of peach blossoms and it was extraordinarily pretty with flowers in full bloom.

“The earth from the purgatory space!”

Chu Feng’s gaze was profound and he was apprehensive. He had heard Uncle Ming mention that the entire planet was dead with only a low level of vitality where the earth of the purgatory space was.

He disappeared with a swoosh and a flash as he darted into the peach blossom forest. He didn’t dare to stay for a long time though as some of the blossoms bore blood and released a devilish quality.

In an instant, he passed through it. The space ahead was not steady with dimensional spaces overlapping. This was due to the items produced by the purgatory space being left behind here.

Chu Feng’s body entered into the biggest dimensional space with a flash as he had heard Uncle Ming state this was where the mysterious light was most likely to pop up.

Of course, it was not fixed in place. Traces of it emerged across the dark prison, the peach blossom forest, the pools of blood as well as the spacious scarlet-colored lands.

Some of the ancient trees here were incredibly robust where it took more than a dozen people to wrap around it. However, they hadn’t turned into spirits. Each one was listless and had no leaves growing upon them.

There were also plains of grass here, but these were sparse. They lacked lusciousness and were somewhat yellow and withered, but had somewhat of a vitality.

Chu Feng had only just arrived when a fierce sword beam came flying down at a rapid speed to behead him. It was too sudden and quick, and it almost succeeded.

At the crucial moment, Chu Feng used his Lightning Fist together with the World’s End Near at Hand. He punched out with a bang. This was a rather magical fighting technique and it increased his body’s speed. It was as if it was driving Chu Feng instead. An explosion of light then smashed the sword beam.

This was a great expert. Having not achieved his goal with one shot, he turned around to leave as he shouted out to the others.

Bang!

After being launched the Lightning Fist was truly terrifying. This was a divine skill from the Yang-Realm. It was also Chu Feng’s first time using it against an enemy. Pairing it with the Robbery Induction breathing technique made its yang qi surge splendidly.

The light from his fists ripped everything obstructing him apart. The other sank downwards without calling out as all of his bones had almost blasted apart. He was doing his utmost to strike back.

However, the final outcome saw him being struck by the Lightning Fist. Furthermore, with his speed so terrifying, he took numerous strikes from Chu Feng. In the end, he couldn’t even make a single sound as he turned into a mist of blood and was completely maxed out!

An achieved evolver from the great cloudeater realm, who was also a genius from the Xilin clan, was directly beaten until deformed!

Chu Feng was very calm. After murdering him he entered into the depths of the dimensional space with a swoosh. It was vast here, and for now, there was no one in his vicinity.

Soon afterward, he caught sight of a few “youngsters” using the Robbery Induction breathing technique. Their strength was of the cloudeater realm and they came and went about the area.

“The Xilin clan are indeed unwilling to give up in their search for that brilliance.”

Through Uncle Ming, Chu Feng already knew that after one of Xilin clan’s scions had discovered the fortunes here, and they had kept it a secret. They hadn’t reported it to their superiors and had been searching for it in secret over many years.

At first, even the saints were in action. They wanted to seize it and gift it to their descendants. However, in the end, their efforts were futile.

In fact, there were many occurrences where the youngsters almost managed to obtain that mysterious multi-colored radiance. However, they were still far from saints and this made them greatly vexed and puzzled.

It was no use being so strong and mighty when they couldn’t capture the radiance.

After long-term experiments, the troops from the Xilin clan found that this brilliance was closer to the youngsters’ vitality entities. With regards to senile evolvers it was clear it looked down on them.

“Be careful. Old Wei Heng’s people are here too. How did they know there was a mysterious radiance here?”

“Their surviving members broadcasted it probably. Their clan’s divine sons were killed on Earth and Old Wei Heng’s son Wei Tiansheng too met a violent death. He wanted to nurture a supreme genius to inherit their line, and he wants his descendants to murder Chu Feng and the other remaining survivors on Earth.”

“Yes, Old Wei Heng swore that he would slice open Chang Ming’s head himself. To him, it would be a great story if the genius he cultivated could kill Chu Feng.”

Chu Feng frowned surreptitiously. Wei Heng knew of this place too and had sent his people to seize its fortunes.

