Chapter 685: Two Lolis on The Jade Willow

Translator: Alsey  Editor: Chrissy

“Let you? What does that mean?” Xi’s beautiful ears perked up. She had heard his words quite clearly, so she asked him what he wanted to do.

Chu Feng whimpered for quite a while and finally let out a long sigh. “I wanted to discuss those essential ambitions and beautiful things in life. Let it be, she’s already gone anyway, let’s not talk about it anymore.”

Xi said disdainfully, “Keep pretending, you’ll be struck by lightning sooner or later!”

Chu Feng quivered after hearing these words. He was really terrified of getting struck by lightning. He had almost encountered a tribulation right after entering the cloudeater realm since the breakthrough back then had gone perfectly smooth.

However, he suppressed it. He didn’t dare face the tribulation because it would cause too much of a ruckus on the dead star. At that point, he would die without even knowing how. As a result, the tribulation had been dragged out until now.

Unfortunately, he was currently missing a certain component, an amethyst with powerful spiritual properties. That was because he wanted to produce large amounts of purple lightning amethyst during his tribulation. These things were necessary weapons for both residents and travelers.

This kind of killer weapon was closely related to the strength of the person undergoing the tribulation. There was no telling how powerful the products would be if Chu Feng were to produce these amethysts during his tribulation.

Chu Feng came to, and said, “Find half a days time to disappear and send me to earth, then fly the spaceship back later on.”

He was also concerned about Xi’s safety. The spaceship was her greatest safeguard. If for some reason her identity as a Yang-Realm person was leaked, she would surely die without the ship. There was no way for her to escape.

That was because all those who wanted to capture her were major powerhouses.

“You have some conscience after all.” The girl also felt that having the spaceship follow her was the only way to feel confident. It would prevent her from feeling insecure.

In truth, her biggest problem was that she was full of yang energy. Her constitution was simply too special and almost like a divine furnace.

However, Qianye had embedded nine-nether stones on her combat robes and laid down strange domains, effectively mitigating this problem.

Add to that the fact that Xi had used her on secret arts to stop her aura from leaking out, it wouldn’t be easy to find clues in the short term. The only fear was that she would have to fight with someone. At that point, her cover might be blown.

The eruption of a Yang-Realm skill in addition to her constitution would surely cause yang energy to boil up around her. Even an idiot would know what was going on.

Before long, Xi found an excuse to leave. She left saying that she was going to enter isolated cultivation for a couple of days.

The two disappeared immediately, flying the spaceship into the cosmos.

“The Spirit Race is horrible. Damn these people!”

Chu Feng was looking at the photos. Mount Eternal was drenched in blood, the corpses of numerous Kunlun demons lay strewn in front of it. The scene of the black yak being cut in half truly agitated him.

“Do a scan and see if there are any resource planets belonging to the spirit race. We need to rob them a bit!” Chu Feng spoke.

He had a knot in his heart. This time, the black yak, the Manchurian Tiger, and the other Kulun demons had taken a huge loss. Some were wounded and others were dead, the main reason being that their levels weren’t high enough. Hence, he wanted to pluck some evolutionary fruits to help them break through.

At the thought of this, he contacted Uncle Ming to ask for some information.

If he could successfully find some amethysts, that would be even better. After the tribulation, he would be able to bring back a bucketful of powerful weapons capable of inflicting uncontrollable damage on others.

Before long, Uncle Ming replied with the coordinates of a few resource stars. They weren’t just limited to the Spirit Race but also included planets belonging to the Xilin clan and Deity Race. There was also information on what those planets produced.

“Go big or go home!” Xi rubbed her palms in eagerness. She was even more proactive than Chu Feng because she had discovered a certain fruit called the Nine-Yang Fruit.

This moved her. She really wanted to… eat!

At present, be it food in boiling water or mutant fruits on the trees, everything was frigid to her. She simply couldn’t swallow them.

She wanted nothing more than to hide in the sun from dawn to dusk.

Her greatest wish at the moment was to discover a golden crow egg on one of the suns, cook it and then much on it.

Chu Feng was speechless upon hearing this. This requirement was simply too much because that was a divine bird that was almost extinct in this world.

Now that she had discovered the Six-Yang Fruit, Xi was extremely excited, believing she might have found something she could eat.

“Mm, according to records, this thing grows in the lava underground and is overflowing with yang energy. It’ll burn anyone who gets close to it but can help suitable people evolve to a very high level.”

Chu Feng checked the information he had received from Uncle Ming. The regions colonized by these cosmic races were simply too vast and their resource planets were too abundant. There were a couple of them in the solar system.

But these planets could be considered enclaves far away from the main camp and weren’t within range of their normal forces.

The duo landed on one of the planets. The place was dusky, devoid of plants and filled with dust. They even suspected whether they had come to the right place.

