The Shards of EL

El, the Empress of the Universe, is the last organic being in existence and responsible for fighting against the inevitable entropy of everything. Her empire is built on the foundation of the Eternity, a machine that simulates a vast number of universes inside its endless arrays of supercomputers. Tended to by its custodian drones and AI sub-routines, the Dyson swarm begins to malfunction as errors mysteriously appear in its code.

El realizes that the disastrous decay is guided by an enigmatic cult known as Oblivionis.

As she delves deeper into the mysteries of the machine, El discovers the cult has been empowered by lost parts of her mind, enabling them to leap between realities and even affect events in realspace. With the damaged pieces of her soul in the hands of her enemies, it’s only a matter of time before everything fails.

El knows she must take back her shards.

Not only to stop them from destroying the realities that they have corrupted, but also to prevent the end of realspace entirely. But as she digs deep into the realities of her past, she realizes that the only way to stop The End is to confront her own regrets and traumas that have built over the eons she has spent inside those simulated worlds.
