On Rei’s end, he had already nuked the next multi-arrow arrow in place, then wrapped Psi threads around the arrows in a similar manner to the coat straps. Upon finishing, he severed the coat straps. Now with everything being held in place by his Psi, he let loose. Ensuring everything was on its way, Rei dematerialized the Psi threads holding everything in place, causing the small arrows to naturally spread out.
Swoosh!
The rushing wooden wall stirred Ralf’s surprise, but a moment later, his heart returned to a still lake. With blank eyes and a cool mind, he calmly pushed through this obstacle. Shifting away from the large arrow, the only real threat, he turned to his side and barrelled through with his shield.
Dismissing the shield, he thrust his focus forward. Through the screen of lingering dirt, he honed in on Rei’s glimmering silhouette some 15 meters away. ‘You’ve had your chance, time to end thi- ah?’
Ralf's mind froze as he took in his other self's actions. Immediately after firing his multi-arrow arrow, Rei had flung a volleyball-sized Psi projectile his way. Upon nearing him, the structure broke into dozens of different Psi projectiles.
The thing that stunned him was the fact that all these Psi projectiles were flying via manual control. Manual control wasn't bad in itself, in fact, it was very useful against those like Ralf and Rei who couldn't wear permanent Psi armour. Still, it was only a viable option when the number of Psi projectiles was kept low. That's why Rei's decision didn't make sense. With his Psi split forty-some ways, the power behind each Psi projectile was minuscule. Ralf could easily tank their collective barrage.
Ralf's confusion wouldn't last long though. It cleared within an instant as he caught sight of what lay embedded in the Psi projectiles. When he noticed several more, and the direction they were pointed at, everything clicked in his mind.
Panic set in and he immediately jolted into action. Knowing that escape and tanking everything was impossible, he unleashed an omnidirectional telekinetic wave in hopes of shifting their aim.
But by this point, it was too late. Rei's mental command was registered and carried out. The Psi projectile acted as both the hammer and barrel. The primer was struck at its centre, the propellants reacted ballistically, and the bullet blasted through the shoddy makeshift barrel towards its target. The aim was far from precise, but it didn’t need to be.
Bullet Festival: Reverse Firework!
*Bang* *Bang* * Bang*…
Puncturing through the telekinetic wave, the bullets riddled Ralf’s body, from every angle bringing his health to zero.
Ding!
The system prompt and glorious victory music played along with the usual message.
((Match Complete. Rei wins.))
Where one pouted, another wore a smug grin. Which one belonged to whom need not be asked.
After the mandatory minute that was placed in between matches for the winner to bathe in positive emotions and the loser to bathe in negative, the two resumed their matches.

Swoosh!
Rei darted forward and unleashed a flurry of kicks. These had greatly troubled Ralf throughout the match, the many bloodstains on his body proof of his trouble. But Rei had extended his combination a kick too many, which Ralf immediately punished.
Sliding forward, he slipped under Rei’s whipping kick and arrived at the other’s backside. Then, in one smooth motion, he wrapped his arms around the other’s waist and performed a suplex. Without caring about the usual considerations, Ralf ruthlessly smashed Rei head-first into Lagner’s concrete streets. A loud bang rang out followed by the sound of squishy splashing; blood and brain matter painted the street in their grotesque hue.

Like torrents of destruction, the two zipped from story to story. With a blade-wielding Ralf in hot pursuit, Rei crashed into Boss Desmond’s office.
Entering a moment later, Ralf’s sword scattered into particles. Psi moved to his right hand, which he then swiped down like a cat claw. As he did, a Slicing String came whipping out from each fingertip. It was fast, leaving no room to dodge.
But Rei didn’t panic. These Slicing Strings weren’t threats to him. In the brief window he had, he materialized Psi armour on his top half. The sharp threads crashed down, but as expected, couldn’t damage him in the slightest.
But Rei’s body wasn’t Ralf’s target.

‘Ah?’
Rei’s mind froze as the gravity of the situation hit him. Ralf’s Slicing Strings had slashed the floor below him, sending his footing to hell. Struck with a feeling of weightlessness, Rei’s actions were delayed by a moment. Ralf didn’t let this moment of vulnerability pass by without punishment.
Psi Drill.
Darting forward, he drove his drill-covered left hand through Rei’s hastily formed guard. Breaching his chest, Ralf crushed his other self’s heart mercilessly.

Heads decapitated, limbs severed, blood-splattered; no battle went without its fair share of gore and gruesomeness.
The acquisition of Telekinetic powers had given the Mental Space a realism patch. The two had recorded Ralf’s body with their Psi Scan perfectly and used this data to modify their personal avatars. The body’s natural inner rhythms; the jiggling of the brain, the blinking of the eye, the speed of blood flow, the heartbeat; everything was crafted to be extremely accurate.
The Health Points system which was more akin to a game's till now, now mirrored reality much more closely. The two strove to decrease the difference between the Mental Space and the outside world even further. Only then would training yield maximum benefit.
The battles raged on.
With their pride and victory on the line, the duo continued to push each other further and further beyond their previous limits. Techniques, tactics, and strategies were rapidly added to their arsenal.
*Slice*
Landing on the ground after a successful front flip, a Psi katana-wielding Rei glanced back.
Ralf’s headless body wobbled in place for a few seconds before gravity sent it toppling backwards. Rei smiled at the sight before shifting to the head rolling on the street currently sporting a sour expression.
The usual announcement message and effects played out in the background.
“One mor-”
“Nope,” Rei cut in sharply.
“Scared?”
Rei shrugged. "Two hundred matches, that's what we agreed to beforehand and that's what we'll be sticking to…just accept it. If we keep indulging each other's 'one more', we’ll be fighting here forever.” He dismissed the sword and turned to leave. “Come, we have more important stuff to be working on. Perfecting our Psi techniques is next on the menu.”
Their Psi training continued.