In the end, they saw some slaves mining ore. At the same time, they discovered a special stone mine guarded by an evolver. There was a type of fruit here that grew within the rocky caves—its surface was coarse like a stone skin.

Reportedly, it was formed from the evolution of underground spiritual materials condensing into a fruit.

Unfortunately, it could only allow people to evolve to the shackled realm and no further.

“So poor,” Chu Feng sighed. It would seem he had come here for nothing.

Chu Feng would have to grow these plants for thousands of years in order to produce high-level fruits. However, it was impossible to spend so much time nurturing them.

They rushed toward the next planet.

Before long, Xi began to tremble and shout. That was because this place was a snowy tundra. Whirling snow had engulfed the entire planet in silver and there was simply no other color to be seen.

If not for Uncle Ming giving her a sunstone which she kept in her chest pocket at all times, she might’ve frozen up here.

“Is it really that bad? I feel like taking a winter swim here.” Chu Feng was eager as he traversed a glacier and looked down at the icy river below.

Xi cried out and ran back to the spaceship. She refused to emerge for any reason.

In the end, Chu Feng found an odd type of snow lotus from one of the peaks. Every one of them possessed a glistening blue stalk akin to sapphire.

Naturally, this could only produce a change in the physical body and strengthen one’s spirit. As for the comprehension of the visualization realm, one would have to rely on oneself. Without meeting the requirements, no number of fruits would be enough to advance.

Chu Feng sighed, how come these so-called resource planets were so poor? Even these blue lotuses only numbered thirty.

Xi said, “The really rich ones will surely be guarded by powerful troops, how will they allow you to enter as you wish?!”

The next stop was a burning planet filled with volcanos. There were even lava pools on the ground. However, such an adverse environment actually wasn’t a dead planet. There were plants growing here.

For instance, there were fire vines hanging inside the volcano openings. They were entirely bright red and surging with flames.

There were also fiery mulberry trees growing in large patches. They grew by absorbing the lava and looked like a carpet of red when observed from afar.

Within the forest of fiery mulberries, someone was raising a type of valuable silkworm. The silk it spun could be refined into treasured pieces of clothing.

“There’s a golden arhat level expert overseeing this planet. It looks quite extraordinary!” Chu Feng whispered.

“Now it’s less cold.” Xi sat beside the lava river and was dangling her legs in the fiery liquid. However, she wrinkled her nose and said, “The smell of sulfur is so stinky, it’s indeed the odor of hell.

The Six-Yang Fruit is underground. It was a mutant fruit capable of bringing one to the peak of the visualization realm. The ones of the highest quality could allow one to advance to the golden body realm,” said Chu Feng.

This was a resource planet belonging to the Deity Race.

Xi looked fierce and her eyes shone with a green glow. She waved her little fists at him as she said, “I’ve finally found something I can eat after bombarding the place with the Heavenly Umbrella. If you dare stop me from eating, it’s equal to snatching food from a lion mouth or a dragon’s maw.”

They entered the ground and successfully arrived at a depth of a thousand meters. There was a sea of lava here and the earth itself was ablaze, yet there were numerous shrubs growing here. At a glance, they looked like short tea trees less than half a meter

These enchanting fruits were the size of a fist and glistening like corals and gems. The fragrance would intensify as one moved closer.

“Only a single golden arhat level character overseeing the place? No, damn, a third of the fruits have been plucked. There are only twelve left, and the high-ranking ones are likely gone.” Chu Feng was dissatisfied because any could tell that the plucked ones must’ve been magnificent.

But he quickly revealed a delighted expression because the remaining twelve fruits were intensely fragrant. With his sharp senses, he could tell that they were fruits corresponding to the cloudeater realm.

The remainder could only bring one to the peak of the visualization realm.

Delighted, Chu Feng muttered to himself, “Good, if old black and the others reach the cloudeater realm, they might be able to sell divine sons too!”

“So fragrant, I’m so hungry!” Xi was almost drooling. It was rare for her to lose her composure like so. There was nothing she could eat in the Yin-World.

With a swoosh, an old man sitting near the lava opened his eyes and shot cold beams from his eyes. The sharpness of his gaze was terrifying, there were golden rays shooting out from his body, and he was surrounded by powerful vitality.

Xi attacked ferociously and threw out the Heavenly Umbrella. With a boom, the weapon covered the old man and immediately dispersed his power.

The duo didn’t hold back at all because they had realized upon arriving here that there were natives on this planet. A race of midgets used to live here, but the Deity Race had exterminated most of them and captured the remainder as mining slaves.

Pfft!

There was no suspense at all. This expert used up all the magic power he had but couldn’t escape becoming a bloody mist.

Chu Feng’s eyelids twitched as he watched the scene because the weapon was simply too fast. If it wasn’t for the limits on earth, he really wanted to bring it into his home planet and sweep through all his enemies.

