10 pm…
*Step*
Violet approached the southern bench. She was nervous, of course, but nowhere near as much as when she woke up today, mostly thanks to Ralf's efforts and words. Now, fresh from victory and a shower, the princess advanced with an air of calm and confidence swirling around her person.
And nearing her destination, the princess' calm and confidence spiked. His expression was slightly different and instead of the usual blonde, his hair was dyed black. Still, the sight of Ray, one who bore the same face as Ralf, who so readily greeted her with affection and smiles, inspired feelings of warmth and welcome in the princess' heart.
Spurred on by these feelings, Violet picked up the pace. Completing the last leg of her journey, she ran through her prepared words and actions one last time.
'Here goes...everything,' Violet thought before seating herself on the bench.
Ray greeted her as he did the others, with his eyes shut and his lips wrapped around a straw. gently sipping. The princess didn’t mind - rather, she preferred it. She cast her gaze at the rippling lake and gathered her moxie with a breath. A gust of wind blew through the area. It was chilly and sent the pair’s hair and clothes into a dance. Violet smiled at its passing; the winds struck her and her figurative sails alike. Propelled forward, her lips parted.
“Quite a chilly night, isn’t it?” Violet mused out loud before conjuring several small lightning orbs near her. “Mmm, much better,” she voiced as the orbs' heat reached her.
Initiating the first and most important step of her plan, Violet focused intently on Ray’s reaction to it. His reaction was…as predicted. After a slight falter, his expression began loosening into a soothed look. Taking this in with a glancing side-eye, Violet surged with equal parts relief and joy. Delighted by the result, she continued.
“Oh, I should have asked first, do you mind the orbs, Ray?”
The straw slipped out of Ray’s mouth at the question. “Not at all. Continue as you are. This is quite pleasant."
Violet smiled. “Glad you like it. Ralf said you would but…I can never know with him.”
Ray couldn’t help but nod. “A coin flip is more reliable.”
The princess raised a brow. “Even to you?”
“Especially to me,” Ray replied with a sigh before resuming his sipping.
“Mm, I see,” Violet said thoughtfully. “Well, that’s part of his charm, I suppose. And at the very least, I lucked out this time and got exactly what I wanted.”
To these sincere words, the Transmigrator remained silent. Still, a glance at his body language told Violet all she needed to know. Happy, the princess returned her focus to the lake. The sounds of nature and the buzzing of her orbs took the fore as the pair went silent.
Violet didn't rush to break the silence, finding it most pleasant. Then, being the true Mimic she was, she decided to copy Ray. She got comfortable on the bench, assuming the same posture he did, shutting her eyes and savouring the milkshake she had brought along. At the same time, she conjured up more lightning orbs and had them surround the bench to amplify the heating effect. Not hearing or sensing any resistance from the Transmigrator, Violet rejoiced internally while thanking her past self for preparing so thoroughly.
The lightning orbs’ heat and placement weren’t random or guesswork on Violet's part. In an attempt to ease her anxiety, Violet asked Ralf for Ray’s precise preferences when it came to heaters. Ralf, wanting their encounter to go smoothly as well, did what he had to. He shifted to the Mental Space and investigated the question. After doing so, he returned to Violet's side with the desired data and used himself as a test subject to ensure that everything would be to his other self’s liking. Thanks to his ‘selfless’ efforts, Violet succeeded in her current aims.

Satisfied with step two, Violet let her mind wander - or rather, the sensations reaching her forcefully dragged it away. The heat from the orbs and the cold from the milkshake was a combination that would make Yin and Yang envious. Caught up in it, a whirlwind of pleasant sensations ravaged the princess’ being, sending her consciousness to Nirvana and back, repeatedly.
With Violet feeling this way, Ray had it a hundred times worse/better…and it quickly showed. True to Ralf’s earlier words, Violet watched as Ray began melting into a puddle of delight.
His expression loosened into a blissful stupor while his body grew slacker by the second. It got to the point where his Psi had to hold up the milkshake container because his hand dropped down as if lame. A minute later, even the act of sucking was delegated to his Psi.
Violet let this process play out in silence while she focused on maintaining the warmth. Only after five minutes of this treatment did Violet see fit to speak again.
Her subsequent words weren't for conversation's sake, something Ray picked up very quickly and appreciated; he wasn't in the state to trade words, after all. He silently listened as Violet opened up about herself and recounted her life story in as few words as she could.
Her likes and dislikes; her hobbies; her early childhood; her confinement and boredom in Saures; and lastly, her last three weeks at the Academy, to which the princess gave the most air time.
After spending two minutes on her life in Saures, Violet would spend five minutes recounting her last three weeks at the Academy. She detailed various points of delight, giving credit to her new friends, one by one. She kept Ralf for last and devoted the most amount of time to account for their various fun interactions between them, mentioning the last week of mischief as well as their earlier victory. Once done, Violet moved to a related matter, Ray himself.
“...Since the first Dragon Prince film, I’ve been wanting to meet you. I couldn’t believe such a creation was possible, nor the mind who could conceive it. It was love at first sight…for the medium that is,” the princess corrected with a fake cough as a tinge of red appeared on her cheeks.
“I’ve wanted to meet the creator ever since, to thank them…and now, I’ve got the opportunity. I heard from Ralf that recreating anime was your idea, for that…I thank you, Ray, it’s wonderful.”
As he listened to Violet’s words, Ray's consciousness came to. Finding himself, he shrugged. “I…didn’t do it for the world, just for my mother’s sake.”
“That’s even more wonderful,” Violet said with a warm smile.
The Transmigrator shrugged again, though his expression told of his satisfaction. He moved to sip some more milkshake but after a futile few sucks, he realised that he was out.
“Need a refill?”
Ray squinted at the words before glancing at her milkshake container. As if reading his thoughts, Violet flashed a smile and then shook her container. The sloshing of ice told of it being empty as well.
“No luck here. But there are some in my room, in the fridge. Bought a few before coming here. Want to head over and pick them up?”
Ray blinked slowly at the question - he had to. He had never seen such an obvious trap in his life. And yet, just like the lightning orbs, even knowing did him no good in resisting.
“Sure, let’s go.”
