Fei Yin sighed. "If we had followed Bai Yun's instruction before, we would've definitely turned into corpses." He said.
Wu Yuan nodded, agreeing to what Fei Yin said.
"Something must definitely be happening that night in the city, so Bai Yun wanted us to reach that city at night." Cheng Sheng said. "But, when we didn't conform to his plan, he had someone let us hear what he wanted for us to hear that night." He explained.
Wu Yuan nodded, now convinced. "He must have someone keeping an eye on us." He said when he remembered Bai Yun is an ordinary person.
Cheng Sheng and Fei Yin also remembered, and they nodded in agreement to Wu Yuan's statement. "This just proves that Bai Yun definitely is influential here, even for an ordinary person." Cheng Sheng said.
"Where do we go now, Sheng?" Fei Yin asked.
Cheng Sheng thought about it. "Even though we are being led on, but we can't ignore the fact that we learned some information from this about the powerful figures in Heilong." He said. "As da shixiong said, let's go to Plum Blossom City and look at the four demonic leaders to see how powerful they are. If we'll leave now, we can still see them fight." He told them.
"Yes!" Fei Yin and Wu Yuan nodded. "Where will we find horses?" they asked.
They fell into silence. Suddenly, they heard some footsteps behind. They turned, only to see three familiar horses. They were from Bai Yun's stable.
Cheng Sheng, Fei Yin and Wu Yuan. "…" To send charcoal in snowy weather, huh?
They looked at each other, their gazes talking. Now that they found out Bai Yun's intentions, they vigilantly looked at the horses before looking around their surroundings. When they didn't see anything strange and dangerous, they felt baffled.
"… is he really Wu Ran's subordinate?" Fei Yin asked, doubtful, as they looked at the docile horses eating the grasses on the roadside.
"… I can't tell anymore." Cheng Sheng honestly answered.
Fei Yin and Wu Yuan looked at him.
"If I have to say something, then there's really one thought in my mind right now." Cheng Sheng said.
Fei Yin and Wu Yuan didn't speak and just waited for him to tell them.
"Bai Yun is really guiding us, and there is a plan." Cheng Sheng slowly said as he approached a horse and petted it. "But, the person above him has changed. It isn't Wu Ran, but – " he turned to Fei Yin and Wu Yuan. " – the Heilong Emperor." He said.
Fei Yin's and Wu Yuan's went wide, stunned. "What?!" they exclaimed in shock.
Huilong Continent, Central Region, Righteous Alliance.
"Sun Yi." Sun Rong called as he walked towards Sun Yi.
Sun Yi didn't look back and just gazed at the horizon where the sun is setting at. Then, he watched as the sun fully disappeared and the darkness spread on the land. "Brother." He called before he slowly turned. "You came." He said and smiled.
Sun Rong smiled back. "How can I not come?" he asked as he pulled Sun Yi into his arms. "Our parents… they finally came out of seclusion together with our sister." He said. "They came to Xinfaxian Sect… they wanted to see you." He told him.
"But I don't want to see them." Sun Yi said.
Sun Rong fell silent.
"Brother." Sun Yi called. "You're the only one who cares about me. You don't want me to follow in their steps, thus you gave up cultivation just to raise me. Brother… you are my parents for me." He said and hugged Sun Rong back.
Sun Rong took a deep breath and kissed the top of Sun Yi's head. "I understand." He said. "I don't want you to see them, either." He chuckled and patted the back of Sun Yi's head when he felt his chest became warm and wet because of Sun Yi's tears. "Don't worry. I won't let them hurt you again." He told him and hugged his younger brother tight. "Go." He told him as he let go of Sun Yi. "Reclaim our land from the hands of the demonic cultivators. Make Wu Yuan, as well as I, proud of you." He stared at his younger brother with tears in his eyes.
Sun Yi's tears fell and he sniffled. "Yes. I will." He answered. "I will make them pay!" he said.
The Huakai Sect disciples Tang Zhe, Tang Yun, Guo Cheng and Shan Lu who are about to call Sun Yi stopped and listened to the two brothers talking. They looked at each other, a smile on their faces, before they silently left and decided to wait for Sun Yi outside the Righteous Alliance. Not long after and they saw Sun Yi came out together with Sun Rong, Zheng Fu Gong and Pai Lie.