“Ptoeey, smells of sulfur! This is the scent of hell and the netherworld.” The young girl had just bitten into a six-yang fruit when she started complaining about the taste.

Chu Feng was startled because it was extremely fragrant to him. He couldn’t help but want to swallow a couple more yet he had to resist the urge because he needed to leave a couple for his brothers.

Xi had helped him greatly. So, Chu Feng couldn’t blame her despite the wastage/

“Sigh, when in Rome, do as the Romans do. I’ll just bear with the taste.” Xi ate three fragrant fruits with a frown, almost as though she were drinking poison.

In the end, she was full.

Any other person eating that much would’ve been burned to a crisp.

That was because the six-yang fruit was an accumulation of the earthen flame essence. The fire energy contained within was simply too terrifying.

Their last stop was in the Milky Way Galaxy and not too far away from earth. This was a resource planet controlled by primates and Chu Feng didn’t have much hope for it at first.

That was because he found that the truly good stuff would be located within the main camps of the major clans.

This planet was located in a remote sand sea. The sun was so fierce here that ordinary life forms would easily turn into jerky.

However, there was an oasis at the center of the oasis providing the basis of life for certain animals.

“What tree is this? It’s actually golden!” Chu Feng was astonished. He became more alert after feeling a powerful spiritual fluctuation.

“It’s a strange willow tree releasing yang energy. Not bad!” Xi became spirited after seeing satisfactory prey.

The willow tree was quite special. It was rooted within the desert far away from the desert. There weren’t any ponds nearby but it was growing pretty well on its own.

Its roots were coarse and cracked, while it’s leaves were a golden color. Yang energy surged around it and one could clearly see the difference between it and the other mutant trees.

There were eighteen fruits on the tree, all of them golden. They looked dates but were so much large, almost the size of bowls, and every fruit was suffused with yang energy.

“It’s a mutant willow tree that was once struck by lightning. It could be considered a thunderstruck wood, no wonder it’s full of yang-energy!” Chu Feng saw wherein the problem lay.

A segment of the tree trunk was glowing near its fork. Once a part of the tree, it was now devoid of leaves and already dead.

There were numerous evolvers standing guarded nearby with five at the golden arhat level. However, all of them were in isolated cultivation. From this, one could see how important this tree was.

Very soon, Chu Feng caught one of the evolvers and realized that this was a willow tree spirit that had failed during one of its tribulations. It had been beaten back into its true form and become a thunderstruck mutant tree.

Normally, such mutant fruits would fetch sky-high prices. They were full of yang-energy and would provide great benefits to evolvers.

This tree has eighteen golden fruits on it that have long since been reserved. All of them were here for the descendants of the Spirit Race, and no one other than these geniuses could enjoy them.

“Who would’ve thought we would encounter a treasured tree here!”

The eighteen fruits on the willow tree corresponded to the cloudeater realm, capable of making one evolve to this level!

Moreover, these fruits would grow into the transformation stage with the passage of time, or even the golden body stage.

Naturally, the fruits’ most valuable point lay in the fact that they were filled with rolling yang energy. Their medicinal effects were far superior to other mutant fruits of the same level.

Reportedly, after a period of time, quasi saints would come over to oversee this place. If they could dig this tree up and take it away, they definitely would. It was just that the Spirit Race was worried that their environment might not be suitable for the tree.

Chu Feng and Xi acted swiftly—they rushed up the tree like bolts of lightning and plucked the three clean in the blink of an eye.

“These fruits are really not bad. Although they’re lacking in yang energy, they don’t smell of sulfur. They’re definitely better than those reeking of yin-energy.”

“I must save a few for the future.” The little girl was all smiles.

In the end, Chu Feng couldn’t bear to eat them. He wanted to try them out but he held back his desire for his brothers’ evolution. He would think about it after returning to earth first.

“Where did you thieves come from?!” Someone shouted.

The people from the Spirit Race were furious. They never expected anyone would snatch food from the tiger’s mouth. These years have been so peaceful that they had become lax. Who would’ve thought all the fruits would be plucked clean in the blink of an eye?

With a crack, Chu Feng cut off the thunderstruck part of the tree and put it away.

With the fruits and thunderstruck wood both gone, the Willow tree gradually regained its jade green color.

“Let’s go!”

The two shot out the Heavenly Umbrella and blasted the group to death before fleeing.

In the end, the space ship arrived near earth after several spatial leaps. Chu Feng had returned!

This time, he was back with a full harvest!

“Old black, you were almost beaten to death. Brother Tiger, old donkey, Yellow Ox, all of you were wounded. I’ve brought mutant fruits for you all. Now it’ll depend on yourselves to comprehend the dao since the cloudeater realm is open to you! Later, we’ll chase the group of scoundrels and Jun Tuo eggs down! What outer realm holy sons? What fairies? Also those traitors from earth! We’ll settle the score in one go!”
