‘’Who the hell is that?’’

Perseus whispered to himself. As soon as he said that, the person look at his direction. Perseus quickly moved his head and stayed there as his heart started beating really quickly. Luckily, the person didn’t notice him. He didn’t know who he was, nor did he know why did the king know him or who he was. So he continued to spy on them to gather as much information as possible. Since the pillar wasn't wide enough and because of his bulky physique, Perseus had to position himself in a way that would allow him to not be spotted. As he is doing that, he glanced in the position of the king and the person, and he was met with a cold gaze from the mysterious guy. He moved his head back, cold sweat started dripping down his spine, and his heart started beating like he ran around the whole planet.

     The mysterious guy kept looking at his direction and just smirked. He was fixated on the spot and lost himself in his thoughts.

'’ Hey. Hey!'' the king raised his voice a little since he realized that he was lost in thought.

'' What are you doing?"

'' Oh, nothing really, I was just admiring your throne room. So, how is the search for the planets going?'' he asked with a pleasant smile on his face.

'' Well, it is alright. I found one for now, but I am constantly searching through the universe.''

'' Only one?'' the smile disappeared, and the eyes were filled with nothing but bloodlust.'' After all this time, you only managed to find me one single planet that I can consume?''

'' You specifically said to find you planets, both habitable and inhabitable, that have enough energy for you. All the planets that I have found are already consumed. I am trying to find them as good as I can. Also, why don't you start consuming starts? They have enough energy to satisfy your needs, right?''

'' There is no fun in that. I see the planets as the main meal, since they have life on them, either intelligent or unintelligent. The stars are more of like a dessert for me, which I like to enjoy last.'' the person chuckled.'' I will be going for now, and next time I come by, make sure you do not disappoint me. I am not letting you power my power for nothing.'' he said as he disappeared.

   The king released a sigh of relief as soon as he was gone. He was furious at him for making him feel weak, and he didn't  like that he was being used by him, but he had no choice since he is using his power. As he was looking for different planets for the mysterious guy, he heard a knock on the door. Perseus was scared since he didn't know who that might be at the door. He started to breathe heavily and just closed his eyes.

'' Come in.'' said Runedath.

''Hello, my king.'' it was Arollan. When he saw him, he also released a sigh of relief and kept quiet. Arollan made eye contact with Perseus and both of them nodded. He was sent by Chronos to check on Perseus because he was taking a long time. Arollan made up a story when he entered the throne room.

'' What do you want, Arollan.'' said the king.

'' Well, I came to inform you that there has been a fight between your soldiers. They started arguing about who is stronger between them. What should I do?'' asked Arollan.

'' Tell them to stop acting like spoiled children before I personally come down there to stop them. Do you understand? If that is all, get out of my sight, i am not in the mood to see your face.''

'' As you wish.'' Arollan raised his hand beside him and lowered to bow. As the hand was coming down, he cloaked Perseus with magic so that Runedath wouldn't be able to see him. When they existed out of the throne room, Arollan removed the magic from Perseus.

'' Who would have thought that Arollan would help me get out. I am gratefull.'' said Perseus.

'' Oh, please don't bore me with your gratitude. Chronos was the one that sent me to check up on you. You were gone for some time. So what did you find out?''

'' I will tell you everything when we meet up with my brothers. I cannot tell you anything until we leave this place. All I can say is that something bad is going on.''

'' What do you mean?''

'' As I said, I will tell you everything.''

When they left the throne room and the palace, Perseus and Arollan met up with Chronos, Anastasius and Orpheus. They waited behind the palace in a place that they only know. It is sort of like a secret place where they meet up.

'' Hey, where were you? We were started to get worried.'' said Anastasius.

'' I was in the palace spying on the kind, as Chronos said.''

'' I know, I know, but why did you take so long? Did something happen?''

'' Yeah. As I hid behind the pillar, I heard the king mumbling about something. He was saying, not this one, not that. And then some mysterious guy appeared. I pulled my head back and when I peeked around the pillar again, I met the person's gaze. I immediately pulled back and felt cold sweat running down my spine. Furthermore, I knew that he saw me, but for some reason he didn't anything.''

'' Do you know who that was?'' asked Orpheus.

'' Not a clue. He asked our king how many planets has he found, which I thought was weird at first.''

'' Why would he ask about that and what does he need them for anyway.''

'' He said it was for consumption. The king searches planets that are habitable or inhabitable that have a lot of energy. He also consumes, as he says, planets that have life, and it doesn't matter if it is intelligent or unintelligent life as long as that specific planet has a lot of energy.''

