[Green Goblin: Green Goblins are small humanoid beings and part of the goblin races. They live on the outskirts of human society. As they tend to be weak individually, they prefer to gather in groups]
[Goblins naturally have twisted, evil personalities. They are known for being particularly vicious, cunning, and sadistic. They savor the joy they receive from committing atrocities against those weaker than themselves]
[Alignments: Neutral Evil]
‘Just my luck.’ Bane inwardly thought he was scanning through the goblin’s info with his appraisal skill.
‘If these creatures are considered neutral evil then what about me.’ He added with an evil grin on his face as he remembered his old days.
Meanwhile, with a crooked-toothed smile as wide as their eyes, the five goblins slowly and quietly moved through the underbrush.
They did not speak. Instead, they communicated with a simple, subtle series of hand gestures, to coordinate their movements.
They appeared to be quite intelligent and cunning. From their movement, Bane could tell that they intended to surround the carriage, leaving them with no path of escape.
‘The coachman is already dead meat, let’s hope that chatterbox doesn’t leave the carriage otherwise I won’t be able to protect her.’
The coachman was completely unaware of the ambush as he was distracted by the stench of the rotting horses ahead and the droning of the buzzing flies.
By the time he realized it, it would already be too late. If he could, Bane would have alerted him of the danger. Unfortunately, he was unable to speak yet as he was still a baby.
Furthermore, alerting him wouldn’t change anything anyway. It’s not like he could defeat five angry and vicious goblins by himself with his meager strength.
As such, Bane already classified him as dead meat. His only priority now was to keep the maid alive.
He needed a caregiver as he was still a baby and paralyzed. He needed someone trustworthy to take care of him until he became capable of doing so himself.
If it wasn’t for that, he wouldn’t give a crap about the life and death of the maid. In fact, he would have personally sent her to the afterlife long ago just to shut her up if she didn’t have her use.
“Young master, we’re almost there. I’m telling you, you gonna like this place when you grow up. It’s like a small castle”
“There’s a small garden in the back with many fruits and vegetables…………………..”
‘Does she never get tired?’ Bane inwardly thought as he continued to listen to the maid blathering with an exciting voice. At this moment, he wished he had some sort of mute skills or magic spells to shut her up.
‘Ignorance is truly a bliss. If only she knew the danger she was currently facing.’ He added.
“Mmh, something smells fishy and why does Old man Oleg suddenly stop the carriage.” Said the maid as she tilted her head out of the window to assess the situation.
However, before her voice could even fade away, the five goblins suddenly burst out of the underbrush and viciously pounced towards the carriage.
“Ghufu……..fresh human meat.” One of them said with an evil grin on his face.
“Human blood tastes the best.” Another one added while licking his lips with a greedy and famished expression on his face.
“Goblins.” The maid exclaimed in horror.
At this moment, whether it was the maid or the coachman, they both had a look of terror on their faces upon seeing the goblins.
That was even more true for the maid. She was petrified at the moment. It was like she was seeing a ghost as her body was trembling uncontrollably.
She was frightened to point of falling inside the carriage while palpitating. As an inhabitant of this world, she knew full well about the terror of the goblins as well as the fate of the women who had the misfortune of falling into their hands.
They were used as breeding slaves until their eventual deaths at the hands of their goblin captors. Just thinking about that sent shivers down her spine.
“Ahhh………”
In the next second, a miserable scream resounded accompanied by a thud sound as the coachman fell to the ground with a battle-ax lodged into his stomach while blood was spewing out of his mouth.
He didn’t even have the time to react as the level 5 goblin who seemed to be the leader threw his ax at him with incredible speed and power which landed on his stomach, killing him instantly.
These goblins weren’t some thoughtless beasts but born killers and hunters. They were very swift and extremely vicious in their action.
By killing the coachman first, they made sure that he won’t be able to run away with the carriage along with the people and goods inside.
Meanwhile, the frightened maid has already dragged her body to the corner of the carriage, away from the door with Bane in the small portable wooden cradle while looking at the goblins trying to get in by chopping the door with their ax.
‘At least you didn’t throw me at them to save yourself.’ Bane inwardly thought as he was looking at the protective action of the maid who was gasping for air as the shadow of death engulfed her.
Bang!
Bang!
With every hit on the door, the maid could feel her death getting closer and closer. She had a hopeless look on her face and was quivering in despair.
Bang!
On the fifth hit, the carriage door was suddenly busted open. Looking at the tender female inside the carriage along with the baby, the mouths of the goblins were watering with greed. It was as though they were looking at the most delicious meal.
‘I guess it’s time for me to take action.’ Bane inwardly thought with a nonchalant expression on his face as he raised his tiny right hand in the air and pointed his fingers at the goblins fighting to get inside the carriage first.