"Are you sure you don't need more people to go with you?" Zheng Fu Gong asked.
Sun Yi shook his head. "No." he answered. "We don't want them to die not on their home." He explained.
Zheng Fu Gong and Pai Lie sighed. "We understand." They said. Then, they took out five small pieces of familiar-looking stones.
Their eyes widened. "Cleansing Stones?!" they exclaimed. They were the Cleansing Stones that were given to them during the Intersect Competition. But, when they reached the ruins of the Feng Hua Palace, they crushed their Cleansing Stones.
Zheng Fu Gong nodded. "These are Cleansing Stones." He said. "We only give a contestant a Cleansing Stone once as a reward. You have yours, but you have crushed it." he looked at them.
They nodded.
"But – " Zheng Fu Gong said. " – what's the use of these Cleansing Stones for us?" he asked.
"Huh?" they looked at him.
Pai Lie smiled. "If the world was destroyed, what use will the Cleansing Stone be there?" he asked. "There won't be any Intersect Competitions again if the world was destroyed. So, while you are here, we will give them to you." He told them. Then, he and Sun Rong took some Cleansing Stones from Zheng Fu Gong, and together, they gave them to Sun Yi, Tang Zhe, Tang Yun, Guo Cheng and Shan Lu.
"These Cleansing Stones will be used to keep you safe." Zheng Fu Gong said. "The Cleansing Stones will protect you from the demonic qi. Use them wisely." He told them.
Their expressions turned solemn. "Yes!" they answered and cupped their fists.
Zheng Fu Gong and Pai Lie nodded, satisfied. Meanwhile, Sun Rong smiled. "Be safe." He said.
"Be safe." Zheng Fu Gong and Pai Lie said.
Sun Yi, Tang Zhe, Tang Yun, Guo Cheng and Shan Lu nodded. "Yes. We will!" they answered and hopped on their swords.
Zheng Fu Gong, Pai Lie and Sun Rong watched them leave until the five of them disappeared from their sight.
Zheng Fu Gong sighed. "Everyone is fighting." He said. "Fighting for themselves. Fighting for everyone. And fighting for our land." He took a deep breath.
Pai Lie nodded. "Yes. That's why we will also fight!" he said as he activated the array surrounding the Zhongyang. "We won't let the demonic cultivators win to abuse us, rob us and kill us!" he said.
Sun Rong nodded, then looked at the sky. "Everyone… will be safe." He said then looked at the two elders before him. "We all will win!" he said.
North, Shanliang, Shanliangde Sect.
Ho Yue looked at the sky. "Shifu?" he heard Gong Xian called from behind him. "What's wrong?" he asked.
Ho Yue lowered his head and looked at him. "It's nothing." He answered and forced a smile. "How are the elder of the sect?" he asked.
"The Xi family continues to fight. Xi Ning and Xi Shi are doing their best." Gong Xian answered. "The Sun family also appeared and are helping to kill the remaining demonic cultivators." He added.
After the Ni Lai Gates were sealed, no demonic cultivators were added on the group of demonic cultivators that were attacking them. So, they can finally breathed a sigh of relief and finish killing the demonic cultivators that were left.
"Oh. And the remaining elders are strengthening the barrier." Gong Xian said.
Ho Yue nodded and took a deep breath. "Xi Ming and Xi Xing left… let's hope they'll be safe." He said.
"They will." Gong Xian said, filled with conviction.
Ho Yue smiled. "Then, let's go and help the others. Or they'll think we're slacking off in our job…" he said.
"I'll defend shifu and say I'm the one slacking off." Gong Xian said, his face serious.
Ho Yue heartily laughed. "I didn't teach you just to lie and carry the blame for your shifu!" he told him and knocked Gong Xian's head. But, there's a sweet smile on his face.
Gong Xian's brows knitted, but he didn't complain. He just rubbed his head. They continued to descend the long flight of the stone steps, leading them down the mountain.
