Chapter 18: Chapter 14.2 : The better cook

in the time that Amilia and Yuuji were getting ready for their leave to Aetherland they were making food at home and with Arnold joining them there was a lot of debate and arguing about the quality of the food
while Amilia is decent at cooking she only knows how to make 3 dishes and most of the times gets the ingredients wrong however Yuuji was taught how to cook as he lived most of his live with his grandmother who was a prolific chief in the neighbourhood her dishes were amazing you'd mistake it for an actual pro chief so Yuuji always watched and took notes of her
whenever he would ask her how she's so good at cooking she would answer "oh i'm making the dish for my cute little grandson so i'll put alllll my love into it"
"but grandma love isn't an ingredient is it ?"
"ara~ of course it is"
back to present day and Arnold is arguing with his big sister ,Amilia, about her cooking
"I bet he could cook better than you nee sama!!"-said Arnold pointing at Yuuji
"No no i'm not that great"-said Yuuji nervously
"You think he's better than your nee sama!? Fine Yuuji, i challenge you to a cooking battle!"-said Amilia with an annoyed look on her face
".. guess i have no other choice"-said Yuuji with a look of disappointment on his face
the rules of the challenge were as follows
rule number 1 : there's a 30 minute limit
rule number 2 : magic is not allowed
rule number 3 : Arnold will be the judge
after deciding on rules the timer began
Yuuji started to cook the rice while starting to work on fish while Amilia started to make chicken Yuuji was looking confident as he can multi-task with ease while Amilia struggled a little

"this is my speciality chicken dish please enjoy it"-said Amilia presenting her dish
while yes it was her speciality she can't cook it to the correct temperature so it looked burnt on one side and raw on the other
"yeah... no thanks this is a 3/10 for sure"-said Arnold looking disgusted
"How!! this is my speciality"-said Amilia whining like a kid
"Next you have some classical dish from my home country Fish and rice"-said Yuuji presenting his dish looking proud of himself
"oh that looks like it'd taste good"-said Arnold while he's about to take a bite
"It's amazing!! 10/10 no 15/10 !! nii-san you are amazing at cooking"-said Arnold who was very excited by the dish
"i told you i'd win any day of the week"-said Yuuji looking at Amilia
"This is unfair!!"-said Amilia still whining like a kid
"hey you can have some too"-said Yuuji trying to cheer Amilia up
and that's how Yuuji ended up being the cook of the house by winning against the previous bad cook