‘Acid Arrow.’ He mumbled to himself.
Swish!
From the outstretched of his finger, a greenish magic circle suddenly appeared as a translucent green arrow filled with powerful corrosive energy exploded forth, slicing through the air before piercing through one of the goblins.
In the next second, a ripe sizzling can be heard, loud and sudden like suet dropped on a red-hot griddle, accompanied by a sour stink as the arrow’s acid hastily began to dissolve the goblin’s body.
In the blink of an eye, the goblin has turned into a puddle of reddish-green liquid. Even its bones were melted by the acid arrow.

‘Holy shit.’ Even Bane was surprised by the power of the acid arrow. Though he couldn’t see clearly like a normal person, he was still able to see its devastating and cruel effect.
Not to mention the maid, even the goblins were shocked and frightened by this sudden development.
The goblins weren’t fools, as soon as they saw the fate of their comrades, they didn’t dare to stay another second there as they made a run for it.
‘Want to escape? Too late.’ There’s no way Bane was going to let them get away and get even more back up.
‘Chain Lightning.’ He shouted.
Following his intent, a jagged bolt of lightning burst forth from his fingertip and raced towards the four goblins before blasting into the slowest one.
Upon contact, it split, and three new thick streaks of lightning ricochet off to other nearby goblins that tried to escape.
Everything happened too fast like the flash of lightning or flint. Even the maid who was holding Bane couldn’t react to what happened.
She only felt that her eyes were blinded by a bursting white light and a strong ripple of energy.
When she raised her head and looked, the light had already dissipated. But, the scene in front of her stunned her.
She discovered with shock that the four goblins that were trying to escape were all laying on the ground.
Their ragged clothes were completely burnt up and their green bodies burnt black with smoke coming out of them along with a foul burning smell. They died in an extremely horrifying way.
“This… This… This…”
In an instant, the maid quickly went from feeling shocked to being aghast. Her pair of eyes opened wide while gazing at the charred corpses on the ground.
She even rubbed her eyes since she thought she was only seeing things. However, after rubbing her eyes for a while, the charred corpses of the goblins were still there, meaning that it was not only in her mind!
“This… This… how is this possible…” She still couldn’t accept what her eyes were telling her. She took a deep breath as she tried to soak in this reality.

‘Interesting, it seems like killing creatures outside the Astral Plane doesn’t give me any exp points or their skills. It only gives me unallocated stat points and astral points.’ Thought Bane with a pensive expression on his face after hearing the notification of the system.
Meanwhile, as Bane was lost in thought and trying to figure out where he should put his new unallocated stat points, the maid regained her wits as she immediately jump out of the carriage with Bane in her embrace.
Though she had many questions in her mind about what just happened as well as the freakish baby in her hands, she decided to burry them deep within her heart. Her biggest priority was to get the hell out of here before more goblins appeared.
As soon as she got out, she untied one of the horses from the carriage and climbed onto It. She appeared to be very skillful as if she has done that a hundred times before.
With a little kick on the stomach, the horse began to speed away as it passed in between the two dead horses on the street.
‘I guess she’s a little smart.’ Thought Bane after seeing her action. From what Bane could tell, their destination wasn’t too far.
During the whole trip, the talkative maid didn't say a word. It was like she was a mute. However, from time to time, she would steal a glance at Bane who had both of his eyes closed. It was unknown what she was thinking.
After three hours of traveling non-stop, they finally arrived at their destination.