“He wants to take Uncle Ming’s head?” Chu Feng sneered. Today, as he was here, he would definitely slaughter Wei Heng’s descendants if he were to encounter them.

“The fortunes here are no longer a secret. Old Wei Heng has always been someone who doesn’t give up without achieving their goals. If we were shaken, then we probably wouldn’t be able to beat them.”

“They don’t know this place as well as we do. Let’s go. Lately, I’ve been feeling that the frequency of that radiance emerging has increased. Perhaps it’s our opportunity!”

Chu Feng’s countenance fluctuated. A desire to murder was revealed in his eyes and he pulled out the reincarnation blade, ready to wipe out this entire group of people with no exceptions. Those who had rushed over in search for the radiance were all geniuses from the Xilin clan and were the most gifted individuals within their race.

“I’ll exterminate your foundation!”

But he was soon enraged and he hadn’t even started yet.

Chu Feng found that those people from before had converged with some others and were chasing away a group of raggedly-dressed prisoners. They ranged between children aged six, seven years old to elders aged seventy. There was all one would expect to find and they were all skin and bones, barely surviving.

“You good-for-nothings! After teaching you for so long you still haven’t mastered this breathing technique? The Robbery Induction is, after all, a supreme inheritance from ancient Earth, yet you’re so bad at picking it up.”

Pow!

A whip was drawn out before some of the elders quickly threw themselves onto the two children, trying to prevent them from the whipping torture. Immediately their backs were badly mutilated and dripping with blood.

“Nevermind. There are only these many descendants left from the captives seized back then from the ancient Earth. If we beat them to death then we’d have nowhere else to find people.” Someone said in a calm and collected manner.

Those at the side were rather invigorated and said, “These are the most direct descendants from the experts from ancient Earth. They’re from the same race as Yaoyao. Originally we were going to let them practice the Robbery Induction breathing technique so that they could get accustomed to the surroundings here and help us find that radiance. In the end, they’re just useless.”

“They’ve never touched upon practicing, so I’m afraid that they’re unlikely to improve in the short term.”

Yaoyao’s father’s body, which contained the natural order and regulation of things, had changed everything on this planet.

The people from the Xilin clan wanted to draw support from these people’s lineage, which was similar to that of Yaoyao’s. They let them practice the Robbery Induction breathing technique in order to get closer to that radiance.

This was because they suspected that the radiance was linked to the natural order and regulation of things left in Yaoyao’s father’s flesh. Getting close to someone of the same lineage would be easier.

Back then the Xilin clan was only a legion on Earth and had absolutely no genetic relationship with Yaoyao’s lineage.

Bang bang!

The sound of the whip rang out once more. Filth covered the faces of the captives as their bodies were dirty, their clothes worn out. Yet, they spoke not a word as they took the strikes of the whip. Bloody scars covered their bodies.

“These lowly pigs are surely odd. It’s unexpected that this planet’s aura of death isn’t corroding their bodies.” Someone said with hatred.

Chu Feng witnessed this all from a distance. His blood boiled after hearing their words and all of a sudden he understood what was happening. He was itching to demolish everyone from the Xilin clan!

Bang bang!

Another few strikes of the whip and even the children stopped crying. With scars on their bodies, the elders laid on top of them. Meanwhile, a couple middle-aged men threw themselves on top of the elders, warding off the whipping. Their flesh was already lacerated from the punishment, and there were even some whose bones were showing.

However, regardless of if it was a child, an elder, or a middle-aged man, they didn’t speak a word from start to finish. In silence they suffered.

“Miserable wrenches, you are actually quite strong-willed. Go and find that radiance for me!” The individuals from the Xilin clan shouted.

Following this, someone lifted up the whip again.

“Stop beating them. No matter what we still need to leave some surviving members so that their bloodline goes on. Our ancestors said they would be useful in the future. If by any chance we kill them all then we wouldn’t be able to explain ourselves.” Someone dissuaded coldly without sympathy. They were only keeping the elderly and the weak as they needed them alive for the time being.

“They’re just not pleasing to the eye!” Someone was still unwilling. He lifted his whip and wanted to throw out another lashing.

“You’re all courting death!” After Chu Feng was certain who it was, he raised his hackles. He was about to explode as he came crashing toward them at a great speed!