'' What did the king say?'' asked Chronos.

'' He said that he only found one for now, which made the mysterious guy angry. The king asked him why he doesn't consume stars, since they have the one of the highest energy reserves in the universe, and he replied that it is not fun and that he sees stars as dessert. Weird guy.''

'' See, Chronos. I told you that the king was hiding something. All this time I was right, and you still questioned me. Imagine the amount of innocent souls that we killed just because that bastard said it. We need to do something about this.''

'' I know, but I do not know what.'' said Chronos.

After a while, Runedath said that every single soldier gathers near his palace because he has an announcement to make. Arollan, being his pet, was next to him of course and the rest were waiting for what he has to say. Out of the four brothers, only Anastasius was a little late since he didn't want to come to this announcement, but Chronos convinced him otherwise. When the king appeared, everyone started applauding and shouting his name. He was pleased to see that, and Arollan commented.

'' They adore you, my king.''

'' I can see that, I have eyes you know.'' said Runedath as he was waving at the masses.'' Well, foremost, I must say thank you to everyone that has gathered here today. I also thank the brothers and sisters that have fallen in previous battles for their loyalty towards me. Today, the Ethereal Council has sent me another quest that I, I am sorry, we must fulfil. We must go and clean the universe of another threat that has appeared. By the words of the Council, that race is capable of enormous destruction. They said that only we can destroy that threat and that they believe in us. I, Runedath, the king of the mightiest race in the universe, shall guide us to victory once more.''               Everyone started shouting and cheering his name. Only the four brothers were quiet. Anastasius was looking furiously at the king, and Chronos told him to relax so that they didn't appear suspicious. The king glanced over at them a looked at them for a moment. The brothers smiled and started cheering, as well as the other soldiers.

'' Also, I would like to thank the four brothers known as Chronos, Orpheus, Anastasius and Perseus. Their unmatched battle prowess and abilities made us victorious a numerous amount of times, it is thanks to them that we had so few casualties in the last battle. Remember their names, everyone, and thank you again.'' All the attention shifted towards them as everyone started cheering them. All of them were grabbed and thrown in the air as a form of gratitude, which didn't bother them much.

'' Now, now, I am sure that you want to thank them all, but we have an important mission from the Council. We must not fail them at any cost, or our race maybe the next to perish. Tomorrow at dawn, we will attack the threat with everything that we have. Go have a rest as tomorrow is a significant day for us all and thank you again. Enjoy your day.''

Runedath, Runedath. The crowd started cheering, and eventually they all went their own ways. The brothers didn't know what to do, so they had a little talk.

'' We have to go tomorrow.'' said Orpheus. '' Even if we do not want to, we don't have a choice really. If we say we do not want to kill the next threat as he says, he may become suspicious of us.''

'' I am not going.'' said Anastasius.

'' What?'' said Chronos.'' What do you mean, you are not going? You do not have a choice, remember?''

'' I do not care. I will be a part of genocide of an innocent race just because that bastard that doesn't even serve the Council and uses their name so that he can accomplish his selfish goal. I am tired of the slaughter that we did for centuries. Furthermore, I had enough. I will not kiss the ground and let myself be wielded as a tool. Do you hear me brother?'' said Anastasius as he got close to Chronoses face. He was left speechless. Every thing that Anastasius said was true, but they didn't have the luxury to chose whether they wanted to go or not, they had to go otherwise they would all be dead.

'' Listen here you.'' said Chronos as he grabbed him by the neck and pushed him backwards.'' You are going to this so-called mission whether you like it or not. You are not the only one that is being used like a tool. We all are. You think that I want to kill those innocent souls? I am as much tired of the slaughter as well, the only difference between me and you is that I know it has to be done, because our lives are at stake here.''

'' He is right, Anastasius.'' said Perseus.'' We will figure something out.''

'' What if it is too late by then? What if, after this mission that Runedath likes to call, we imperil the balance and the Council punishes us? What will we do then?'' No one said anything and they just lowered their heads.

'' Answer me!'' yelled Anastasius.

'' I don't know!.. I don't know!'' said Chronos.

'' I thought so. Listen, for me this is the last mission that i will be going. I do not care anymore. You are either with me or against me, it is your choice. Bye.'' said Anastasius as he stormed of.

'' Wait!'' yelled Orpheus. When he tried to go after him he was grabbed by Perseus who shook his head.

'' Leave him for now. It is better that he is alone at this moment.''

Orpheus exhaled.'' If you say so brother.''
